BIG fight this morning. The subject? Bow ties.

I insisted on real bow ties and not the pre-tied stuff. I just don't think they look as good.

So, this morning was bow tie practice.

It wasn't pretty.

I finally after watching videos on Youtube figured out how to tie one. Sukie did not.

I tied his tie, and he kept complaining that I was hurting him. I told him I was going to hurt him a lot more if he didn't stop whining.

Then I realized that while the bow tie came out pretty good, I had tied his mustache into the tie.

Ian had posted about how sacred Suki was when he was hospitalized and his joke about being allergic to bad taste when he was hospitalized.

Instesd of being kind and supportive I got thinking about that ALLERGIC line and how annoyed I have been lately at idiot drivers, etc so made my post.

Now after a good night's sleep I realize you all may have thought I meant that Ian, Suki, and/or you all were idiots.

You guys keep me sane!

Whereever the ship goes I'm pretty sure we are going.

For a Med cruise we just aren't sure if we want to do the Transatlantic or if we want to tour the Med.

For us it will depend on the ports of call. However, I would lean towards the TA because I'm not sure I could do a Disney Cruise without a stop at CC. And yes that goes for the Alaskan one too.

Let's face it, most of the fun of a Disney Cruise is the ship itself, so where it goes does it really matter?

You have such a way about your convincing! So start in FL and end in Alaska or at your house!!!!

There's so many rumours - I am just hoping for a longer cruise

It is funny looking back at fashions. At the time we MUST have things fashionable, but in later years we can't believe anybody would. Just look at 80's hair styles and padded shoulder pads.

The 80's were crazy - I had a bunch of the neon coloured clothes. Neon yellow track pants for gym class one year

This pathetic because I'm quoting myself but I have to ask a question. How much fun would an Alaskan cruise be for the kids? I can just imagine "Look kids, there is another animal" and "Isn't this beautiful, I know you can't swim like the other cruise but this is much more educational".

It does warm in Alaska, swimming could be possible Relax and don't worry, on Oct 7 we'll all know the options and then everybody can figure out what they want to do.

This looks just so much like our house. Ours is a 1959 ranch and the ugliest house on the block by far. Neighbors thanked us when we painted it. But the inside had dark brown paneling everywhere with 3 layers of wallpaper on absolutely everything including all the ceilings. Each wife (3) had re-wallpapered over the last wife's wallpaper. We are still a long way off from being done here. We still have one pink and gray bathroom and a totally nonfunctioning kitchen. We do all the work ourselves too. One project each year. The exterior and all the landscaping is almost complete.

Our house was built early 70's, we have a lilac tub and toilet

And I know Tyler wouldn't handle it well for at least a couple more years. Not sure how I'll convince his dad of that though. When I mentioned the idea to Tyler, he said,

"You mean 2 weeks without mom? No way, are you crazy?"

I assured him he doesn't have to, and that I was just mentioning it because his dad was telling me how he went as a kid. Then he said,
"Oh, well if my dad did it, I'll do it."
But I think that's just him trying to please his dad.

You could JUST tell his Dad Tyler's initial reaction and not the reconsidered reaction...... Well, you COULD!

We do have a Madeira cake, but it is nothing like the real one in Madeira!!! Ours is a polain rich buttery cake. The true Madeiran one is a heavy cake, though I forget what it is made of.

Kinda tough to end at my house. We are in the interior - land locked. It's an 8 hour drive to the ocean.

Take this map of BC:

Find the middle of the province, and you will (basically) find us. Just as an indicator, the bottom left hand corner is Vancouver, BC - home of the 2010 Winter Olympics. (Actually in the pic we are categorized as "Northern").

And sorry, no locks to get the Magic through to my place!

Really we are just looking for a longer cruise too and praying we like the ports and that some of you guys are on it I'm not stressing about the itineraries as much as the deposit. I wonder how long we will have after they announce it. Last time we had a couple of months.

OK now I get it. I would have never spelled it that way but I have heard it. I think I like your order but maybe 2nd and 3rd reversed. I don't know.
