WDW Cable TV stinks.

It seems very funny too but some of us go for weeks or months and we don’t go to the parks every day and don’t take away Florida’s famous after noon rain storms so people would like to watch good TV at time
Sorry MNSPRK you posted when i was still typing

Thank you Jenn for the info on ATT Uverse I was thinking of switching. Now we have an Att DTV package and I don’t know if new boxes that use 3 LNB converts dish will work with my old single LNB convert dish I have for the RV and I don’t want to take the one from the house

I can answer on the use of single LNB camping dish for Direct TV for the 3 LNB High Def boxes. YES, it does work, you will just not get the HI Def channels, only standard definition. All the DTV standard def channels are on the 101 degree satellite, the other two LNBs are used for Hi Def and the majority of the specialty and foreign language channels which you may not be subscribed to anyway. You only need to shoot the 101 satellite, don't worry about the other two.

You 'may' have to go into the setup menu and tell the box you are on a single LNB antenna but probably not. Your mileage may vary, no warranty is expressed or given.:thumbsup2

I use mine camping if I am going to be there for awhile. That being said, I don't at WDW, the cable and off the air is fine for me, I love me some Hanna Montana!LOL

Who in the world would go to Disney and watch TV
I don't think anyone goes to WDW to watch TV.

Some people, maybe you're one, are able to stay busy doing WDW stuff, and that's great. But because of my situation, I don't have the need. For me staying at the Fort is not that big a deal. Don't get me wrong, I think the Fort is the best. It being at WDW is not a factor for us. Because of that, plus we don't have little kids to keep us busy, we probably have more slow time than other RVers that going to WDW and staying at the Fort is a very special occasion.
That being said, it's nice to be able to sit outside with your coffee in the morning and later at night, turn the TV on and have something other than Disney channels to watch or to just have on in the background during those times. Also, if you're into sports, I am, you don't stop being a fan while you're at WDW. And if you're a news junky, I am, you want more than what Disney wants to show.

In answer to your question, me.

Thanks for answering that, I completely forgot his question. I also use the single LNB even though we have (had) the triple LNB. I had no problems either.

My problem with Uverse is that they are having the same problem with pixels that DTV has when it rains, except there is no rain. It started with the HD unit in our family room about a month ago and now has spread to our other room and it also has spread to all parts of the day.

I am/was a U-Verse installer in CT:
1. How long have you had the service
2. Did it happen from the start
3. Did they use coax or cat5
4. Do you know if the installer changed all the ends on the existing coax (if coax was used)

1. I have had the service for 4 months.
2. No, it has been getting progressively worse for the past month, as with our whole 5 block area.
3. They used all new coax cables.
4. They used all new coax cables.

We use to borrow (from my parents) thier Direct TV box and it worked fine with our single LNB roof mounted dish. They switched to Dish Network. Anyone know what the deal is with using Dish with single LNB dish?

Oh, we have been know to set our satellite up before we parked the trailer to make sure we got a signal first (we did this in the 1600 and 1700 loop).:thumbsup2
