Curious, disney bus drivers need what class of CDL? Anyone know?

Class A or B with air brake & passenger endorsements.

Any valid license is sufficient to apply, subject to minimum driving experience and safe driving requirements. Disney provides paid training for the Class B road test by an in-house examiner.

Overall, I enjoyed it, but there are some challenges.

First, your schedule truly is at the whim of Disney. Buses run 24 hours a day. As a new driver, you would probably be driving mostly late night shifts, but you could also be given early morning shifts (even as early as 3am) and a few day shifts. You could be doing nights one week and mornings the next. You'll probably be working holidays and at least part of weekends. And as a part-timer, there may be weeks when you get no work or just one shift. I think the inability to tolerate the schedule is the main reason some new drivers don't make it past the first couple of months.

Second, you'll need to learn patience while driving and tolerance for crazy drivers. When you're driving a bus, everyone else wants to get in front of you. Guests without a clue and cm's rushing to make their shift will cut you off, make unexpected turns, and stop for no apparent reason. You have to always expect the unexpected and not take it personally.

There's also dealing with unhappy Guests (the minority), screaming kids, chanting tour groups, etc. Being able to let everything roll off your back helps a lot.
