Have fun and hope you feel better real soon. You'll get to lay down early tonight then when Tyler falls asleep. Till then, Enjoy!!!

Head finally feels fine. At some point after sledding, after a quick lunch, and before his planned visit with a neighbor, he asked if we could go to Target so he could use some gift cards for a couple Legos sets he's had his eye on. Ugghhhh......so I rushed him to Target, he came home and put one together before his play date with the neighbor, then home to do more Legos before his dad picked him up. He didn't want to go with dad, so a major meltdown happened, which he claimed was triggered by needing a bag to put the Legos in (but he told me he just didn't want to go and hates going over there). Dad showed up mid meltdown and rushed him off, so we didn't get to say goodbye because he was so worked up. Fortunately, he won't remember any of that part in a couple days. Poor kid.

Holly.. have you worn Tyler out yet?

The kids gonna need a school vacation to get over this weekend... :rotfl:

Don't blame me, LOL! He's the one who gets bored if we slow down. ;) He wears ME out! :lmao:

Holly- saw the monster truck pictures on Facebook. Tyler looked so excited!

We were slammed with snow. A plow came down our street late on Saturday, but did a terrible job and nothing was sanded. My minivan only has front wheel drive, so it got stuck twice trying to get it out of the driveway. So I'm staying at moms house tonight- she got about a foot less snow even though she's only 8 miles from my house. Kids have delayed opening tomorrow because we are supposed to get more freezing rain, and Sal's preschool is cancelled so he will be bummed out.

Mom and I are going to see a cancer specialist tomorrow because I'm hoping he will have more insight on how to remove the tumor in my pelvis. I've seen two surgeons already and both said the tumor needs to come out by the surgery is too complicated for them. So we are heading into NYC.

Hoping for some good cruise news tomorrow- otherwise its too stressful!

Hi Ginamarie! Yes, he so looks forward to the monster trucks every year. This is the first year he didn't want a break from the noise. We usually have to go out a few times and get a little quiet. He did have a lot of anxiety before it started, freaking out a bit wondering when he should put his ear protection on. We got through it though. I assured him that when he sees the drivers climb into their trucks, that would be a good time. ;)

Sorry about your crazy snow. Holy cow!

I really hope you have an answer soon re the tumor removal. Fingers crossed that the next doctor can come up with a plan to get the ball rolling. HUGE hugs!!!:hug::hug::hug::hug:

Really bummed at the lack of itineraries! I was really hoping we would hear something today.

soon... I imagine... Maybe disney is trying to throw us off course...lolol

Ginamarie...

Good luck with the Dr. in NYC.. if you don't get results there... try heading to Johns Hopkins or Brighams Women's in Boston... both are teaching hospitals are they are usually the best on what's new in medical treatments...

Thanks everyone! I had a hopeful appointment. This surgeon says he will remove the tumor but needs it to be a combined effort with the colon surgeon. So I will be back in NYC on Wednesday to see the head colon surgeon. The downside is that I may need a temporary colostomy bag, which is a scary thought, but I guess if that's te only way to get this done, I'll go with the flow. I'll see what input the colon guy has on Wednesday.

I'm
Suspicious that DCL delayed its announcement on 2014 itineraries because of the news of a Carnival ship being stranded at sea after an engine fire. It's the kind of thing that's bad press for the whole cruise industry even though all of those people will be just fine!

Well... we'll send lots and lots of good vibes your way... :grouphug::grouphug:

& I think you might be right... along with the other accident in the Canary Islands with the British ship... tough week in the cruise industry...

Hi Albert. How are you? Say hello to Ann. Hope you're both fine. Hope you can both make it to the reunion cruise in 2014. Not sure yet where or when it's going to be. We're still in the early stages of planning.

Hi Deb, we're all fine.

Haven't had all the extremes of weather you all seem to be suffering this winter, it's just a typical dull, grey wet January with occasional snow. Perfect weather for hibernating or reminiscing over old cruise pics.

Hope we do a cruise in 2014, but will not be 3/4 day. Still waiting to see what DCL comes up with.

Rumor has it that DCL will make announcement for rest of 2014 at 1045am EST. Fingers crossed!

GM - so sorry for what you're going through! Hope the colon doctor is on board, so that you can get that tumor taken care of. Prayers for you :grouphug::grouphug:

For those of you on FB - I'm sure you read my news :goodvibes

I am becoming a mom...to a furry 10 month old baby. A female kitten named Freckles. She's all black with a white spot on her chest. My friend Meghan has had her since birth (owned her mom) and would love to keep her, but 1 of her sisters just passed away, and Meghan now has 4 boys (8,5,5,3) to care for (she had 1 5 yo herself). Her husband told her that the cat had to go. Too many mouths to feed now.

I'll go pick her up tomorrow after work.

Mon, where is the best place to look for the news? and if they do make an announcement, be on the look out for an email from me.;)
