JUst a quick post from me to say I might be seeing some of you again in 2010!!!

I'm leaning towards the April repo cruise. Mom wants to do the June 12 Baltic, but I dont think we can afford it. The Baltic prices are through the roof!!!

Hi Ginamarie, if you sail the April repo....you'll be doing it with Ian and Sukie. If you do the Baltic.....you'll be doing it with Monica, Lisa and Darrell and Gydell......so far. This one seems popular, despite it's expense.
:cheer2:

I love the thread that was started about the prices of the cruises...

Is Disney smoking crack or what???

I just PM'ed Angie and this is what she said...

Howdy! We have been very busy moving and settling in. Just this past week have we begun to feel retired. We also have only very spotty internet here. Tomorrow ours will be hooked up, so far we have been "borrowing" from the RV park nearby when the winds, clouds, etc are right. We were booked on the EB transatlantic last time they went to the Med, then canceled because airfare was outrageous and the restrictions on luggage moving around Europe (would have HAD to include a trip to DL Paris) was confusing and frustrating. When the canal cruise opened we canceled because the planning was just not fun. Not sure we want to even consider that again. The cruises in Europe are too rich for our blood, so a transatlantic would be the only option, if any.

Michelle, thank you so much for sharing that with us. I really miss Angie and Dennis and so many others. That made me feel better because I know where they are and what's going on. I'm happy that they're feeling retired now.

I will miss sailing with them in 2010 because I will definitely not be doing the transatlantic. Sad:sad2:

And most likely me and Tyler, depending on whether my TA did indeed list the price incorrectly. There was a whole list of prices for many cruises. :thumbsup2

Hi Holly......sorry I didn't add you and Tyler. Now that one is starting to be the popular one. At least we have some of our family together on each different cruise. We'll all have to come back here and share stories and pictures.:goodvibes

We'd just be miserable in September because of the heat. Since we're used to cooler temps, April will be just right for us, I hope. It will also depend on airfare, so I have to figure that out soon, but if we cruise, that's the one we'll most likely do.

Oh, another problem is that nobody at my work is allowed to take more than one week of vacation at a time, so they wouldn't let me go, but who knows where I'll be working in a year and a half? I might be somewhere better that's just as flexible as where I am now.

OK, supper is done and we're headed out to try to sell more popcorn. We've been slacking and haven't done anything all week with it.

We're doing the 1st Baltic! We're not eating between now and then, but hey we can stand to lose a few pounds! Anyone else looking at this one?

Hi Gydell

wow, you are doing the first Baltic.

Well we are sending the email that we are doing the 3rd Baltic - 6 July 2010 as the kids start school holiday. So we are reunion with Med people which we met them last year also one of Westbound are joining in too.

We change the Cat 6 to Cat 9.

Hopeful we can afford it as everything go dark day again,

Start doing ebay, carboot etc.

no airfares, we can go by train.

I wish you all come and join with us ::yes::

Ok.. my neighbor just put in 2 big trees today...

Apparently she doesn't realize that you have to rake leaves...

don't tell me that they put xmas decoration?????

Marilyn and John

Welcome home,

aye, I told you, it was raining huh

Tonight

My mother in law treated Olivia and I, we went to theatre to see Mary Poppins.

Oh I love it very much. I didn't expect it was good BUT it was brilliant.

I enjoyed it.

My mind is made up to do the Eastbound Transatlantic.

If the cruise had left a few days before Yom Kippur, I might have been able to say that I'd observe it while on board. But seeing that I would have to fly out on Erev Yom Kippur (the eve of) and depart on the day, well, that's just out of the question.

--------------------------

I looked at airfares today. Of course it is way too far out to book anything, but I looked at fares from Barcelona to Chicago. One way fare on Aerlingus are not too terrible. A couple of hundred less than a roundtrip (return trip for our UK friends) but at least it's not higher than a roundtrip (as is often the case).

I wish, I wish I could get more vacation. We could then fly from Barcelona up to London ($70) and then head out to Bath/Bristol where Sukie's daughter lives. I wouldn't mind a little holiday in dear old blighty.

I understand about the dates Ian. I'm sorry though. :) Perhaps things might change vacation wise before you have to book arifares and you can add those extra days on to go and visit Sukie's daughter.

Oh Deb... not Xmas yet... real trees... she's doing landscaping... This is my neighbor that kills plants... (and offers to kill yours while you are away on vacation...:lmao: ) Should be interesting...

I saw MP on Broadway and it was wonderful!!! Made one of my Non Disney friends go with me, so needless to say, I owe him big time...

Don't give away the ending... but wasn't it fantastic!!!:goodvibes :goodvibes

Jackie,

If you go on the TA, we should have our own Edwardian night.

We'll have to print calling cards to put in our FE's!!!

It might be a big problem as things are bad here and really looks like no end in sight at the moment.

Can't sleep!:confused3

Too much relaxation Marilyn??? That's ok.. in a bit Gaylean will sign on and you can talk to her in real time... ;)

Well darlin... make up your mind and let me know... would hate to get onboard and find out I'm sittin with strangers... :upsidedow

& you could always go and visit Marilyn and John... :goodvibes

Wouldn't it be funny if we all just showed up at their house... ;)

We're away that week!!:rotfl2:

Yeah and don't forget to tell the neighbors that the tour bus that pulls up in front of your house with all those "mickey" people... are really supposed to be there... ;)

I am home (since 1245p) and finally awake. My mouth is a little sore - most of the good stuff has worn off.

Don't think l'll be staying up too long tho...feel whiped out.

Sent an email to Tom (ta) asking him for info on the Christmas 2010 cruise. This was his response....
The Magic will be sailing December 18, 2010 for 11-Nights and December 29, 2010 for 10-Nights.

The Wonder will be sailing Thursday, December 23, 2010 for a 7-Night Western and Thursday, December 30, 2010 for a 7-Night Eastern. I have no idea what the cost will be. DCL is really tight with the pricing info for these sailings. My best guess is about $3600 on the 7-night sailings and $5000 for the 10- or 11-night sailings for a single cat 11 or 12. These estimates are based on what past cruises for these same time frames have cost when they opened, the actual rates could be much more.

So not sure if that would be any better (really) than the 12nt baltic. OH WHAT TO DO???? :confused3

NOW-why can't the other cruiselines come out with their 2010 prices now? Doesn't the cruise world know that I'm trying to make a decision here???
