Gaylean - your MIL is whacked for saying Ethan stinks! Her brain needs a filter to clean things up before they come out of her mouth.

So, just got home from work at scouts (which Tyler's dad DID NOT bring him to ), and of course haven't had supper yet. Will eat and then catch up with you all.

That's maddening! Did he forget that you were meeting them there? Was he punishing Tyler for the incident at school or is this just an indication that he won't follow through with taking Tyler to scouts?

UGH! Tonight I went to the parents meeting for CYO basketball. They scheduled the 5th grade girls to practice at the same time as Faith Formation! Thats ridiculous. The coach said they'll try to change it but otherwise tay can't play. Along with a bunch of other girls at that time. Keep your fingers crossed!

Hope everyone elses day/night was good.

Hopefully things work out so Taylor can play basketball and do Faith Formation. What is Faith Formation?

We can just see the top of Mount Teide from the balcony of our apartment. I think of you when I see it!!! You must be getting excited about your hol to have a stressful dream like that!!! I will meet you there if you like though!

Oh, he's fine at home. These things only happen at school (or day care when he was in day care). He kept asking me to play but I had to keep reminding him that he wasn't home for a fun day with mom, and he had to do schoolwork and work on cleaning his room.

I didn't feel up to posting yesterday and just hung out on the couch with my ice cream.

I broke down this morning and turned the heat on for a few minutes, apparently 61 degrees is my limit, couldn't stop shivering long enough to get the coffee on, and I must have my coffee in the morning! Hope everyone has a great day. I'm off to work, then I'm meeting my SIL for dinner at a Mexican restaurant, new place, I haven't tried it before. Bye for now.

Nothing happening right now on the job search. Haven't found anymore jobs worth applying for. Next spring, I'll lower my standards. Its a frustrating process, because I want a change, but its scary to walk away from a good paycheque with good benefits and start over again. I'm still in my first career job that I started fresh out of university 12 years ago. The only other jobs I've ever had were the part-time waitress/sales clerks jobs back in highschool and college. I'm still aiming to get out of this job by the end of 2009. I want this winter to be the last one of Ken commuting.

Leaving a long time job can be very scary because it becomes so much a part of one's regular routine and life.

Good morning all carbon based life forms (and Nan).

I have been under the weather lately. A cold started coming on a couple of days ago and now I have a cough and a sore throat.

Work was stressful and completely draining yesterday. I arrived home exhausted and collapsed.

Work was a horror yesterday, it was like walking into a tornado. To top it off, my bosses boss wanted a banner put on the Intranet site announcing that today, Friday, was to be a baseball jersey and jeans day. I told him that I would do it during my lunch. He said he wanted it up in the morning.

I am a one man graphics shop and web master, in addition to my real job which is managing software testing and system changes.

So, with 500 unread emails, and a crisis regarding software testing, I was sitting at my desk making pretty pictures. Needless to say, that only added to the stress.

By the afternoon, I felt like I had razor blades in my throat, a tension/stress headache and was popping ibuprofen.

I also had to catch a later train. I walked in and all I wanted to do was have dinner and go to sleep.

I did not watch the debates last night because one of the vice presidential candidates drives me crazy. One of the vice presidential candidates has said that not only do they not believe in an domestic partner benefits for couples like us, but believes that any gained should be taken away.

So, rather than put my foot through the screen, I watched Upstairs Downstairs in the basement.
