I have an ADR for WCC in May for our family of 6. My youngest 2 will be ordering off the kids menu, but will get the skillet. There is no appetizers listed for the kids menu. Does anyone know it they do not get one? Can they order one from the adult menu?

My daughter did not get an appetizer last August when we went, there were no kids appetizers and she was not allowed to order an adult one, so we shared with her. I didn't make an issue about it but I think they are supposed to be allowed an adult appie if there isn't a child one listed.

My understanding is that when ordering the skillet, the salad that comes with it is considered the appetizer and you do not order a separate one.

I believe that the salad that comes with the skillet counts as the appetizer.

thanks...I don't know how I missed the salad that comes with the skillet! Thanks again!!

If they don't order the skillet they now have watermelon as one appetizer but I'm not sure what the other choice is--salad I think. Before Dec or Jan this year they didn't let kids have an app at all but that was changed. WCC actually has one of the most unique kids menus at WDW now.

Yup! The salad is the appetizer with the Skillet-for both child and adult. It was yummy, too! :upsidedow

I am glad to hear about the great tasting salad. We are really forwad to this meal! Thanks again for the replies!

We have lunch reservations at WCC in June, the skillet does not come with salad at lunch, so do you get to order an appitizer with the skillet at lunch? Or do they do salad even though it is not on the lunch menu?

TIA

Wow this place sounds great. Were thinking of going on our next trip. Now I'm eager to take the plunge. Can you tell me do the ribs and chicken taste just like HDDR's?? The reason I'm asking is I don't like them at all. So if I didn't could I just eat the bread and the salade and the sausages?? While the rest eat everything else? Also is there mac and cheese given to the kids?

Thanks for the review it was a hoot and the food did all look good and yummy!!!

Sorry, we can not compare the food at WCC to HDDR as we have never been to HDDR. You could always order an entree other than the skillet for yourself! All I can say is I was pleasantly surprised at the food at WCC! Mac & Cheese was not offered to us-maybe because we all, including the kids, ordered the Skillet? :upsidedow Glad you enjoyed our review! :thumbsup2

I could be wrong...but I think the menus at WCC changed recently and I don't recall seeing the skillet on the kids menu any longer. We were planning or thinking about ordering that for our DD on our upcomming trip....but then someone mentioned how they didn't see the bottomless shakes on the menu any longer and when I went to check it out for myself I think I remember seeing they didn't have the skillet listed on the kids menu either.
