WDW Commando Club

Still haven't booked anything for Star War weekends waiting on another family, we have 4 trips slated for this year, the one in June is our up in the air trip with Sept after MNSSHP starts as a alternate, but now that the are having Star War Character Dining I'm hoping for June:thumbsup2

Nice job on the cards:thumbsup2, did you get the new card, it is the Friendship boat

I think I did get the Friendship Boat. I'll have to go dig them out. One of the skippers also had one for some of the big boats from the TTC to MK.

DH and I may be going Memorial Day Weekend for SWW. I got reservations at both meals. I also managed to snag ADRs for the meals when I go with my friends, so I may get to do it twice.

Without what rides or shows we are doing (that falls in place a day or 2 before the trip), I have our rough outline of where we will be:woohoo:.

Keep in mind that the Flower & Garden is going on at Epcot & as of now for the 4 days we are there the latest park is open till 10pm (since this is the week after Easter I'm sure extra hours will be added to MK:confused3)

Day 1 -

- 8am EMH at MK
- 12 noon Harmony Barbershop Haircut
- 1pm head to Epcot
- 4pm head to O'hana's 4:50pm ADR
- After dinner either Epcot or HS
- Hope extra MK hours are added and will head to MK:confused3

Day 2

- 8am EMH HS
- 1pm head to Epcot
- 6pm ADR Shula's
- Back to Epcot (Hermans Hermits Concert)
- Maybe MK if they add more hours:confused3

Day 3

- 8am EMH AK
- 2pm Epcot
- 4:30 Teppen Edo ADR
- after dinner a little more Epcot then to MK

Day 4

- 9am RD Epcot (hit TT a couple times)
- Finish anything in Epcot we missed
- Visit any park necessary to complete planned items
- 6pm get ready to catch Magic Express

Most of the after dinner parks will depend on if they add some late hours to MK or any of the parks

Some of the CM's are really great with the cards giving out as many different ones they have at one time, some will only give one, for the most part most do not have them:crazy2:

I should know tomorrow if we are going in June, the room only deal ends tomorrow and as of now it looks like the other family will book in the next 24hrs:thumbsup2

We will try to do 1 Character meal, if it's not too late, we will try for the breakfast, I know you have to give Credit Card, is that just incase you don't show for the no show fee like a lot of the meals have, or do you have to pay for the whole thing up front:confused3

You are just charged $10 if you're a no-show, but you have up until midnight FL time to cancel. It's not a per person fee either. If you show, but the rest of your party doesn't, you're fine.

The few CMs that had the cards gave me as many as I wanted. Some of them let me go through what they had and pick out anything that I needed. I would only take a few in those instances. Since we were staying at WL, I got lots of water vehicles, including a couple of the ones they use for private parties (if I remember correctly).

Thanks for the info, when I get home from work tomorrow I think I will book a breakfast, did they happen to say what time they started breakfast for this event:confused3

I got an 8:30 AM for the time I'm there with DH. I got a 9:15 AM for when I'm there with my girlfriends.

I'll have to ask what time the 1st seating is, this could be a HUGE time saving beat the lines thing if they start early enough, all you would need is to be out of there 5mins before the park opens, on the other side of the coin it can also throw you way back by missing the no line (short line) half hour, if you get out after the park opens:scared1:

I'll have to look at park opening times for that weekend, and maybe make a ADR for 1hr after the park opens, unless 1st seating is early enough:confused3

I made our, offsite, FP+'s at 11am-ish today for all of our second park hops for 4 days. The only thing that seemed to be gone was the 'Anna and Elsa meet and greet' in Norway.
Did it with dial-up with no problem.
It was a little strange to be picking things that we are usually running and sweating on the spot in times past.

Glad you what you wanted!

Hi!! I totally commando-ed my first adult visit to Disney in 2009. My husband loved it. We had touring plans, great ADRs - back at the hotel every day by 2 pm. We relaxed in the pool then then went back in for dinner. We saw and rode everything we wanted to and had a great trip. So when we booked a trip for this summer spur of the moment (to me - 142 days before trip) I was panicking about ADRs and taking our daughter who will turn three on the trip. So please look over my plan and tell me if I am planning too much or not enough or if I have totally forgotten something!

Our group: Me, DH, my mom and DD

Monday: arrive - flight lands at 3:30 - Dinner at BOG at 8:30 - hoping to get fast pass for one of the princess meets at Fairytale Hall - watch fireworks if the DD is still awake.

Tuesday: DD's 3rd Birthday - start in MK - CRT at 10:20 am, Chef Mickey's at 6:30pm - Touring plan just covering Fantasyland with a 3-4 hour break after CRT

Wednesday - MK - touring plan - tomorrowland and finish fantasyland - LTT at 6:30 - again a 3-4 hour break starting at 11:30ish.

Thursday - AK - Touring Plan with a 3-4 break at 11:30ish - dinner at Rainforest at 6:30

Friday - MK - touring plan - Adventureland and Frontierland - go back and ride anything else in Fantasy land. hoping to catch parade at 3:00 - built in 3-4 hour break about 11:30ish.

We are prepared to go back to the hotel each day for DD to catch a nap. If she won't nap because she is too excited or falls asleep in stroller we don't mind staying at the park and finding a semi-quiet spot for her to nap and us to relax.

So....have I over planned? too commando??

:welcome: You are member #254 :cool1:, IMO your plans look fine:thumbsup2, I can almost guarantee that things will keep being added as your trip grows closer, Disney keeps changing things all the time, so you never know what will be going on till you are ready to go on your trip:crazy2:

The 1st time we took our son he was 18months, he didn't sleep if we went back to the room, he was the king of stroller naps, it worked out good, this was our shopping time::yes::, If you are renting a stroller I would recommend the double, this way she can stretch out and you can store all stuff on it instead of having to carry it everywhere:thumbsup2

Glad to hear you got the FP+'s you were after:thumbsup2

I have the go ahead to book the Star War Breakfast when a time slot opens up:scared: I tried to book the Jedi dinner Fantasmic package but nothing in that time bracket, earliest thing available is 7:15, that's way too late the night would be shot:sad2: I'm sure something will open up , it's not like I'm not going to check about 50 times a day or anything:lmao::rolleyes1

Thanks for the welcome! :) I have a single stroller reserved from Magic Strollers right now. We wanted to have it walking to the bus/boat too. We are staying at WL so we are planning on getting our souvenirs delivered to WL as much as possible.

I am keeping a watch on the FP+ system too. Might do some park hopping in the evenings if we can get FPs for 2 parks in the same day. My mom will happily stay at WL with DD if she is asleep early. Her normal bed time is 9 ish. She is a major night owl but I am thinking Disney overload will get her most nights and she will be asleep earlier than usual. Do y'all find this to be true for most kids?

My DH must do's for this trip is the FoF parade and Wishes so I have put those 2 in the plans. We didn't see either last time. I am trying not to over plan so we can remain flexible since this is the first time we are taking DD. Like....we can catch the movie or campfire one night if DD is feeling up to it.

But needless to say....I am SUPER excited to share my love of all things Disney with my DD. She has been talking about going to see Mickey for almost a year but she has no clue we are going this summer.

Your plans seem great to me:thumbsup2 I assume you are doing RD and that will help you tremendously. Your DD will likely all asleep in the stroller or atleast wind down a bit. You may go back to the resort midday and check out some of their daily activities, plus the boat ride will be very relaxing after touring. As long as you have something comfy (light blanket/pillow) and plenty of snacks, your plan leaves plenty of room for Disney magic and down time. :goodvibes

Those APs are working for you. Have some great trips.

OK Finally someone from Disney figured out a sensible FP+ system that will be coming out soon:thumbsup2

- You can get more then 3 FP+'s in one day, providing you already used the 3rd one for the day, and you will be able to another after each additional one is used as long as there are some for that attraction available:cool1:

I would not recommend getting a FP+ for the Fireworks or parade as one of the 1st 3 since you have to wait till you use the 3rd one before you can get another:confused3

- Also you will be able to use FP+ in Multiple parks for the day, it was not said how that would work

When is this going to start:confused3, but I think you will agree this is a system us Commandos could live with:thumbsup2

That is great news! Can I ask what was the source? I actually found that the only place more than 3 fp+ is needed is MK. I really only need 1 at Epcot (due to tiering either soarin or tt) and 3 at DHS and ak worked for me.

Right here on The Dis Boards, Click on News on the top bar and it will have the story, this is the smartest thing they have come up with for FP+ so far and IMO it might actually work:confused3
