WDW Commando Club

@Disney commando, my tablet wouldnt let me quote was you just said lol, but I totally agree, we also go commando by choice.

I for one am a Commando by choice, I've been to WDW enough that I could relax if I wanted to, but I Love WDW and can never get enough, If I'm going on vacation to relax and hang out it's not going to be a Disney vacation:confused3

Believe it or not, we find the Commando way very relaxing and rewarding:woohoo: I'm convinced it keeps me young:cool1: My son is 6 and has been to WDW 7 times, he is very active and can't get enough, He is already asking when we will be there again:yay: He cries when we leave:headache:

I don't care if we go on rides a dozen times if my son is happy, It's things he will remember long after I'm gone and hope he will do it with his family (I hope I'm around when he has little ones, even if I need a scooter I'll be there:goodvibes)

IMO even if someone goes to WDW on relaxing vacation, somewhere along the line they will go Commando, if they realize it or not:rolleyes1

ron on a scooter!!! i can see you plowing through on a scooter! :thumbsup2
monday i had to take my wife to philly for an m.r.i. while she was in the m.r.i. machine at 7am, i was in the back of our minivan, on the phone, papers all over, making our adrs for may!!! m.r.i. or not, monday was 180 days, im calling!!! the first thing she asked me, "did we get everything??" :lmao:

Let's try something fun:confused3

Let's share how you would plan a certian day (example - AM EMH at MK with a Noon ADR at CRT, Epcot later in the day with a PM EMH with a 7pm ADR at Teppen Edo)

Now all of you going to WDW soon might be stuck on what you might want to do during a certian day:confused3, So maybe we can come up with some different ideas that can help you out:confused3

Everyone most likely will come up with something different, there is no wrong or right answers, in fact what you might put together as a plan would be from a few ideas:woohoo:

This is a What would you do:confused3 So no grilling if you don't agree, it's all opinion:cool1:

So if you have a situation let's hear it, Let's see what we can come up with:banana:

our trips are easy. i divide each day into two parts, am and pm. am, is we are at the emh park, 30 min. before rope drop. we dont plan rides but we do hit as many as pos. before 9am. we never miss a rope drop. dw has some health issues so we head back to our resort around 1pm. pm,(3-4pm) in most cases we are in epcot to eat. our daughter is grown and dw and i go to eat like most people go for the rides. :lmao: we always find something, ride, event something that we dont do. that way, it gives you a reason that you have to come back.:thumbsup2 we always have another trip planned before we head out on the trip at hand. again, alot easier to leave if you know you are coming back in 3-6 months later. :thumbsup2 now that we dont have little kids or no kids in tow at all, we carry no bags, back packs, wallets etc... we carry very little. all that stuff slows you down lugging it around. (i know some of you have little ones, we did to but it will be something to look forward to till, dare i say, grand kids.:lmao:)we always walk with a purpose. lally putzing around gets you know where and gives you sore feet.:thumbsup2 and lastly, you can sleep at home, your in walt disney world!!!!! :yay:

OK .... we will be at WDW on 12/4 after we get off our cruise in Tampa. ;) Our plan is to drive to Lake Buena Vista and stop at DDD to purchase our AP's. Then we will drive to Sheraton Vistana Villages to hopefully check in to our condo early. Go to Publix and lay in some groceries. Head to HS for Fantasmic! and our first viewing of the Osborne Lights during our trip. Does this sound like a plan? The only way it would not work is if we can't get in to our villa earlier than the official check-in time of 4 pm. It would also help if there were 2 showings of Fantasmic that night. Anybody care to speculate on that possibility?

If we can't get into our villa until 4 pm, we might skip the groceries until evening after we get back from HS.

Hi all! Just need to vent for a moment! I found out today that 3 out of my 10 PTO days that I requested for the end of May/beginning of June for my WDW trip in 2012 were denied!! :scared1: :faint:

The denied days fall where I can't even just try a shorter trip. The 2nd, 4th and 8th days were the ones denied. This really stinks! Now I have to figure out a new plan..... :sad2:

IMO I think you will be OK, get your AP's and hit the store, pull up to the Sheraton about 3:30 (close enough plus by the time you wait in line and check in:confused3), In room at about 4, unload car, and be on the road to HS by 5, if it takes a 1/2 hour to get there and park, now it's 5:30, Fantasmic starts at 6:30:woohoo:

I looked at the park hours, there is a PM EMH, but if you only go to the Osbourne lights, I don't think they check room keys unless you are going on a ride, but to be on the safe side, I would be in that area right after Fantasmic:confused3 I would also recommend seeing it a few times, from different spots (It's awesome:yay:)

:scared1: I know the feeling:mad: The 1st or last day is never the problem, it's always something inbetween:headache: (think work does this on purpose, because they are not going anywhere and want everyone to suffer:rolleyes1)

We were going to go the last week of June (oh no it's one of the July 4th weekends:eek:) and we were going to go on Jersey week in Nov (wife has 3 days off that week for teachers convention, but she has to go to a workshop for 4hrs:headache:, she's not even a teacher:confused3)

So now we are going August 19-25

Dave, years from now you never know:confused3, For now you know 1st hand I move like the wind:lmao: I could be right next to you, and if you stop to buy a soda, I'll be at the other end of the park:scared1:

I can see your wife after the m.r.i. asking if you got all the ADR's:lmao: Hope everything turned out OK, she's a keeper, plus she understands zerfibonics:lmao: :goodvibes

Just found out my next door neighbor is going to be in WDW the exact same days as us.
As well I helped a buddy from work plan his first family vacation, also the exact same days as us.
Both families are rookies, and depending on me to help them.

I told them - I will help you with plans, strategies, where to eat, how FP's work, etc... but once we get there - I am on MY FAMILY vacation and you are on your own. If you want to follow us, follow us - but we tour at OUR pace - and wait for no one. :lmao:

I am just worried once we get there, they will be offended if we don't tour them around. Or if they say "Hey, this looks cool, let's try it" and my response is "See ya, I ain't going anywhere near Stitches Great Escape ever again" :rotfl2:

Thanks for the additional idea. We'll probably try that. We probably won't get off the ship until about 10ish, then by the time we get to the hotel to get the car, load it up and drive to WDW, I anticipate we might not get there until 1 or so. Noon would be better if the ship is good at disembarkment.

Yes, we will see the Osborne lights whenever we can! Love it! And since Epcot doesn't show Illuminations until 9:30 every night, do two things in evenings without moving the car. Got to catch the Candelight Processional once or twice, too.

Wow Brian, you got a full plate:scared1:, You will have my cell # could probably pull the mandatory club meeting excuse:lmao: if you feel the need to bail on them:confused3

So, we can't hang out then? :lmao::lmao:

Working in the store this week, I think I have I have it down pat picking out shoppers that would no plan what so ever if they went to WDW:lmao: :rolleyes1

They are shopping for Thanksgiving dinner, but look like a deer in headlights:lmao: If it's a project just doing the shopping, I wouldn't want to be at the dinner:scared1:
