WDW Commando Club

This is getting interesting when I went last year these 2 cards were pulled for misprints:confused3 So I heard they were either going to reprint the cards or come out with a new set, on my #25 card it is Sebastian and it is a Mark VI Monorail card but it has a pic of 11 small pics of the 11 monorails, what does your have on it:confused3 (maybe I got something rare here)

I just have one monorail.

I just have one monorail.

Wow:cool1:, I'll have to PM you in the next couple days and try to figure out if it's a new set or if they remade and rereleased those 2 cards:confused3, since I got those 2 cards like a week or 2 after I got back I am pretty sure they are the true cards pulled, I'm really curious why they pulled them:confused3, Your cards might hold the answer:confused3

It's a little more yellowy to my eyes but yes, I could see the peach.

When they were released card #12 & #25 were pulled for typos:confused3 the original #25 card was a pic of 11 small monorails the typo was on the back saying 12 monorails, it was later replaced with next monorail to be added to the fleet (peach, don't know if it's in operation or not yet:confused3), as far as #12 card they fixed the typo and was rereleased:thumbsup2

Now on my next trip I have to get these 2 cards, I have a complete 25 card set, with the original #12 & #25 cards, so the original #12 card is rare but since they totally changed the #25 card and very few got out, it's super rare, it will be a sought after valuable set with both pulled & replacement cards:thumbsup2

So I have the corrected cards?

So I have the corrected cards?

For those 2 cards you have the corrected cards, all the other cards are the same.

This set of cards is series 2, series 1 was out a few years ago and was pulled after the monorail accident, it had 18 cards

I also have that complete set, I know when we were talking about the cards way back there where lurkers laughing that someone would hunt these cards down, it took some time to get them all but considering I think it a wise venture:scratchin

My DH was really excited about this when you first mentioned them. We started looking the next trip.

It's too bad that I won't be going while you're there, because I love to meet up with you so that DH could see your collection.

Starting this year we are doing 2 WDW trips a year, so maybe next time you go I'll be there, would love to meet up:thumbsup2

But if you want to keep your DH excited with the cards since it seems like he really enjoys them, you can most likely find the cards you are missing on ebay (what a great gift idea:confused3) They usually list them as Disney Transportation Trading Cards, you can even find 1st series cards there:thumbsup2

I have a new venture I would like to try next trip but right now it's a myth to me, has anyone herd, seen, know if they exist currently, or did exist, another trading card "Too Small To Ride" cards given to kids who are not tall enough to get on certain rides:confused3, Do they exist, if they do Commando is going to find them:thumbsup2

I think I mentioned this once before I got the info from a reliable source, but details were lacking, as of now it's like looking for Bigfoot

Just noticed we are 47 views shy of 80,000:cool1:, That means there are a lot of lurkers, nothing wrong with that, I am personally inviting any lurker who is a Commando or maybe even interested in the Commando way to post and join us, We don't bite, and we are not going to flame you for planning a full day:thumbsup2, Even if you don't get to everything you planned, it's all about having a good time while you are at WDW:cool1: If you have a question even if you think it's stupid, our motto is the only stupid question is the one not asked:confused3

I was talking to someone in line yesterday at Sesame Place while waiting for the Imagination Movers Meet & Greet (1st in line:thumbsup2), but anyway we were talking about the other Busch properties, since we had the same pass, I did not realize there is a bus that goes from SeaWorld to Busch Gardens Tampa:confused3, when we got home I looked it up and sure enough there is at $10pp round trip. It looks like they only run 1 time a day (I'll have to call and get more info), But this changes some planning (had 2 days up in the air), We have passes for Busch Gardens so it looks like we will be going:banana: Never know what you might learn while talking to people in line:thumbsup2

Just picked up a small pocket notebook to start planning next trip, I break it down by days & hours that we will be there, but I list a bunch of things to do in 4hr clips, this way it is a lot more flexible:thumbsup2

The only things that are written in stone are ADR's, shows, and any other resisses:cool1:

What is thing called a notebook that fits in your pocket? My phone is there but my notebook sits on my desk. Is it a Mac or PC? :lmao:

Way back along time ago notebooks were made of paper:scared1: Where people would use something called a pen to write things down in it::yes:: Although now endangered but not yet extinct, you can make a investment of about 79 cents and not have to worry about loosing something worth hundreds of dollars :scratching I think the old school was on to something:rotfl2:

Hmmm, this ancient technology you speak of sounds vaguely familiar. We may have dug for them on a field trip at school. :rotfl:

But, I couldn't pass that up. I'm old enough to have started at my job 17 years ago when people didn't have their own computers. I get some strange looks when I say that.

It is funny, even though we are not old, we have been working before a lot of co workers were even born:scared1: They are usually lost if the PC breaks down at work, it's like time standing still:rotfl2: That's where us old school guys save the day, with the way before the PC:lmao: I still find the old ways easier:confused3

It's like those young whipper snappers out there who can't add accurately without a calculator, and are lost without one. I routinely do long addition just for the fun of it, and can add faster than a calculator. Calculators are for the math challenged if you ask me. And don't go on about the computer that DH threatens to throw out the window when it doesn't work as fast as he want's it to. He upgraded his cell phone for a better keyboard a couple of days ago, but I know that he got it so that he could download Angry Birds onto the phone so he could play it:rotfl:. Got the kids addicted to it, and now they are pestering him all the time to play it, much to his dismay.

It is good to know there is still a purpose for us old timers. 10 more years and am eligible for parole, er umm, retirement. I may stick it a few more because when I retire, I don't want to do any more work. I'm hoping my 401Ks and retirement will be enough. But, in reality, even I stay those extra few years, I'll be over 5 years away from being old enough to draw from my 401K. I am hoping my retirement will sustain me.

Upgrade for Angry Birds. The real reason most people get smartphones. :rotfl: Actually, mine was simple enough. I did it for the calendar access. I am on the road routinely, am scheduled out this year thru January, and need a quick way to access my calendar. Angry Birds was just a plus.

I keep all my ADRs and confirmation numbers on it. It is nice to check that throughout the year as well. Keeps me going.

If I remember correctly when I went to school you got a zero for the day if you had a calculator, now you get a zero for the day if you don't have one, go figure:confused3

Planning for a WDW trip I don't use any tour guide sites or even care about park crowd, I prefer to come up with my own plan, keeps the mind sharp:thumbsup2
