Good morning all,
Yes, I'm finally up! And I will tell you right up front that I brought a mini van full of stuff to the roof and my when I got there I realized I'd left the camera on the recharger!

But, everyone else had cameras and I think Cheri, John & Bubba took 1000 pictures of everything. There wasn't much else I forgot, but that was a big one. We even got the party next to us to take a bunch of group photos in front of the sunset.
It was really fun. We all got there at about 3:15ish and grabbed the spot right in front to see the view. About one minute Here's what it will look like, but with people we know instead of strangers from the internet.
so, we got everything set up with umbrellas, chairs, blankets, more food than you could possibly imagine. I was so worried that we hadn't planned enough food for 24 people and Gaylean and I took home tons of salad and veggie sushi. We brought games for the kids, but the boys immediately headed for the rocks to climb on. The girls played all afternoon. Everyone blew up tons of balloons, Cheri put little drink tags on all the glasses. We put the cake toppers on the cake and they sunk backwards so Cheri had to put spoons up their backs to hold them up. They were adorable. I made keepsake lanyards for everyone that we will post later and send out to those of you who sent me your addresses. It was surprisingly hot for that area (80 degrees), but cooled off as the sun set. Although Jonathan and I thought it was hot, it was probably a beautiful change for everyone else. The view was beautiful and very crowded down at the beach. We were looking at the channel leading to the marina, so there was lots of action. Unfortunately, the marine layer was so think that we couldn't see Cataline island. Here's what it should have looked like:
We got it all ready and Nan & Paul rolled up with the grooms exactly on time. We blew the Magic's horn as they arrived. They wore their outfits and were really surprised. Nan will have to fill us in on the conversation on the trip.
So it was:
Steve and Dena (his new extremely nice and funny friend) and their kids.
Gaylean's family
my family
Nan's family
V&Bubba
Cheri & Jackie
So, we ate, drank, talked, ate cupcakes, took lots of pictures (well not me), the kids played. There was a USC birthday party next to us that had a plane fly by us with Happy Birthday trailing behind it. And there was a wedding taking their photos over the ocean. Then we lit candles and hung out for a while longer and left for
Disneyland at 8:15. Nan's family, Ian & Sukie and my family went to see the fireworks, sat and watched the dancing and big band music and then started hitting the rides that were absolutely empty until midnight when the park closed. It was really fun. By the time I got home I was so tired, but had to take a shower and collapsed. I actually slept in till 8:15, woke up and thought OMG, Nan's crew, Ian & Sukie, Jackie and Cheri are already at breakfast.
I'm sure everyone will be posting their thoughts about the party as they return to their computers today and the next few days. I'm not going to be able to go to the parks over the next 2 days as I'm swamped with work.
It was a fun night had by all and everyone brought so much to the party it was really a group effort that turned into huge fun.
