We're back at the hotel again. We had a leisurely day today. We took our time getting out the door and went to lunch first. I had two blackberry crepes at Ihop and they were soooooooooo good. Then we went to Downtown Disney and checked out the Pin Trading and The Art of Disney stores. We moved over to the World of Disney store which is a favorite. I bought ponytail hair accessories that have mickey heads on the ends......I LOVE those.....and I also bought a pink Tink tee shirt where Tink says, "I'm perfect!" It made me laugh because it's so Tinker Bell.

That was all we did. We came back to the suite afterwards and we're just relaxing. I'll be elevating my legs soon.

I talked to Connie before we left for the day. We're on for lunch tomorrow. We're trying to pick a hotel on property that we would like to go to. Connie will get back to me with a time and place.

We'll have some spare time tomorrow after lunch and before dinner. So we're going to rent a watercraft and go boating. We both love that and it should be fun. Then we'll have to pack because it's our last day, we check out on Thursday.

We were saying today how this vacation has been so relaxing yet filled with social and fun events......just enough, but not too much. Unlike our three weeks in May where we were on the go constantly without any down time.

Even though I couldn't swim or go to the water parks, I really did enjoy this time away. I think we both needed it badly and it really did refresh us.

Glad this has been a good trip for you.....have fun at lunch (tell Connie I said "HI"), have fun boating, & I'll see you for dinner :goodvibes

Busy day at work again, even with 3 of us trying to catch up to the Energizer Bunny. I love being really busy at work because the day is over before I even realize it. :thumbsup2

Funny thing. A coworker told me she ran into the office manager in the bathroom, and the office manager asked my friend, "Is Holly staying? I heard a rumor that she is, is it true?" When my friend told her yes, she said, "I had no idea!" :rotfl2: Before the one lawyer gave me the OK to stay, he had a meeting with her and another partner to discuss it, so of course she knew. Good grief, she's nutty! :rotfl:

Picked Tyler up from school, his teacher ordered popcorn, then we had to stop at the bank, go pay a bill, stop at a store, then headed out to see the Extreme Makeover home. Since it was just before 5pm, and most people were still at work, there were only a handful of people in line ahead of us, so we only had a few minutes wait for the bus to return and take our load. We stayed at the spectator area close to an hour just watching! It was SO cool to see so many hard hat people all scurrying around like little worker bees.

The house is two-tone, part is a very pretty sea green color and the other color is sort of a dark tan (I'm not good with colors, but it looked great) and is definitely one of the smaller houses they've done. I didn't see the house before, but if it looked anything like the surrounding houses, YUCK.

The columns on each side of the small front porch will be covered in fake stone. I never realized they use fake stuff, but I watched it being staple gunned onto the plywood that they used to make the square shaped columns. So I guess they wouldn't be called columns, would they? Because they're square and not round. Forgive me, I don't know the right terms for house stuff. Anyway, we watched one "column" get almost completely made, including most of the fake stone attached! These guys are so fast!

There's MAJOR stuff going on in the backyard but we couldn't see back there.

The family is called the Nickless family and it's a widow mom with 3 kids. One of the kids is named Andrew, because the mom standing next to us asked her son, "Do you remember what Andrew's house used to look like? Your friend is going to be SO surprised to see the new house!" I asked her a bit about the family and she said the house was 2 bedrooms (maybe 3, but she thinks 2) and very tiny for a family of 4 and over 150 years old. The reveal is this Friday at 2pm.

I learned that Ty won't be back to Lansing until Thursday. But as we watched, MICHAEL showed up for some filming! I suspect he's definitely not from Michigan because although it was chilly, we didn't even need jackets, but Michael had a long black coat with a black & white striped scarf around his neck and white gloves. Good grief. We were close enough to hear what he was saying for the cameras, and it was hilarious to watch him start waving his hands around while describing what they're doing and to watch the whole camera crew RUNNING after him and around him, etc. :goodvibes I'm sure many of you CA folks have seen plenty of shows filmed, but I've never seen it before, so it was very entertaining!

As we left, I asked a worker if she knows if they need more volunteers for the rest of the week and she says they don't. She told me their website had over 2000 people sign up to volunteer, so they had to shut it down. Wow! I wish I'd know about it and where to sign up. It would have been so cool to be a part of this.

So that's our excitement for the day. I have no idea what time Ty will be there on Thursday, but I'm going again after work because maybe I'll get to watch the furniture get moved in.

REALLY COOL!! Thanks for sharing. Glad you got to go and watch - I think it would be neat to watch too.

Yeah, I'm still up. I had to watch the 10:00 news to see if they said anything about the house. They had one of the sons there watching the house being built and he was talking about how he wishes his dad could have seen this happen, but that since his dad's spent so many years as a nurse helping others, maybe it's just people returning the help. It was surprising to see him there at the site because I thought the family was supposed to be on vacation while the house is built. His grandma was there too.

There's a place here in Lansing called Ele's Place, it's a place for grieving kids to go (if they've lost a parent or family member or anybody) for free counseling and support. http://www.elesplace.org/ Very great place that hasn't been around very long. The news guy today said that Paige and Michael went there today, since the kids of this family spent so much time there, and are doing a special project with Ele's Place. A special room that we can't see until the show airs in November. :goodvibes It will be nice to see such a wonderful place get tv exposure.

I love it when they do projects that help out the community as well as the family. Ele's Place seems like a fitting cause.

The son is probably there cuz he probably doesn't live in that house anymore?? :confused3 Is he old enough to live on his own?

I did something last night that I haven't done in YEARS......get your minds out of the gutter people! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: I colored my hair. I wanted brown w/ reddish tint....got red. That's ok - I used to be a red head when I colored my hair last time :rotfl: Had to cover up those grays :rotfl2:

Ended up getting confirmed in a studio at the Vero Beach Resort for 11/22-11/29. I don't believe any of them are ocean view, but I should be able to sit somewhere and just stare at the ocean :goodvibes

Should I try for a whole page just w/ ME on it??? :rotfl:

I forgot to tell you guys!!

I bought the garbage disposal!! (FINALLY, I know). It's now in the house - now we'll see how long it takes me to replace the old one :rotfl2:
