I know you all are thinking what is the comparison, but this is our first trip and with free dining to boot. I want to make the most of it. I've already booked the Sci Fi, but after reading the reviews on the food there and for the pure fact that I have not booked any meat and potatoes type of food, I'm considering changing my ADR and would like to get your opinion. popcorn::

I've been reading alot about the Whispering Canyon Cafe and it seems like a fun atmosphere and we really wanted to get a look at the Wilderness Lodge. Is this really out of the way and will it take up alot of serious park time? :confused3

Have you been here and do you have any opinions? Is the all you can eat skillet actually a buffet (I don't know if I like everything in the description)? I'm picturing everything in a skillet all thown together! LOL.

Do you think with the ages of my children ( pirate: ds5, pirate: ds9, pirate: ds15, princess: dd7) that this is a good idea?

I want to make this trip perfect! I can't remember the last time I was so excited! :cool1:

Thanks,

WCC all the way!

We were pleasantly surprised by the entrees, and my steak was great!

Sci Fi has the theming, but the food is well :confused3

WCC also allows you to glance at the gorgeous WL lobby while eating at most tables.

I love WCC, and can recommend it to anybody.

Thanks! I forgot to ask this question and I know it is going to come up if we go to WCC. Can you choose the milkshakes as your beverage or even dessert on the Disney Dining Plan?

I liked the food at WCC better than SciFi, but not much. We didn't have anything "fun" happen at all, except for the giant coke (we weren't expecting anything either so we weren't disappointed) The order took 45 minutes to arrive and was wrong then, the waiter said Goofy was cooking in the kitchen. Go to SciFi for the atmosphere if you have never been. Stick with burgers, they have great shakes. Our lunch there last year was not at all good, it was in fact awful. The onion rings were hard as rocks, the chicken ceaser salad had no dressing and DH's steak sandwich came on half a bun with no condiments or anything it was supposed to have. The waitress bought dressing and sandwich makings back in a seperate bowl, but it wasn't the same. It was also very dark, which we didn't notice the first time we ate there, so it may have been the car.

I have to say WCC, by far...We have been to SciFi 2 times, both times the food was just average if that. I loved the theming there, but we won't go back because of the food. WCC has good food and the atmosphere is great.
