WCC for Christmas dinner..who's has done it?

DH is not a fan of the antics at WCC, but the kids and I really want to try it for Christmas dinner. My SIL has ressies with us on them, and the CM said th menu is not the same as regular dinner , more traditional which is fine. My question is, do they tone the place down that day/night or is like any other crazy day there? DH is all for the decor at WL at Christmas, he just would like dinner to be more on the calm/normal side.

I went last year for Christmas dinner. The menu was set you could only get the special holiday skillet. We saw none of the antics. Our server was a little silly, he called my DD a princess or diva in a bad way for asking for more soda. Just kind of teased her a little, nothing major. He threw our strays at us and that is it. They did none of the stick races and no hollering of any kind. It was a calm meal.

on ALLERAS.NET they list "Holiday items/all you can eat" on past years. I am guessing maybe turkey, or ham...

The skillet was yummy. It had turkey, ham, roast chicken, and my DH's fav brisket as well as mashed potatoes, stuffing, green beans, and some cranberry thing. You also got a salad. The dessert was gross. It was a yule log they called it. It was dry and after one bite none of us ate anymore.

We enjoyed the meal though and did not feel rushed at all. It was very busy though and it seemed as though the staff was more rushed then we were. We really enjoyed the whole meal with the exception of the dessert.

We have eaten at the WCC many times on Christmas day. The menu varies a little but the main entree is the traditional turkey dinner with all the trimmings. One time they had sugar cured ham for a second meat entree and another time they had broiled salmon. It has been my favorite place to dine on Christmas night.
I noticed that it is not quite as loud as other nights but the last time our server was a hoot. First, he brought my wife the gallon jug of pop. Then halfway through the meal he came over with a plastic ketchup container and asked my 19 year old daughter if she needed any ketchup. He then squeezed the container and it looked like he squeezed ketchup all over my daughters sweater, but it was a red string coming out of the container. The look on my daughter in laws face was priceess. Then at the end of the night, he took my cc to pay the bill and after 10 minutes he comes back into our area and yells " I have an announcement to make. "Mr Gropp, your CC is".......and after a short pause, "good".
As for dessert, I remember the one year that we had pumpkin pie and whipped cream.
I think that your husband will enjoy dining at WCC on Christmas night.

We just ate there last week and all the food was terrible! Our waitor was not just funny, but very rude. When we told him that the food ws not to our liking, he looked at us and said "sorry your food sucked". I am all for fun and games, but I do not believe that was very playful, just rude. He then never asked us if we wanted anything else or needed anything. i would go somewhere else.

It's been several years ago, but we enjoyed a Christmas meal there. It was the traditional meal that has been explained above. Also, we were given the option of pumpkin pie which was good.

You can't beat the atmosphere, the hotel is just gorgeous during Christmas. Also, they did not have any of the usual antics on Christmas. I would say it was a good choice, we enjoyed it.

Thank you everyone...we have decided to stay with it for dinner AND...since we are doing resorts that day no park...we booked 1900 Park Fare for breakfast!We will be gluttons that day for sure...late breakfast, 11 am then dinner at 7..and whatever we feel like doing in between. We figure to eat at TS meals that we would like to take our time at on the non-park day, and do CS for the most part when we hit the parks commando style ( as usual) Getting excited now!
