Named in honor of the lost space shuttle crew, "Challenger" has performed free-flights during the USA's National Anthem at hundrews of events coast to coast—raising substantial public awareness for the Bald Eagle protection cause. He is the first Bald Eagle in American history trained to free-fly during the singing of the Star Spangled Banner. He has helped educate millions of people about the need to protect the USA's National Bird."

He is shown flying several places, with Roy Disney, Presidents Clinton and Bush, Dolly Parton, and probably other famous people you may recognize but I do not. Great song has been written about him which honors those who died.

Hey Kelly... at the store in Tomorrowland... I got a Minnie Princess Lea!!!:goodvibes

OOOO that sounds cute. I'll look for it.

I used to read soooo much, but haven't for years. I used to get into a book and nothing ever got done!!!(Now I do this and nothing ever gets done!!:lmao: ).

Do what I do listen to an audio book while you dis... of course, you may mix up the stories a little. I'm listening to Twilight the teen vampire story and I'm not sure if Monica just was bitten or if my lead character is having migraines.:confused3 :confused3

Holly, you've already gotten lots of feedback on this, but I want to add my 2 cents. Speaking as a former first grade teacher (15 years), the first few days of school, going from Kind. to first grade, is a very big adjustment. Lots of kids go through a rough patch. It's understandable that for you and with Tyler's history you'd be concerned. Tyler is facing what all the other kids are facing and he has the additional challenge of his disabilities added to that. Hopefully things will smooth out soon. If not, it will be different than last year because now he's been identified and he'll get the help he needs. Bless you, you've had your hands full for so long. I can't imagine how difficult it would be to parent a special needs child, but I've observed many, many parents doing it. Remember that you're not alone in this now, you have the school and Tyler's doctor with you, and even his dad, it sounds like he's trying. My experience has been that dads often have a harder time accepting their kids' difficulties, even under the best of circumstances. Hang in there!

Good advice teach!

Here's my mini-saga:

I got my car insurance renewal yesterday. Because of my accident my rates went from $900+/year to $2600+ a year!!! And they were supposedly giving me a break!
:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

My agent said she was going to shop around for something better!

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Gaylean, UGH!

Michelle, Very cute pictures!!!!:cutie:

Ken or Shannon, I can't find your email to send you the invite & invitation to the party - thought you'd like to know.

I just called Ian, they should be here by now, but couldn't reach them. It is 95 degrees in Anaheim today. :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: I've had strange dreams like this.

 Maybe God is looking out for you and you will find something better soon. He never closes a door without opening up a window.

I'm hoping for that... I really am... It just seems like everytime I get an in... I get out... :confused3

Gaylean's week in review or maybe two weeks
 Holy crap, that's enough crap to bring on a migraine! What's up with all this stuff at once? Really cruddy about the fingerprinting ordeal and the phone & tv issues and mean lady and holding forever on the phone. I hope it all gets worked out for you soon! Good grief!

What's back to school night? Is it sort of like conferences or just a chance for the parents to meet the teachers?

They range from high functioning autism to sever autism to Down's Syndrome to slight learning disabilities. Some of them are main streamed into Ethan's class so there may be a 5th or 6th grader that can do 3rd grade work so they're just a little slow. Other's need full attention and help.
Wow, that would be a really hard job. But also very rewarding.

Thanks Cheri, that really helps! I guess I really am just worried about a repeat of last year. You made good points and I appreciate the input. :goodvibes I'm actually going to share your words with his dad too to help ease his mind as well (but of course, not the mention of his dad). :thumbsup2

Gayleen,

What a saga! No wonder you have a backache! I got one just reading it, especially the part about trying to get your refund. Grrrrrrrr!!! Dealing with that stuff is exhausting!

Good luck with the job thing. Big decision for you!

NO...you simply must do something about that, OK? Got any connections? I'll put my mom to work on it...she usually 'takes care of' vacation weather for us.

Gotta head out soon and get my pedicure......

Meet the teachers and learn what they expect from you and your child. I'm the room parent so I organize the helpers in Ethan's class and this was a good chance to sucker them into it ;) . I was Brooke's last year but for some reason there is too many people willing to help in kinder and not enough in the upper grades. I think parents start slacking :lmao:

It's better than it usually is so I'm happy :)

I've never heard that before. Maybe the rate went up because it is a newer car :confused3
Insurance companies have leaning heavy on credit scores to set their rates for many years. At least here in Michigan. Not sure if it's a nationwide thing or not.
