sorry you have rain Deborah....hope you get your new straighteners sorted!:thumbsup2

Holly, it sounds very positive about Tyler, good luck!

I'm joining in about the weight loss and things. Last year DH and I decided we really needed to kick start a healthier life style and took up the gym and eating more healthily. We've lost over 35 lbs each since last November and are still going. It's very slow but steady. I've always had a problem with diets but am trying very hard this time. I may need lots of encouragement!:rolleyes1

Good to hear that there are others doing well too, Deb, Jackie and others....:dance3:

My workmate was telling me that hair straighener from Argos of Nicky Clark only 20.00 pounds and it is very good so my local area argos was out of stock. I want buy GHB but over 100 pounds :sad2:

I wait until tomorrow.

Wow, lost over 35lbs,that is good.

same with me, my diet always yo yo up and down:scared1:

I should stay strict diet next time:idea:

Ian, I'm glad you had an easy fast. Thanks for the info to help us understand. My only question is why do you atone after the New Year? I would think that you would want to atone first and then celebrate the New Year after......just my own personal logic.

New Year (Rosh Hashanah) is the beginning of the 10-days of repentance. Yom Kippur (the day of attonement) is the last day of that 10 day period.

It is believed that judgment begins on Rosh Hashanah, and at the end of Yom Kippur, one's fate for the coming year is sealed. So, Yom Kippur is the last ditch effort during the period of repentence to atone.

It's noteworthy G-d does not forgive wrongs made to others. One must ask the people one has wronged for forgiveness. G-d can only forgive wrongs made to G-d.

That's a shame, but it is a large amount of money when you add on air fares, excursions, drinks etc. Perhaps save up for 2011 and the new ship.

Hi Angie :flower3:

Deborah, don't worry about your hair, you are allready beautiful :goodvibes

Having a slug of a day. Paul is in LA for a race with a client. He has made some good progress on that end of his business. He is hoping to get his driver a ride with this trip. That's good for us as he will get a % of the deal. Fingers Crossed :wizard:

Thanks Angie... can use all the hugs I can get until he comes home...

I don't know if PJ is considering but she did check a couple of airfare options. She might be convinced though if we offer her our couch. :thumbsup2

Oh... twist her arm a little!!! I hear she is a GREAT roomie!!!

Are you packed yet? Don't forget the salsa:goodvibes or you can make it here.:thumbsup2

& don't drop it this time!!! :lmao:

OK now it's perfectly clear and makes a lot more sense. Thanks for that. I think it's also very fascinating. I like the idea that one's fate for the coming year is sealed and Yom Kippur is the last ditch effort to atone. It gives one hope for the New Year that you can atone and change your fate.

As opposed to the rest of us who make it up as we go along???
