Good Morning

I just got up now

Shannon

Last night I went to see the Mamma Mia but it said must be over 8 years old :confused3 I don't know why as it was brilliant and I want to go back again to watch it as remind me film Grease :rotfl:

Marilyn

If you like Abba's music and go watch that film. I find it better than performance show which I missed out lot. Now I know what it is about.

I feel like to dancing and singing

Morning Deborah.

I think I would like to see Mamma Mia, but I'm sure I won't get John to go. We were so busy with 3 little children in the 70's we did seem to miss out such a lot of the music at that time, though knew what was going on of course. Didn't seem too bothered then. Because Abba is always around of course I have caught on to the music, but it is too late for John and anyway he really isn't in to any music.

Can I ask(I hope you don't mind), do you get a feel of the music and the beat?

My goodness, you were all chatty today!

Finally got the call from the insurance adjuster and they are giving me $3,300 MORE than what I owe on the car, so I'll have down payment money. Now....let the shopping begin! :thumbsup2 I am going to go sit in a Hyundai Tucson and see if I like it. I might consider a new one of those over a slightly used Rav4 or CR-V, mostly because of the great warranty (10 years/100,000 miles) and saftey test results. We'll see if any of the dealers are doing smoking deals (i.e., low interest rates) on the new ones.

I also had my annual review and I was right....my raise covers the cost of monthly Weight Watchers meetings with a couple of dollars left over for a glass of tea. :sad2: I'm not really :sad2: as there are lots of folks out there who aren't getting anything and they and I are lucky to still have jobs. Ian, I was bummed to learn that Arizona does not offer the monthy pass at WW. So I'll be paying $2 a week more than Dianne :upsidedow when I by the 10 week deal.

OK...I'm going to bed at a decent time tonight....in 18 minutes!

Nighty-nite!

.

I didn't know that monthlies were not offered in Arizona!

Arizona might be a franchised territory and not owned directly by corporate WW which might be why they don't have the monthly pass, because the pass is a national program, but I'm not sure. There are still some states that are not owned directly by corporate. I only really know about Illinois.

The play was great      I give it 5 dancing bananas :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Wilson did really well, and didn't smile at us in the front row too much (ok he did) and he blew me a kiss too :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

He did in my opinion upstage the lead little kid Winthrop just a little bit. I have the feeling we have just opened a wide door for Wilson to enjoy a new activity.

Molly had a blast and is flying very high on a sugar 11 year old rush....

I'm not even thinking that they will go to bed tonight. Glad our bedroom is at the opposite end of the house to where the crazy girls are sleeping.

Sounds wonderful! Congratulations to Molly and Wilson!

Will there be videos for viewing? Are autographs available?

This summer has been so busy, well at least work has been really busy.

I woke up today and realized that next week is the last week of July.

Is this summer flying by for anyone else, or just me?

Hi Marilyn

I am wearing my hearing aid (I cannot live without it) and I have 70 percent with my hearing aid. I love music and know some song and words too. That why and only I take it off when I go to bed and hearing nothing like peaceful!!:lmao: I carry batteries with me. My husband is total different from me he is not wearing hearing aid only sometime but I cannot do that, I will be lost without my digitial hearing aid.

I remember Abba's song and No. 1 Dancing Queen long times ago.

I think my husband feel the music of the beat.

On the Cruise I went to karote but I won't sing it and interpreter try pull me and I told them you have to sing I sign lol Never happened.

Ian,

I remember the term "going to market" which was used for grocery shopping.

Also remember milk being delivered to the house in glass bottles and in the winter time it had to be put in a special insulated box to keep it from freezing. Otherwise you had a "milk cycle" coming out of the top of the bottle.

Also remember my Grandmother ,who was very British, "going to market" every Friday and dragging her little roller cart behind her.

We also had a "City News Store" in which I think you could find any magazine that was ever published, along with cigars, cigarettes and adult toys and cards. (This store is still in business in my old home town of Mansfield, OH. and still selling the same things.) The news store was right next door to Coney Island where you could get 6 coney dogs for $1.00. They are also still open for business but the price has increased. (More like $1.00 each now)

How about the "Army - Navy Surplus Store" ? As a kid I spent hours in there looking at all the wonderful things one could by. Now its E-Bay and you have to know what you want.

Also remember cars that you could work on yourself without a $10,000.00 computer to tell what might be wrong with your car. (Had a 1954 Olds with a 325 ci engine and 4 barrel carb that got 25 mpg and gas was $ .30 to .32 a gallon.

"Those were the days my friend!"

Doug

Some Car Guys who have a column in a Chicago paper (I think) said they think the disappearnce of those cars has led to an increase in teenage pregnancies as the guys still want something to mess around with.....

Tyler takes it at bedtime for a week, then after that it will be in the morning at breakfast and at bedtime.

His dad was not happy about the plan, but grudgingly went along with it. Funny thing was the doctor was reviewing all the questionnaires we each had to fill out over the past year from multiple doctors, and the school filled out the same. He pointed out that for every single form, the school and I answered about the same and our results showed the same significant areas of concern, but his dad's answers every time were completely different, showing no concerns. That gives the Dr. a true picture of his dad's denial, and in fact he asked him if he was in denial! :rotfl2: He did it in a very professional way though. He asked what we all think the reason might be for dad being the only one with a different result on each questionnaire. He asked, "Is it that the school and mom are both with him more hours a day? Is it that he just behaves differently at your house and doesn't display any of these symptoms with you? Or is it denial?" Dad bowed his head and quietly said, "Probably all of the above". :thumbsup2

Thank goodness, the Dr. told us he's basing his opinion on the majority.

Dr. had a nice way of expressing to dad just how much Tyler has to struggle to get through every minute of every single day. He related all of Tyler's symptoms to how dad would cope at work every day with all those things going on, and flat out told him Tyler's having a major struggle every day just to get through the day. I think that finally sunk in from dad, especially hearing if from a professional instead of always only hearing it from me.
.
What a great MD!.::yes::
.
I wonder if Tyler's Dad could accept the assessment better because the MD is a man and most of the other input was from women (who don't understand what it's like to be a boy.....)
.
Also glad Tyler will not have to go to the nurse's office for his medication as that singles a kid out for teasing or worse more than pull-outs for special tutoring or therapy.

Good morning to you too, Miss Lisa!

Heading out the door to work in a couple of minutes...had to pop back on the computer to look up my credit union's interest rate on new car loans, so I'll have that figure to fall back on if the dealers aren't making any special offers.

Have a good day kids!

.

On campus minor dining for me was pizza delivery...

We have been looking at Oslo tickets....I just wrote Vanessa a long e-mail. We talk often and we miss her very much!! Her family vaction is going to Coatia (sp?)...I do not even know where that is :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Where will you go? When will you go? Vanessa is thinking of spending next summer here working.
.
Croatia is part of what used to be Yugoslavia. It wraps around Bosnia, another part and also there is Serbia. We have friends who are missionaries in Bosnia.

Croatia has a lot of coastline. It is across a finger of the Mediterranean from Italy. Also it is north of Greece.

I wonder how far it is from Vanessa's home....how would it compare to a trip in the US? PA to FL? Or Maine to FL? I need a globe.....

Jan :earsgirl:

Sounds wonderful! Congratulations to Molly and Wilson!

Will there be videos for viewing? Are autographs available?

Dad did the illegal taping from his seat and at intermission the machine failed, so we have the first half and I'll get on him and see if he can youtube it for us.

Good Morning to the West Coasters!!

Good Afternoon to the East Coasters!!
:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I've been up for about an hour. I went to bed ~ 2am, the girls stayed up watching a movie.

I came to the kitchen about 9am and saw the girls around the kitchen table and Paul at the sink and figured he made them pancakes, as was the plan....I get up an hour later and find the girls in the thick of crafting. Molly was given a spa kit last night from a friend, so they made lotion, lip balm and perfume this morning...no breakfast, right to spa building.

Paul tells me now pancakes are up! I'm headed back in to munch my breakie.

One friend has stayed on to play with Molly today, the rest are home. Wilson went home with my sister, to be away from the noise level of the girlies...

check back later. has the rain stopped yet?
