WDW Commando Club

I hope you get to it all! :goodvibes We are going for 5 days. I have about 42 park hours planned and might try to squeeze a few more out with the extended holiday hours that were posted last week. My breakdown so far is:
19 hours at MK
13 hours at EPCOT
6 hours at DHS
4 hours at AK
I know I won't get to it all, but I'm going to try anyway!
:santa:

IMO I think you have plenty of time at MK should be able to get everything done :goodvibes

Epcot- Depending on crowd level, you should be able to get pretty much everything done, might have to make a small cut list:confused3

DHS - Depends on your agenda, myself I'm not a big movie person, My DW & DS like it more than me:lmao: I have only 9hrs at HS, I hope I can get it all done in the timeframe and get out.:scared1:

AK - Low on the list for most, DS LOVES animals, his favorite is the naked mole rats:scared1::confused3,plus he's big into Dino's it's a hard park for my son to leave, I gave the park alot more time than most would do but the way my son is now there might be a future in something related, maybe he will be a Vet or something:confused3

Now when are you going, I'll be able to give you a better view when I get back:goodvibes

5 Days from now I'll be on the train, this is where it all comes together:goodvibes I have nothing to do during the 18 hr ride so it's all about filling in all the final phases, it's no longer months, weeks, days, it's when the train stops in FL:scared1: While my DW & DS sleep I am planning thier next weeks Destiny:goodvibes, this year it is alittle harder to do as in past trips, never had all the extra Christmas events going on + meets:goodvibes

I'm feeling good about everything thus far, and hope we can pull it off, on the other hand if everything goes well , I'll have a hell of a challange in Aug. to try and top it:scared1:

We are arriving on the 18th, I can't believe it's almost here! I'll be checking to see what you post when you get back!
Thanks
:goodvibes

I used this site: http://pages.prodigy.net/stevesoares/index.htm

I think it only goes 1 week out, but generally show times don't change that much (I think)...

Just printed out the sheets on all the show times, Reg & Christmas show & event times (another 30 pages of info:scared1:)

At least I'll have something to do on the train ride down, trying to get in as many shows & events in as possible, that I already didn't fit into the plans:woohoo:

Woo hoo! I'm jealous that it's already trip time for you! :thumbsup2 I've decided we definitely have to go next Dec for sure! So now I'm trying to decide on getting an AP to use for the upcoming May/June trip and then for Dec or what! :confused3

I hope you're having a wonderful trip! Can't wait to hear about it!

We are back sad to say, we were able to get all the Christmas events done:woohoo:

Rides we were not going to go on became King, my son loves MS, Soarin, Expo Everest all rides we were going to skip
Mission Space 11 Times Green side of course

Crowds were not too bad until late afternoon when the cheerleaders came out (most had very poor adult supervision and in a few cases were running wild:scared1:)

TR Day 1

The Autotrain arrived early at 7:45am, by the time the van came off and we were on our way it was almost 9am. :cool1:

We arrive at All Star Movies around 10am, go to check in and to my surprise our room is ready:goodvibes

I unpacked half our house and brought it to the room, decieded to change and shower, then had lunch in The All Star Movie Cafe (actully food was good with a big selection).

Arrive at Epcot around 1pm came in on Monorail yellow (son wanted to ride Monorail in, it was a good call scored 2trading cards :woohoo:)

1st ride we hit was TT promised son we would do it 1st, 40min wait oh well we only have 2.5hrs in Epcot anyway before heading out for dinner:confused3

After TT we went to the Meet & Greet with Duffy (10min wait), Then it was off to Norway to see the storyteller, also meet a fellow Dis Dad Chris there. IMO the storyteller in Norway is the best one:banana:

Off to the 3 Kings in Mexico & a Margarita, after the show it was off to the Bus to go to POR for a 5pm ADR at Boatwright Dinning Hall, of course we get off at the wrong stop at the FQ (had no idea that POR had 5 stops:scared1:) No big deal we took the boat to Riverside and Boatwright was right there, we were the 1st ones there, seated quickly, and were eating in no time,(I had the Prime Rib) Everything was great at the Boatwright I would recommend it. the only thing I didn't like was that it took along time to get to, and getting back to a park took awhile. Although it was great I would hesitate since it burned alot of travel time:confused3

Day 1 Pm to be cont.

MiceFan have a GREAT trip:cool1: It was pretty cold there, Remember to pack a warm coat:scared1:

Thanks! I've been waiting to pack to see what the weather might do. Hoping to get it done tomorrow so we can have an easy morning before we fly out on Saturday!
:santa:

... or maybe just 100% preoccupied with Christmas right now? Because I leave 2 weeks from Friday and I haven't planned anything beyond one ADR and what parks on what days! For my last trip, I knew everything as far in advance as possible, had our schedule down to the half hour mark, was buying things to pack 6 months ahead of time and was so excited I couldn't stand it. I am excited for this trip, but for some reason I'm just not feeling it like I was just a few months ago.

I thought my commando friends might understand, has anyone else ever suffered from this? How do I snap out of it??! :confused3

That's pretty much what I had before we got on the train I did most of what I wanted to get done when in route to WDW, Everything got done but my son really threw me a loop,

Your instincts will return even if it is when you arrive, IMO you will be just fine:cool1::goodvibes

I started a trip report page since I'm doing it for the Commandos and The Dis Dads, might as well be one big happy family:goodvibes

The TR is Titled A Commando Trip Report 6 Days Almost 100 On The Move Hours!

All are Welcome to join in:goodvibes

Thanks! I will have several hours of sitting in the airport and on the plane so I'll just make sure I have everything printed out and in my carry-on.

I'll be checking our your TR, it will give me something to do today because there is no one in the office! I love the holidays

Is anyone planning on going to WDW in August:confused3 I don't know what week yet we are going, but maybe we can get a Commando trip going:confused3

Would you believe my parents (who don't believe in having schedules on vacation) called me last night to ask if we had dinner reservations for every night at Disney (we leave a week from tomorrow)?! I reminded them that I was told to only book one dinner (on DHs birthday) and they wanted to "wing it" the rest of the time.

Lucky for me, the crowds must be pretty small during our stay, because I was able to book 2 more dinners around our crazy park hopping schedule (that no one else in the family knows about :lmao:).

I scored a 9:20 reservation at Artist Point and a 4:00 reservation at Rose and Crown. I had my pick of times and restaurants, but chose the off times to maximize time in the parks. Also Mom and DH are extremely picky eaters... sure hope they find something on the menu at these places! :scared1:
