Hey, you have some very special gifts. People can tell.

Well I'm going to check out the class today. They told me how much more money I would get by being an aide for special ed instead of the regular classes so I'm going to see what it's like.

Wow, I never knew this! I'm going to share this with Tyler's dad too so he doesn't freak out. Especially since he doesn't get as much sleep at dad's house as he does here. Here he can sleep 12 hours if needed, but there he gets 9 or 10 hours because he has to get up at 5:30am. Uggghhh.....I can't even get up at 5:30!

HA HA Brooke beats him. She is sleeping 14 hours a day and that's not counting what she's doing in class.

Away for awhile again guys . . . on Tuesday I had to call 911 for my dad. He had fallen down during the night going to the bathroom, and had crawled to the phone. Who does he call . . . my brother in the hospital, who then calls my cell phone, that I don't happen to wear in the shower at 6:07. When I finally get the message, I rush over to find him on the floor in front of the door curled up and covering himself with the enrty mat (inside).

No broken bones, blood levels all off, and they have him in medical ICU for tests. His red blood count was really low, which is probably why he fell. So for now I am back to the hospital visit routine, along with my brother in the rehab hospital.

Absolutely no time other than to stop by and say hello.

This week has been crazy....Haley CUT HER HAIR! What is it with my girls and scissors? She wanted to be like the other Haley in her class who has short hair. So I kindo f trimmed it up but she needs to go to the shop and have it fixed. John started ball again this week and we leave early Sat mornign for Gainesville...watch for us on Gameday....at least look for the girls we can toss tehm in the air!

That would be hard to give up. I know something will happen for you soon and if not there is always 2011 and 2012 and 2013 and you get the picture. I'm not sure we will have the deposit for 2010 if it is a cruise that we have to have 2000.00 when the dates are released like the other one was.

are you guys cruising in 09? I am not sure if we will be....man not cruising in the off season is killer money!

I never thought any kid could sleep more than Tyler! I just wish he was able to sleep 12 hours at his dad's but they have to leave so early in the morning. I need to let his teacher know that Thurs & Fri might be rough days for him because of that.

Sorry this is long, just sharing good news.

The school occupational therapist, Ellen, just called me to say that she's been peeking in Tyler's classroom to see how he's doing and has been in close contact with his teacher. The teacher mentioned the licking he does but says he does a good job of using the chewy around his neck when he starts licking too much. They're going to just observe this week and let him get adjusted to the routine, and then will determine the best times for his sensory breaks, based on what times of day he seems to start getting antsy or overwhelmed, and will put some sort of schedule together for him next week and she'll be calling Siiri (his outside occupational therapist) again to discuss what types of sensory activities would be helpful for him during the school day. Ellen (the school OT) is also going to see him every Wednesday morning and will check in on him regulary because she says she's in the school 3 days a week. She also said the special ed teacher will start seeing Tyler either this week or on Monday. She says he has a special needs child himself and has been working in the Lansing area for many years in resource rooms in other schools so has lots of experience helping kids with all different issues. Ellen says she's heard about Tyler's improvements and feels optimistic that this year will be a very good one for him with all the help he'll be getting. Great news!

That's great. I wouldn't worry to much about the licking. Ethan did it all through first grade. He had a ring around his mouth and bit his shirt. It just went away one day. Jon's mom, who is an OT, thought that he needed a chewy or gum, which you know isn't aloud. I never did it and it went away. I also know other people that have kids that do the same thing. Plus I know some girls that suck on their hair

That's great. I wouldn't worry to much about the licking. Ethan did it all through first grade. He had a ring around his mouth and bit his shirt. It just went away one day. Jon's mom, who is an OT, thought that he needed a chewy or gum, which you know isn't aloud. I never did it and it went away. I also know other people that have kids that do the same thing. Plus I know some girls that suck on their hair

Oh, Tyler has a chewy, and he carries gum in his backpack that they let him use when licking gets too bad. They're great about making accommodations at his school so far.

Ok - what else can I say.....I haven't noticed anything yet w/ the new meds. Still close to yelling at people at work (right now I want to tell them all to shut up). Still teary. It's only been 2 weeks so not expecting any miracles yet.

The school occupational therapist, Ellen, just called me to say that she's been peeking in Tyler's classroom to see how he's doing and has been in close contact with his teacher. The teacher mentioned the licking he does but says he does a good job of using the chewy around his neck when he starts licking too much. I am now of Pristiq 50mg plus my 150mg of Wellbutrin. It's only been 2 weeks so I don't expect to feel any different yet.

You made me laugh with your last comment---the only problem w/ that is that I'd be yelling at all but maybe 2 people and then the entire office would be angry at me and petty about what they would then do.
