BIG fight this morning. The subject? Bow ties.

I insisted on real bow ties and not the pre-tied stuff. I just don't think they look as good.

So, this morning was bow tie practice.

It wasn't pretty.

I finally after watching videos on Youtube figured out how to tie one. Sukie did not.

I tied his tie, and he kept complaining that I was hurting him. I told him I was going to hurt him a lot more if he didn't stop whining.

Then I realized that while the bow tie came out pretty good, I had tied his mustache into the tie.
Neverending laughs from you two! :rotfl2:

Yes these are the friends, and no, seeing the photos would just confirm their thoughts!!!:lmao:

I don't think the grandkids realise that going to Disney is odd for oldies to be honest. One did ask why we kept going there but that is all. Our eldest grandaughter just says 'I don't like Disney'. This comes because she was terrified of the characters and didn't like the rides when we went to DLRP 4 years ago!!

Your pictures are boring :scared1: I give you permission to show them mine :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Jon's family thinks were crazy ;) and he took out some of them. There weren't very many people that were interested in the Canal part. Only his parents and his aunt. There was an interesting one with Marr in my bed. She came to our room with Jon one night and I was sleeping so I look lovely!

We'd like the ports. The only problem is for some of them, such as Barcelona, we'd want more than one day.

Barcelona was the point of embarkation so you could always plan to arrive several days earlier to see the city.

Jon usually is too but I keep telling him all the rumors and he thinks we are all crazy :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: He has already been to Alaska and I won't even mention that he would love to go back. He wants to do the Caribbean but until today I didn't think there was on option for a longer cruise that went there. We would love to do the Med or Transatlantic because we have never been to any of the ports. I feel like half a day isn't enough time to do a lot of things in ports but maybe it would be enough time to decide if we wanted to spend the money to go back. We know we want to go back to Cabo and Aruba. The only port that I felt like I really saw and experienced was Aruba. I wish I would have done other things in all of the other ports. I did research Aruba the most though because I figured I would go to Mexico again.

I take ports of call on cruises as the same thing - just a tasting, but enough to tell me if I want to go back.

Aruba & Cabo are on my go back list too.

I also do the "Hop on/Hop off" buses in different cities to get the lay of the land, and see where I want to spend more time at

Maybe we should plan that together since I know a lot of people liked Cabo. You know it doesn't HAVE to be a cruise ;)

You could JUST tell his Dad Tyler's initial reaction and not the reconsidered reaction...... Well, you COULD!

Jan :earsgirl:
Oh, I plan on telling him just that when the topic comes up again. I believe Tyler will know when he feels ready, and now isn't the time. Who knows, he might be a whole year from now, but I doubt it. The more I think about it, I keep in mind that all kids are different, and I'll re-evaluate when it gets closer to next summer. :thumbsup2

Weather answer for TA/Med. May beautiful. First week of June excellent. Apparently hot after that... like Africa hot ... oh yeah, it is close to Africa!

Madeira is also a wine.

Madeira is also wood in Portuguese.

Later summer in the Med/Europe is HOT!

The kids are bugging to use the computer and I have to do laundry. I'll check in later.

I think the guy would have loved to see them, it is the female who just never asks, seems interested etc. If she saw us in a photo with Mickey I think she would really think we had lost the plot!!!:rotfl2:

What is wrong with those ones? I'm researching :lmao:

I think Monica has seen all those places. She lives where it is WARM all year. She wants the cold Northern Europe!!:rotfl:

I just read on Facebook, something from half of a couple who are really good friends of ours.

I think Michael is turning 50 this year (or maybe 49). His partner Tim gave him 4 days in Cairo, a 7 day cruise down the Nile, and 5 days in England as a birthday present.

I got emailed a photograph of 3 baby owls for my birthday (absolutely true).

Seriously, I sometimes feel funny when we're with friends and talking about vacations, because we go to WDW so much, and when we go on a cruise, we go on DCL.

They all seem to do much more "grown-up" things, trips to Europe, California Wine Country Holidays, gay cruises.

Anyone else ever feel that way? (well not about the gay cruise part).

In some ways I sometimes feel out of touch with our friends because they seem to prefer to do things that are sort of, well more "mature."

Must say that my family doesn't really understand me either....My dad doesn't seem to understand why I would go on DCL if they do the Northern European cruises....I said "why not"?? I know the ship, I know what quality to expect, etc.

The way I look at things - if I can do the more "grown up" trips but still incorporate Disney, why not?? When I went to Paris in 2003 with a friend who had never been, I told her being that close I needed to go to DLP. I want to do Japan (WWII stuff) & Hong Kong too (culture etc) BUT you'd better believe that I'll be going into all the Disney parks too!

The gay cruise part made me think of Under the Tuscan Sun - when Diane Lane went on the gay tour of romantic Tuscany.

I can't answer this because when we got home all of our friends and people we didn't even know that well kept asking how we afforded to go on Disney. A lot of them take other cruise lines and others do other vacations but thought that Disney was out of price range for them. We knew one family that flew to WDW and stayed for two weeks. Going to all the parks and staying at WDW. I know they paid more than us but just assumed the cruise was too much. We do have kids though so that may be different. And my friend, who went on a week long DCL cruise said it was too much for her. She didn't like the characters and she hated how nice the food was :confused3 And she has two kids.

How can anyone hate how nice the food is????:confused3

Madeira is also wood in Portuguese.

Later summer in the Med/Europe is HOT!

It is very hot - humid not Phoenix hot. I think Rome was the most uncomfortable I have been(ok, perhaps going through the PC was pretty bad!)

Eastern Med is hotter too. Now I would quite like to go over there.

What is wrong with those ones? I'm researching :lmao:

Nothing wrong with them at all - I've just been to most of those places so I want to go somewhere different.

They are GREAT places to go to...I LOVE ITALY and recommend going there 100%.

Ian, I missed this post!!(Been watching hurricanes). You two crack me up!!!

Poor Sukie!

Even if I wasn't there - I would LOVE to help you plan....just like the MK for me - I love to share my favorite places in the world w/ my friends. :goodvibes

Would love to! Wasn't planning on the next time there being on a cruise. I loved where Gydell stayed.
