Good Morning Holly. Any plans for after church today?

No church today because we're going to the Dinsaur Dash at MSU: http://museum.msu.edu/Events/DinosaurDash/. This will be Tyler's 3rd year doing it, 3rd tshirt, 3rd medal. They have great activities before and after, then we go through the teeny tiny natural history museum there on campus. This will be the coldest year yet for it (out of the 3 we've gone to). Tyler's eating breakfast and we're leaving as soon as I take a shower.

Then we'll come home and finish putting up the Halloween decorations we started yesterday, and have pumpkin pie.

I, on the otherhand, just returned from vacation and gained back the 3lbs I lost before going plus 1 more lb. for a total of 4 lbs. Not too bad for 10 days off diet. I will stick with it again starting Monday.

Hi Tammy......those of us who don't live in the warm climates have to pack the summer stuff away anyhow....why not pack it into a suitcase and be on the ready for another adventure.

Well, I am supposed to go to WDW for fall break Oct. 9-14 with my brother and the kids. However, he is starting to say that he is not going. AND, I am a little worried about going with just the kids because my brother keeps my son entertained when he gets bored and antsy while I drive around WDW and get us from point a to point b. So, if he doesnt' go, I will probably cancel. I will be out some money for the hotel because I rented a timeshare from a lady and it is non-refundable, but I could cancel the Southwest Flights and get a refund in ticketless travel funds. I think.

Well, I am supposed to go to WDW for fall break Oct. 9-14 with my brother and the kids. However, he is starting to say that he is not going. What a party pooper.....tell your brother that he HAS to go......it's the happiest place on earth! What about your brother's kids??? How will they feel if they get their trip cancelled......and after you laid out all that money......it's just not fair. Isn't there some way that you can get your brother to change his mind. Ask him to do it for you and for all the kids.

While Tyler brushes his teeth so we can head out, one funny thing from yesterday. When I picked him up from his dad's early morning, after we got in the car, Tyler said, "MOM! I love your hair! It glows red when the sun shines on it and makes you look just like the movie star from Gilligan's Island!"

Hello Everybody

My husand and I had a good times last night at Glasgow.

My brother's girlfriend won the British Darts Competition last night.

I took my camera but they told me not allowed, oh well.

We left at 10 pm as the darts competition had not finish yet so I got text that she WON the final. She never won for 12 years.

Today I am tidying up my daughter's bedroom and workout which clothes for holiday soon.

I have thrown out piles of clothes which are too small for her. But we think we have a car boot next Sunday to rid of stuff, clothing etc.

So I am back ironing now and tidy up (Keith's clothing - easy packing than Olivia's clothing)!!

I leave my clothing until near the times.

Today is Sunny still cold.

Hi Deb - easy to do packing after holiday but Kids grown up so some clothes are too small already.

But myself I should do that after holiday, I might do that.

I understand you can't pack the kids off season clothes because they grow out of them so quickly. But you can certainly do it for you and Ian.

I am very exctied about the mountain. We are going to Cade's Cove and I have never been before. I will take my camera tommrow and post pics.

Work was not near as bad as I thought it would be. They apologized and said everything was fixed now. Also I get to work overnight Nov1&2 to set up the christmas stuff. I am sooo excited and so are they as everyone dreads those nights except me, I get super exctied. So all is well for now and I was bouncing around singging I leave for vacation in 14 DAYS.

Glad things got straightened out at work! I'd love to come help with your overnight assignment. Love decorating for Christmas! This year I'm going to let everyone at work know I'm available (for HIRE) for gift wrapping.

While flipping channels yesterday I saw on QVC a kit for giftwrapping that included a mess of boxes and pre cut/pre creased/pre taped wrapping paper! Very cut paper and a great idea for those who are gift wrapped challenged.

Yep, I'm sure folks are looking at every extra penny they spend. I have concerns about the cost of my program (it's that shipping charge that is putting me over the edge), but I'm looking at it as an investment in my health. If I were having to take regular meds for blood pressure or something like that, I wouldn't be considering stopping that! (PLUS, one hour of overtiime each week covers the shipping cost.)

Hey, I don't have any kids.....John does, but his kids are adults and his grandkids are teens.....now living in Florida. So when we go to WDW it's just for us!

It sounds like your brother may be torn between you and your mother. He may decide to do nothing so as not to offend either one of you. You're right it's not the end of the world, but it's a committment that he made to you and it's inconsiderate to waste your money. Then again, he's your brother so all is forgiven.

The Hawaii cruise for Christmas sounds devine!!!! Who are you travelling with? What cruise line? Where do you embark/debark? What are the ports of call? Can you adopt me so that I can go with you???

Hopefully, your brother will do the right thing. Maybe you should go without him???

No doubt that BistroMD is expensive. The price just went up too. The shipping on top of the price for food makes it VERY expensive. It's especially difficult for me since I have added Ray's expenses to my budget. But I figure that I would have spent it anyway on cigarettes if I was still smoking so I can't argue spending it on healthy food and starting to lose weight again. We just make it work. We'll cut back somewhere else. It's a matter of priorities.

I just don't know about you and your car juju. I think we need to do a psychic cleansing!

I bought about 37,000 additional warranties with the Smart Car. One of them was road hazard, primarily because it has such non-standard tires and I assumed having tires replaced at a Mercedes dealer might run a tad expensive.

My new car gadget is an electronic tire pressure gauge. My biggest problem with mechanical gauges is I can't read them. I never have been able to read them. This one allowed me to store the pressure for the front and rear wheels and has a HUGE electronic display. A plus was also that it was quite cheap.

Did you ever manage to make it to Costco? Inquiring minds want to know, nay, need to know!

I don't remember being offered a road hazard warrenty ...of course I can buy one NOW (they so generously offered! ) I probably will get it because this is something that happens often around here.

Yes, I made it to Costco! In fact that's where I was when the tire pressure light came on. I'd just finished loading the goods in my car and was heading home. Costco is less than a mile from my house, so whenever I'm going to Sedona for a family event, I can count on getting Costco orders from my sister and/or her daughter! I probably would have blown off the trip over there since I was getting such a late start, but I had all their stuff in my car, including a big bag of snap peas and a big carton of cherry tomatoes!

Where did you find your tire pressure gauge? It sounds like something I could use!

Wow, you sure are busy! Glad you didn't try to make the drive with that tire, bummer you were so late, but it's more important that you were safe.

If it hadn't been for that light, I never would have known I had a nail in my tire. I couldn't tell anything was amiss from the way the car was driving. I would have just headed off on this long road trip and who knows WHAT would have happened! I really am thankful that I found out about it before I started driving 75 mph on the freeway!

Glad you're safe and sound Cheri......at least you got the loaner and you didn't get stuck on the road. It could have been a lot worse.
