Before Tyler went to his dad's last week, he had 2 loose teeth and he said he'd try not to wiggle them loose until he came back home since the tooth fairy doesn't visit his dad's house any more. That mysteriously stopped, with no explanation, when he was 9. I've convinced him she's just afraid of their dog. So.....he just called me to tell me one of the 2 teeth just came out while he was eating lunch and he's going to work on the other one! :goodvibes

I wonder if they do the tooth fairy for Tyler's sister? Maybe they just think Tyler is too old to do that anymore. I say while you have baby teeth coming out, you keep doing it.

Oh I was hoping that you both come and join in :rolleyes2
Fly to Barcelona is fine but San Juan, not sure which flight?

I hope you sort it out asap...

I wish we could do the transatlantic too Deb. But it's not going to happen. If John can't drive, he's not doing it. So sorry.

I'll be working on it today. :rolleyes1:rolleyes1:rolleyes1:rolleyes1

It HAS been a crazy weekend. I can't say I'm happy to be heading into the office tomorrow, but I have to get the kids out of my hair a little bit since (Olivia especially) has been in a crankster mood.

As I say every night... hoping for an early bedtime tonight!

Olivia is probably just tired. I hope it was an early bedtime night for you.

There are some days when she turns into a cranky senior citizen...

This is one of those days...

I never know when they are coming. And there is usually no reason for it.

It's not a side I like dealing with.

I think I'm going to go out for a while - just to give us some distance.

& I have to go look for a piece of fabric so I can make some cool ties for a friend of mine (a Friendie diser) who has just been treated for breast cancer and the meds they gave her have put her instantly into menopause (she's in her 30's...). I had some left over fabric from when I made them, but mom has hidden it somewhere and I can't find it. oh well.. not a good time to ask her.

Sorry Shell....hope today is better! :littleangel:

this :cat: is too cute. You can tell she's feeling more at home - she's starting to tear around all over the place & is trying to get to the highest point in every room.

She's a jumper, but not the most coordinated of cats. I've caught her 4 times now, before she fell. She's scared herself a few times too.

Funny story....when I took a shower for the first time, she cried like crazy. I felt so bad laughing, but it was funny. I have a stand alone shower, next to a soaking tub & more than half of the shower is brick, then the plastic. She stood on the side of the tub, with her front paws on the edge of the brick, making these sounds that tugged at my heart. Her mouth was wide open with every cry. She would then jump down & look at me through the shower door.

right now, she's sleeping next to me - on the stool I want her on :rotfl:, but she does spend some time on my lap during the day.

I'm off work at 830pm, then we'll go hang out in the living room.

I have a dentist appointment in the morning - it will be Freckles' 1st time left home alone. I'll let you know how the house survives :lmao:

She's getting fixed on 2/28. I'm taking the day off (drop off by 730am, pickup by 3pm). She'll have to wear a cone for 7-10 days.

I love hearing all the stories about her. How cute is she!! It's great having a little pal to hang out with, especially during the day at work. She's a great distraction.

Good Luck at the dentist. I hope Freckles is a good girl while you're gone.

When Ella got fixed they told me to make sure she lays down and is not active when I get her home. NOT ELLA!!! There was no way I could keep her quiet. She got up and moved around like normal. Thank goodness there were no complications and she was fine.

back from the dentist & it appears that the house survived. :rotfl2:

I have to have a root canal (scheduled for the same day that Freckles is getting fixed), then get a crown, have some deep cleanings & some fillings. Thank goodness it's over the next 6-8 months.

I have cracked the tooth that has been giving me pain (the one that needs the root canal). They gave me some Rxs to help with that.

I hope today is a better day for both of you.

She's better... she has been under the weather and didn't want to eat much yesterday... finally got some soup in her today... will work on dinner later...

Feel better... :flower3:

Glad the house survived while you were gone, but OUCH about the work you need to get done at the dentist.

I bet Freckles was happy to see you when you got back home.

Glad the QM is better now. Sorry she is not feeling very well. Hopefully she will get better fast and eat a little something.

YES Monica.....you feel better too.

Ginamarie, how did it go with the doctors today? I've been thinking of you.

I didn't get around to calling Medicare. I will have to do it tomorrow.

We had snow today and we were lazy. I caught up on my sleep. Nothing got packed. But John cooked Goolosh.

Tomorrow we'll get back on schedule again.

Can't sleep...

grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.............................

Come on... any of the British ladies out there to talk to???

Morning Marilyn... (and Deborah of course...) :flower3:

Sorry you couldn't sleep Michelle. I hope you're resting now.

Today we are being productive. John is still tackling the kitchen. I thought it was finished, but there were more things that he wanted to keep.....so it continues. I moved on to the bathroom. I've got it half way done. I'll work on some more tomorrow.

I decided to take chickie. My mother bought chickie for my baby cousin, Jeff, for Easter when he was just born about 30 years ago. I told my mom that chickie was so cute and why didn't she get me one? So mom got me a chickie too. Chickie has been sitting in all of my bathrooms ever since. I didn't know if I should take him or not. But I decided that he was coming with me. So chickie is packed.

I called Medicare this morning about my scripts. Ginamarie you are so right.....I called Medicare first, Medicare told me to call SHIP, SHIP told me to call Monroe County Benefits for the Aging, Monroe County told me I had to speak with an apprise counselor, the apprise counselor told me that they would call me back to make an appointment to come in and see them. SO NOTHING got done today!!! I'm waiting for a call to make an appointment. They can go over all my meds with me and advise me of what Medicare perscription program will work best for me. That's called Part D. It's like pulling teeth to get to the right person that can help you.

Deb... why aren't you getting part D along with your benefits? I know it will cost something, but you are eligible... I get mine that way...

I will be GETTING Part D benefits as soon as I figure out which company and plan is going to cover all my medications. I go over the annual allotment. Since there are many plans available and I'm a tough case, they need to figure it out with me. We have to go over all the meds that I take and find someone who is willing to cover the extra annual expense that I incurr. That's why I need an appointment with an apprise counselor at the county offices for the aging.

AND YES, that makes me feel REALLY old!!!

Michelle, this is all new to me because before John retired I only had medicare part A. I didn't pay for anything and I was covered under John's insurance for meds too. I paid $5 or $10 for each script. I take 9 meds everyday and a total of 16 meds as needed. I have to get them all covered and they do it individually for each medication. Then they will determine who will cover me best. Then I will pay for it.

I'm currently switched over to Part A and Part B now for medicare. And I have AARP supplemental insurance for a total out of pocket expense of about $200. I just need to get my meds covered now and add that charge too.

Deb,

Every year I research Med D for my mom. It's pretty easy.

We have changed plans almost every year as drugs go generic and costs change.

Just go to this site and follow the steps. :thumbsup2

Regarding the VA for John. My dad uses the VA. It was great until he started needing specialized treatment. Then it wasn't so great. I would recommend John get the Med Part D as well, if he has any special meds. Dad had a medication the VA couldn't get. It cost dad $1000 out of pocket. So now he has a Med D plan as well.
