"Oh," says the bartender, "What about that eye patch? Last time you were in here you had both eyes."
"Well," says the pirate, "One day when we were at sea, some birds were flying over the ship. I looked up, and one of them shat in my eye."
"So?" replied the bartender, "what happened? You couldn't have lost an eye just from some bird ****!"
"Well," says the pirate, "I really wasn't used to the hook yet."

I'm feeling sooo tired today. I've already had a 20 min nap, which is very rare for me. I never nap during the day unless I have been awake for ages in the night.

Perhaps old age is catching up with me.

I've always wanted to do that but never have. Well only on the very rare occasion I have been ill and I can't remember the last time I was too ill to get dressed. I'm certainly not a stay in bed person at all.

Molly and Wilson (him the most) love staying in their jammies. They try it when ever they can, on the weekends sometimes I have to tell them to get dressed at 4pm

Which is because of how often you used to get them.

I know! And whenever she tells me she has one, it's hard for me not to say, "I don't!" I know how miserable she is, but don't know why she doesn't ask her doctor for something different like my drug. I know it doesn't work for everybody, but you'd think she'd want to try since her drugs aren't working.

All is well!

The website that listed the Magic on it, has taken the information down. This is probably because DCL asked them to. DCL wants to be able to "surprise" us.

Yeah, I had to talk Josh into a WDW trip for next year, but luckily we have a bunch of airline credits to use up So we're getting a 10-day trip, but between most of the airfare being comped and the 1/2 price hotel rooms and free park passes we get, he couldn't really argue with me!

I thought he'd give me a hard time about 2010 too, but he had SO much fun on our repo cruise that he really would love another long trip on DCL.

Someone got a screen shot of the Disney Magic listed on the Copenhagen port site yesterday, plus tons of people saw it so unless DCL is trying to throw us for a complete loop and just testing us it should still be correct.

Howdy ya'll, no playing today! I'm off to get GS badges and patches and a boy scout uniform. I'm going with a friend so maybe there is lunch involved I had some work to do so I didn't come on earlier. I've learned the hard way that I have to come on here after the work is done or I don't get it done.

You know Marilyn.. .I've decided that if I do go on a family cruise in August it will be good that she's there... she never gets hurricanes!!!

Well John has flown off to Dublin for a couple of day's business. I'm not used to being on my own at all.

I thought I would go on a little browsing shopping this morning - just need a couple of things for our holiday. Did I tell you we will be in the sun in 2 weeks?

Anyway, guess what - it is raining. Not cold, but wet rain. When will it ever stop? Apparently we have had a year's worth of rain already and we still have the 3 wettest months to come! Aome poor folk are flooded and more is expected.

So, I did what I needed to do and came home with some goodies to keep me company for 2 days!!!

I'm thinking of watching all 3 Pirates movies in almost one go. John loves them, but I think he is pirated up now!! I do have plans to visit a sick friend tomorrow afternoon, and am having my hair done on Thursday.

You have sent up Hurricane Hanna over(thanks for sharing) and we are awaiting the rain from that tomorrow or Thursday.

Sorry for Hanna... we had her on Saturday... she travels fast!!! It's raining her too if it makes you feel better... woke up around 6 am with horrible thunder and lightening all around... curled up under the covers for that one!!!

Oh and while John is away...pamper yourself a little.... take a long bath... get a manicure or something... eat your faves that John may not like... oh go for it!!!

At least normally Ian has checked in before now!!! Guess they go home today. I still want a piece of the cake.

My friend bought it for me from Magic Kingdom and I started it last Jan then stop, my husband said I bet you never finish it so I want to finish it *** I know I like it lot.

I didn't realise that it is a big job as I thought A4 but bigger than that lol

I bought the TINK one!!! haven't started it yet because I have to replace the fabric... I only work on linen... I know... snob... but I've been stitching for almost 22 years and I out grew Aida...

4 hours isn't too bad when tomorrow you are off and having a facial!!!



It looks really cute Deborah. I hae a huge one from 10 or more years ago and I only ever did a few stitches. I will never do it now!! It is about 4 ft by 18", but the design is only a small part of that, mostly blank canvas.

Give me some time and I will post pictures of some of my stitching... right after I find it... I stitch it but it hardly ever gets framed!!! All my stitching is at others houses... I go to my sisters to visit my work!!!

I did used to stitch, but never did anything with them. I still ahve some I stitched over 20 years ago that are just rolled up in a cupboard somewhere. I preferred working with linen too.

Looks like we are in for a nice(ish) day tomorrow, but Thursday in Hanna day!!! Of course it is also my hairdresser day!

Everything is going well here.. just busy with work. Plus, I'm going to school nights to get my insurance license, so that I can help out my dad with his job if he falls into bad health. So between the pregnancy, the 2-year old, work and school.. I'm pooped!

The Disney Magic has magically disappeared from the Copenhagen port website!!!

I believe this happened when folk found out some of the ports the Magic would be visiting in the Med.

It's a love hate relationship... they love us for cruising... but hate us when we ruin their surprises...

No cruising for us in 2009, since we have the new baby coming and need to save some $$, but I've been eyeing 2010!!

I'm interested but I'm still afraid of how the seas may be... I'm interested in the ports they may go to on the way... with my luck one of them will be NYC!!! (and I thought putting gas in the car and paying the tolls was an expensive way to go to the city... can you imagine flying to PC and cruiseing up there????) I can have my family come and wave from the Verrazanno bridge... although it would be super cool to cruise past the Statue of Liberty...
