I'm a warehouse snob. I prefer Costco to Sam's Club, but then again I refuse to give any money at all to anything associated with Wal-Mart.
My great-uncle in Miami says exactly the same thing.

Maybe they will let you use your lunch hour for appointments.

Instead of being in a nearby restaurant from 12 to 1 you are in the car, at the MD and eating in the car from--oh, say 2 to 3 since you have already worked through the 12-1 "lunch" period? :confused3:

Jan :::yes::
Will have to ask after I start there. I almost never go out for lunch, usually bring a sandwich from home, so that's easy to eat in the car on the way to or from an appointment.

Hmmm....

Looks like I am caught up !?! It only took time in a hotel room while Tom was at a 2 1/2 day conference. :lmao:

HOLLY--Did anyone tell the Perfume Queen to wash it off?

At his Branson show Andy Williams said:
"You know how they say 'What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas' ?
"Well, what happens in Branson is stuff you can talk about and take your children to see!"

We applauded. I love family-friendly venues. :goodvibes:

Jan ::yes::
I don't know. One of the other migraine sufferers sent an email to the office manager telling her that whoever's wearing the perfume needs to not do that again because it's making her throat constrict and her allergies go crazy and she can't breathe. Then when one of the lawyers heard her coughing and gagging, he asked her what's wrong, and she said, "The new girl's wearing a whole bottle of perfume and I can't breathe". Then shortly after that, the office manager called perfume girl into her office for a few minutes. I have no way of knowing what was said, but the rest of us are hoping for the best. I'll let you know tomorrow! :goodvibes

Bonjour from Paris. Yesterday we went to Disneyland Paris, and got annual passes so we will go back once or twice next week.

Woody
HI WOODY! What a great trip you & Mrs. Woody are having! Sounds like a trip of a lifetime! Thanks for popping in. Wonder where you'll go next? :goodvibes How exciting!

Holly, since you are the one leaving, and won't have to face her again, you should let her know about this. Sometimes when folks wear a scent for a long time the become acustomed to it and end up putting it on more liberaly so that THEY can smell it. You co-workers will appreciate it!

.
Oh, I already told my other co-workers that if the office manager didn't talk to her today and she still has so much perfume on tomorrow, I'll definitely say something, in a very tactful way. I'm sure it would smell very nice with much less on. :thumbsup2 I've worn the same perfume since 1999 or 2000 and I still only put on 2 little dabs just for that reason.

PS: Cheri--to make smilies with a phone, you have to know the letter and colon combinations and type them in. Then read what you wrote to be sure you got ::yes:: instead of ;;yes;;

Then, if you have a Blackberry, you scroll through the message you quoted until little black dotted lines outline the blue arrow box beside the name of your quotee and then hit the "magic button that makes things happen" and poof, that original post appears. You can continue reading there and have not missed any posts.

Thanks! I don't have a Blackberry, I have a Dare, which is a touch-screen, kind of like an iPhone (Verizon's version). I'll try the smilie thing next time.

good luck, we are deep into our sales here. Wilson is trying to reach the $2500 goal to get the Boy Scout college scholarship. Prior years he sold $1700 & $1300. What we didn't know is once you sell $2500 in one year every year thereafter any amount you sell will add to your scholarship fund. :thumbsup2

Wow! That's a really nice benefit! I had no idea.

Monica ... Fear not!

I know that there the topic of who is and who is not a valid princess can cause a conundrum.

Therefore, to help avoid potential awkward moments, might you in Disney World, or on a cruise, find yourself face to face with such a person, I've made this handy print and cut out wallet reference card for you:

princess_pocket_guide.gif

Simply cut this out and carry it on your person at all times.

You will avoid many a potential socially fatal faux pas.

I love the way those words just *roll* off the tongue!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Yeah, um, I'm almost 40, so if I stay up all night, I'll fall asleep driving to work for sure! I almost fell asleep driving to pick Tyler up after school today. Last time I stayed up all night, I'm pretty sure I was in my 20s. TOO long ago for me to remember! :rotfl2:

GOODNIGHT! Happy chatting! :yay:

NO, NO, NO!!! NO FALLING ASLEEP WHILE DRIVING!!!
:scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Molly likes that chocolate covered popcorn but it make me

I'm a carmel corn girl...and I have tins of the stuff in my car :scared1: I might just have to go out and buy one of them and then hide it from Wilson and Paul :lmao:

Nan, have you ever gotten the caramel corn in Downtown Disney, just down from the Monorail station? It's sold from an outdoor wagon--yummy!!

Good Morning

I feel like Screaming now

Few weeks ago Disneypilots from EB was looking for picture exchange of Don Williamsons signed with the WB Picture.

I offered him that I have two of it so I send it away with the roll box.

then he emailed and said that the roll box had been damaged by delivery.

The post box arrived here today. It has been folded over, and the print is folded and creased.

He will send it back to me, but it is no longer suitable for framing.

I am bit annoying with it now and never thought that they will folded over.

Trouble is I didn't insured it.

Feel very disappointed and he will send it back to me without his picture.:headache:

Oh Deborah, what a shame!:headache:

Yesterday was a bit of a stressfull day - my sister had a long chat w/ me Monday night about our parents....their financial & health picture, and what we can come up w/ for their future. She said that Dad may end up not doing anything about the prostate cancer (for better quality of live), and Mom is going down hill (based on observations she & David made when they were in Argentina this summer) both mentally & physically. I told her that I will give her my thoughts after I see them in November (45 days before I leave).

So - she said that she & David have been talking about adding an addition (like an in-law suite with kitchenette) to their house. Also was talking about a retirement center (with more options like assisted living if they need it later on).....

I need to remind her that the house next door to me is still for sale :rotfl2:

The hard thing about thinking about this is that my parents have a life down in Buenos Aires - they have friends, family & things to do. They also don't have to drive cuz there is a great transportation system there.

Ok - babble over for now..:flower3:

Thanks Holly. I'll post pictures for everyone to see. I'm meeting Monica, Lisa and Darrell and Connie. I'm sure I will have a great time with all of them.

Have a great trip! Looking forward to seeing your pictures!

Hi Deb...

Yes... I did... Enough said...

(yeah sure Michelle... PM everybody details...)

Sorry ladies... can't do that right now...

Have to take mom back to the Drs...

We came down for what we thought was a regular check up, but Mom has been experiencing dizziness lately so they have scheduled a slew of tests over the next 2 days...

We hope that it all works out... Keep your fingers crossed... :flower3: :flower3: :flower3:

 to you and your mom!

So here's the bad news of today. Tyler was suspended AGAIN for the afternoon. And it's worse. The principal called me to tell me that this time, the in-school suspension isn't working because he kept running away, out of the office and down the halls, and he's too aggressive and she wanted him picked up so that nobody gets hurt and so no more property would get destroyed. :headache:

She told me he seems to be at the point of completely unraveling. She thinks he's just so angry and frustrated with all this stuff going on with him and he just doesn't know how to change it or how to deal with it all. She told me to just give him a break from learning for the rest of the day and take him someplace where he can unwind. He was horrified when he saw me arrive at the school. He told me "you're going to kill me". The worst part for him was that he had to miss out on a special reward for the whole class this afternoon. His teacher has what she calls a "gem jar" on her desk. Every time the class does what she asks or does things the right way or anything good, she drops a "gem" in the jar and told them when it was full they'd get a class surprise. They filled it recently and today was the day for the reward. She was bringing popsicles for the whole class. :sad1:

Anyway, I'm about at the end of my rope and about to break down myself. I told our office manager I had to leave and told her why, apologizing majorly. She told me "You know you never have to apologize when you have to leave for Tyler" and she asked what's going to happen when this happens at the new job. That's too scary to think about.

NO, NO, NO!!! NO FALLING ASLEEP WHILE DRIVING!!!
:scared1: :scared1: :scared1:
Cheri, I was definitely thinking of you when I typed that! No, I don't want that to happen to me! It was alarming enough that I was falling asleep while walking through the museum today.

Holly -

Tell Cheri that she needs to stop jet setting around and go to Lansing & home school Tyler.

Absolutely....fingers crossed for your mom.

And I want details too of last night! Well, not too many, if you know what I mean. ;) :rotfl2:

Will keep the pixie dust flowing for mom.....we know how special she is!!!!

Hope it all works out well and that they find something minor that they can fix.

Glad the wait was worth it for you!

Ditto on all counts :rotfl:  :flower3:

Thanks everyone...

We did one of the tests today and the MRI/MRA is tomorrow morning... hopefully they will find nothing wrong... I think it may have to do with her ears... We flew a couple of weeks ago and her ears never really cleared after... so I'm hoping its something simple... (I've already got her thinking about Europe in 2010)

Thanks Deborah. I'm just worried about this happening at my new job. I won't be able to just leave work, they've already made it clear that they're such a small office, they count on everybody being there all the time. :scared: I had stopped looking for jobs just for this reason, but I thought I wouldn't be called any more to leave work to pick him up. I thought since they were doing in-school suspension, they'd keep doing that, especially since I thought things would keep improving for him. Now I don't know what to think or do anymore.
