Hi Holly, hugs are always welcome and in time we'll resolve it.

Just an FYI, Marilyn and Holly, I'm Debra or Debbie or I just use Deb. My mom didn't spell it as Deborah. I'm used to seeing it spelled that way a lot, but it's just not me.
I'm sorry Deb, I've always gotten it right before, I was just in a hurry and I saw Kelly's response to Deborah's post and everything just blurred together. But I did mean you. Sorry. You know what? I have a former co-worker friend named Lori and a current co-worker named Laurie, and I'm ALWAYS switching the 2. So you're not alone, I'm consistently mixing up EVERYBODY. ;)

Hello Everybody

WHY:confused3 my late mum birthday on 5th Aug.

:rotfl: :rotfl:

Hi Deb

Good to hear from you and ::yes:: I was confused at first then I realised it was for you :rotfl: :rotfl:

Scottishwee35

Hi Deborah, nice to be chatting with you again. Now I see your smiling face everytime I see your name......see, you get confused too like me.

ha ha ha:woohoo: Hope you're having a great day.

I'm sorry for all that you are going through. I can't help since I have never been in the situation. I'm sure I will be though since Jon has a brother that we'll have to take care of, plus he has two aunts that were never married and his parents. Thank goodness there are four kids in my family so hopefully we can all take turns with my parents. Plus Jon's parents are a lot older than mine so I'm hoping that they all need help at different times. If not, I'm really in for it. The only advise I could give would only be a temporary solution and it would put more weight on :lmao:

Hi Gaylean, You are so funny.....I really missed you too!

It sounds like dealing with the elders in your family is going to be a lot of work. Fortunately you only have the young ones to care for right now.

I would expect nothing less from you Holly......supermom that you are.....always busy and on the go......it's easy to understand. I knew what you meant but I didn't want Deborah to get confused. All is well!

And I expect you to check in every day of those 5 1/2 weeks :lmao:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: We will be able to for the first 2 weeks in Orlando, then it will be hit and miss, but we will be taking a computer.

Last year even going away for a weekend took a lot of catching up, but by next April I bet there are only a few posts a day.:sad2:

Prices are coming down a bit here also. Under 3.90 at a couple of stations, but still a bit over 4 at most .

Prices are coming down here too.

I wasn't due to put gas in Mrs. Fezziwig until around the middle of August, but I filled her up last weekend, because I thought I should take advantage of the price.

Ian, Got the DVD's yesterday thank you so much can't wait to watch them! Sorry about Shalisa (sp?)

I was wondering if they arrived. Will be very interested to hear what you think of the educational Sex & Drugs educational films.

We have actually begun the big clear out. Even the little we have already done it has to be said it feels good. I am being unusually ruthless. Until Kelly said how good it was I wouldn't have believed it.

We are doing a little at a time, keeping going till it is done though.

Shannon....

How awesome was that opening tonight on SYTYCD....I loved the rose. It was beautiful. I don't know who is gone, but I finally watched last night and it was amazing. I am so addicted. I wish this was on all winter long too. These kids are amazing. It's really one of the best reality show on tv. Talent based and no tricks! Don't ya think!?!

S

omg and that little breakdancer...too cute for words!

Both shows this week were fantastic! I'm excited for the finale. I don't know who will win, but I think it'll be one of the guys.

Late night drive by....

We are beat... Had a good couple of days the full story to come when I'm home on the couch.

Short story, Wilson finished 10th That's 10th in the Nationals (so 10th in the country) (well you get the point)

Congrats Wilson!:cool1:

Shannon, Love to see your and Ken's Miis on WiiFit. It gives it a little personalization. We got one from a Scott when yours came in and can't figure out who it is. It looks a little like Sukie.:confused3

Carol

If Scott's got facial hair and wearing a red hat, then Ken must have accidentally sent him along with ours. :lmao:

Good afternoon everybody!

Trying to wrap the most critical stuff up at work and get out a couple hours early. Need to get home, and finish packing up to go camping!:)

Have a great weekend everybody!

Late night drive by....

We are beat... Had a good couple of days the full story to come when I'm home on the couch.

Short story, Wilson finished 10th That's 10th in the Nationals (so 10th in the country) (well you get the point) It was a drama filled race as there where lots of errors with the flags and Willie missed his checkered flag and had to come off of pit row to lap it again and take the checkered.

He drove well, the girl that usually takes 1st in his region came in 5th. And if you recall he usually places 5th in the region, so it really makes sense that he placed at 10th for the nationals with her at 5th.

We have uncovered some issues lack of confidence in over taking people on corners and fear of sliding out and also the "we don't use our brakes rule" is now in place, that and always do an extra lap for your mama and when they ask you why you tell them about the time when you were racing kid karts at the Grand Nationals....

This weeks events will be the stories that Wilson tells his kids and grandkids one day so for that I'm happy it all turned out well...

Here is the link of the local news cast for the event.

Tomorrow we are headed to Hearst Castle for a family day of fun. Tonight we enjoyed a side trip to Solvang (we missed it the other day, due to a fire at our hotel) hey we made the news twice in one day in Santa Maria and these people don't really even know me :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Michelle did you call ahead to warn (rat me out) them????

And it was a BAGEL???? Geez... At least the ice machine didn't back up... :lmao:

Booked our travel for next April/May. We fly to Orlando on 23rd April and hope to spend around 2 weeks there. Hi Monica and Connie!!

We leave on the Queen Mary 2 on 32st May from NY. Hi Michelle!

Perhaps en route we will say hi to Lisa and Deb too.

So... you want me to pencil you in for the 32nd of May???? OKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK.....:lmao:

Yes, Virgin to Orlando and back on the QM2. On long holiday of 5 & 1/2 weeks. The transatlantic voyage on the QM2 is 6 nights.

:lmao: about Keith!!! Our daughter did that too and it was the smell we noticed first.

They all seem to do something don't they!!

Our niece put a peanut in her ear and had to go to hospital to have it removed. She enjoyed the attention so much she did it again!!!

Only 6 nights on board??? and without US??? :sad2:

I put Vasoline in my hair when I was a baby... Mom was furious, but I have very soft and luxurious hair ever since!!! :rotfl:

Smart Car owners seem to be very attached to their cars. Not sure why, but we love Mrs. Fezziwig and she is not the first car we've had.

Mrs. Fezziwig is what Smart Car owners typically call a bumblebee, yellow with a black strip.

Maybe I should start selling advertising space on her.

Maybe we could advertise Planky's next best seller....

Shannon, have a great time camping!

:rotfl2: Who change what I wrote?!!:lmao: I can't possible have typed that!!.:rotfl: :rotfl2:

Yes, only 6 nights onboard, and much more formal. I'm worried about all the weight I will put on in the 5 or so weeks in the US before the cruise. Do I take formals 1 or 2 sizes bigger than the size I am when I fly out?

Hi friends.......I need to say thank you to Jackie, Jan, Lisa, Holly, Marilyn and Cheri......you truely are such great friends. I got your PM notes and they were very welcome. I just wasn't ready to respond yet.

It's a new month, whew! I made it through the one year anniversary of mom's passing and my uncle is out of ICU. It was rough there for a bit, but now it's over.

Another issue that I'm dealing with is increased weight which is also making my legs worse. Not good. So I started another diet food delivery service this week. I'm using birstromd instead of diettogo.....better food, same prices. I need to get my weight under control and my legs better.

My biggest dilemma has been the expense of keeping Ray at the private care facility down the road. He loves it there and it's convenient for us to remain a part of his life and to watch over his medical care. One year ago when this decision was made it was only going to cost me an additional couple of hundred out of my pocket and it was worth it. One year later after increased prices, moving Ray into a private room, prescription expenses, doctors appointments and medical testing expenses that his insurance does not cover, his additional expenses at Mrs. Bush's, it all totals to over $1500 each month. It's much more than I'm comfortable with to add to my budget every month. Ray has brain injuries from when he fell down the stairs four years ago. His illness does not do very well with change. My dilemma is how do I keep the promise that I made to my mom to always take care of him, I have a POA for him from her, and keep him happy and not flipping out of control and still not blow off mine and John's dreams. This additional expense is going to affect our plans to build and retire in Delaware in three years. And then the scary question of what to do with Ray in three years when we retire and want to move, but he's still alive and with us. Other than his brain injury, he's as healthy as an ox. His vitals read better than mine.

The other change in my life is that there's no one here anymore.....Sandi and mom are no longer in town. Me and John are on our own and we realized how much the grandkids did for us and helped us out. They were at our house all the time.

So life really has changed this past year and not for the best but now it's time to really take control and turn it around as best as I can. Some of it though, I still don't know what I'm going to do about yet.

I'm 50+ pages behind but I will read it all and catch up soon. I miss reading about all of your lives. Any comments or suggestions are always welcome if anybody has a clue how to deal with my Ray dilemma.

Now that it's Aug 1st I can say, next month I'll be in Mickey's world and everything will be alright again. That's why we love being with the mouse, it's always perfect and magical and fun.

Deb... glad to see you are back.... We missed you greatly. I know it's been a tough time.. Hugs all around :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: And know that we are always here to listen.

Hopefully you will be able to take care of Ray in the best way that you can. Perhaps if there is a social worker at the home they can give you some suggestions. We did this for my grandfather and it was a big help.

Thanks Marilyn.

Deb, We've missed you. But I know you have been dealing with a full plate. Glad to hear your uncle is out of ICU. Here are some          for you.

V... :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: I hope that helps...

Funny... all the kids in my family call me Aunt Shell but if you call me Shelly... to my mom it's like the proverbial fingernails on the chalk board!!! :scared:

I don't know why I put Deborah, as I know you as Deb!!!:confused3 I had been chatting to Deborah earlier, so probably just got confused when typing!!!

I'm old you know!!!:lmao:

Oh yeah... really, Marilyn... :rotfl:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: We will be able to for the first 2 weeks in Orlando, then it will be hit and miss, but we will be taking a computer.

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! By then we'll all be sending up smoke signals and communicating by flags or something...

Prices are coming down here too.

I wasn't due to put gas in Mrs. Fezziwig until around the middle of August, but I filled her up last weekend, because I thought I should take advantage of the price.

What... you had to put in $1.50????? ;)
