Goodnight everybody! This time I'm really going to bed earlier because I was so tired, I had trouble having coherent conversations.

The first 8 years, Don and I stayed at the same hotel as our wedding night every year on our anniversary.....then we fell out of that habit. If you ever get to WV, I highly recommend it. My anniversary (21 years) is this Saturday. I will not even be here...I am going to SC to take my mom to prepare for the wedding the weekend following.

Since John and I just did 18 years.....and seeing where you spent your wedding night.....it got me thinking about mine and my honeymoon. We stayed in the condos in Montauk on the ocean at the east end of Long Island. It's home to both of us. We have only gone back once since we were married. I would like to go back more often. I love it there.

I can't do massages because it hurts too much, but John loves them. He always gets a hot stone massage on the boat.....then doesn't even think about getting one when he's off the boat. We'll have to fix that.

Yeah, I'm still up. I had to watch the 10:00 news to see if they said anything about the house. They had one of the sons there watching the house being built and he was talking about how he wishes his dad could have seen this happen, but that since his dad's spent so many years as a nurse helping others, maybe it's just people returning the help. It was surprising to see him there at the site because I thought the family was supposed to be on vacation while the house is built. His grandma was there too.

There's a place here in Lansing called Ele's Place, it's a place for grieving kids to go (if they've lost a parent or family member or anybody) for free counseling and support. http://www.elesplace.org/ Very great place that hasn't been around very long. The news guy today said that Paige and Michael went there today, since the kids of this family spent so much time there, and are doing a special project with Ele's Place. A special room that we can't see until the show airs in November. It will be nice to see such a wonderful place get tv exposure.

Something funny. There was a substitute teacher today for music class. At Tyler's school, they call them "guest teachers" instead of substitutes. After school he told me he made a joke. When the teacher introduced himself, he told the class he's a sub. Tyler told me he raised his hand and then asked "If you're a sub, does that mean we get to eat you?" My first thought was Oh no, he probably got in trouble for being a smart a$$! But Tyler assured me the teacher laughed about it. Silly kid.

OK, this time I'm REALLY headed to bed!

I wish we could see Wishes but it would be too much trouble with my dad. However I am going to make a rice crispy treat at DTD with Chocolate, Caramel, and resses. YUMYUM.

Just popping in to say "hi". I got back from Scottsdale yesterday. It was lots of fun, but I was exhausted! No down time, we played lots of games, baked a pumpkin pie from a real pumpkin (our fall tradition for the past few years), watched the movie Zathura about 4-5 times, swam, watched Mythbusters, walked the dog, and...I got to try out a Wii for the first time! Very fun, I can see why everyone likes it so much! I wasn't too bad at bowling, but sucked at tennis.

It was way too hot for me, it's still in the high 90s-100 range down there. I'm so glad to be back home where it feels like fall.

Just read the last few posts and can see I have some catching up to do...

"too many butts in a row".... There's got to be a story there!

Morning all. Just a quick skim. Great photos Deb and Bubba. Thanks for posting. Sorry to those of you with problems with children. Love and to you all.

Enjoying our lazy life still. Played crazy golf this morning while waiting for the apartment to be cleaned. Supposed to rain today which is surprising the locals as the raini season doesn't start till the end of November. Then, it is only a few inches a month for 3 months!

Did I mention that there IS someone here on the boards with a sign on name of Tinks Butt???? True... She even made it on the podcast...

I have a funny story about my mom. She called me 5 times today at home one time on my cell, Paul 2 times on his cell and my sister 3 times total of 11 calls to us today to find out when she would get her braclet back from the shop. I talked with her 3 times, my sister 2 times and she didn't remember any of our phone calls. So sad that she isn't retaining things

That is so sad Nan. Sorry you are dealing with this. Don't feel bad about having a laugh - you need that.

I just want to go back to May 10th myself.

It is our 40th next year!!! We met 41 years ago last June!!! You can do it!!!

Nice that you have friends going the same time as you. Good to have seperate hols and just meet up rather than spend too long together and fall out!!
