It CAN be "over the top", so if you don't think you will want that, either specifically ask for it when you check in, or avoid going. There is a "quieter" end of the restaurant, but it is not a guarantee. Some of the things they do are:
If you ask for ketchup, your server will yell for it and people from other tables will bring you their bottle; you may end up with a dozen or so. You may also have to return the favor when "ketchup" is yelled again.
If you "steal" a taste of someone else's skillet (ie if someone else in your party orders it and you order something else) they may bring prison pars to your table and tie you to them.
If you ask for a refill too quickly, they may bring you out a huge jug-sized refill.
There are many other antics, too. Our waitress threw about 20 straws at us when she brought our drink order; we asked her to take our picture and she did and then proceeded to take our camera and take picture of her and other waitstaff; another waitress was decorating the hair of all of her customers with straws, just randomly walking by and sliding them into thier ponytails, etc.. They have stick horse races for the kids, and say that if you don't wave your napkin in the air and cheer, that they will make you ride the horse next. It was my DH's birthday, he didn't know we told them, and they made him get on a stick horse and sing real loud "Happy Birthday to Me" with our kids, and told him if he didn't sing it loud enough that they would make him do it again.
It was fun, but if you don't like the possiblity of antics, it may not be a good choice for you. Mind you, many of the reviews I've been watching lately have said that the waitstaff has been lacking in antics

I hope that won't be true the next time we visit!
