WOW! Both sound great but the Med sounds a little better. I wonder about the weather. We like it hot but not too hot.

Later summer (August) is usually the hottest.

Lisa - I have 4 different cruise itineraries picked out (waiting for 2010 rates/dates too).....want to see if we can connect????

Since reading up about the Queen mary 2, I really would agree. That ship is built for Transatlantic crossings and apparently you have a pretty smooth crossing.

Cunard is really the only cruise line I'd do a TA on....whether QM2 or the Queen Victoria. I'm jealous that you & John are going to be doing this.

Erm, we're not anymore. You must have missed my posts.

We are going to Florida on 29th April, having a week or so at a DVC, then setting off o probably up to St Augustine and Savannah. Back to WDW, and ending up with a villa(vacation rental home, not DVC) for 3 weeks, where our daughter, son in law and their 4 children will be joining us for 16 nights!!!

We will do our QM2 trip another time as we still want to do that.

No I don't think he will stress. That was the first time we have entertained that many people who were not family.

If it's the Med the only port that I really would like to go to is my namesake..Venice, but yeah we could handle it. Especially if we are together.

Depends. Don't think I'd do a transAtlantic (but I would on one of the NEW ships). If they brought the Magic west for any reason, I'd really be more tempted to do another PC than to play very long in the Pacific Ocean. Would love to see Alaska...would love to do the Baltic...would love the eastern Med. Rumor is we'll have two weeks to decide!

I think I can only do a transatlantic on a "real" ocean liner - just going on the pics from the TA cruises last year there really would be no point in my going. I'd be so that you guys would never see me

I might do it on one of the NEW DCL ships!

Ah, sorry. The Transatlantic doesn't fit in as when we would have wanted to go home the ship is elsewhere. We decided to leave it and do a trip to New York and area sometime and do the crossing back.

Thanks about thinking about us and the villa. We are just about sorted!! I didn't know you owned at Vistana Resort. Do you get to go often or trade?

I usually seem to trade - have only stayed at Vistana 1x in 2000. 1 year traded in for Starwood points, 1 year had my thatched room Irish cottage, and I right now have 2 weeks banked (I'd like to get Disney's Vero Beach but it hasn't worked out date wise yet).

I did get a bit (seasick) on 2 occassions this cruise - only 1 night tho where I felt I had to go to bed.
