Wednesday I'm going to the James Taylor concert at the Greek Theatre.

Woody

Oh Woody... you are making me so  with jealousy!!! I'm still hoping to make it to the Police and possibly Journey - they are playing with Heart and Cheap Trick...

Nothing cool going on with us, though we did run all of our errands.

I pick up part of my wedding ensemble from the tailor tomorrow, but that isn't cool and is just pretty boring.

Ian... nothing about the wedding ensemble is boring!!! :goodvibes

I did not know.

Jan

Not many do... I'm seeing my best friends ex boyfriend...and no... she doesn't know... but they've been apart for a long time now - it's just complicated... I seem to make friends along the way from relationships and friendships that have changed... I'm not sure that makes me either the stable one or not...

I'm not sure he was really a man. I believe there are angels all around us, in many forms. :goodvibes

    they do exist... I believe in Angels!!! & Saints... especially St. Anthony when I can't find the keys to my car... :sad2:

I haven't even subscribed to the September 12th Cruise thread yet.

Get on over there and introduce yourselves! Also how about Mousefest? They do get a lot of folk at the Mega Mousemeet. And, you can meet a few ex cruisers who wull be there.

The new kitten also got a name finally. We changed it to Panama Jack, PJ for short. Panama after the cruise and Jack after Captain Jack!!! He is a wild, bouncy thing and refuses to let me sleep.

My injury turned out to be we still don't know what. But that friday I stepped on a tennis ball and pulled a leg muscle.

I hope eveyone is doing well. I hope to be in WDW in Dec, 2009. I hope some of us might meet up. I know its far away but as of right now thats looking like the soonest we can get back since we are going to Ohio next summer.

Jill, I love your scrapping - you are so talented.

What a brilliant name you have for your cat. Have you any pictures or doesn't he stay still long enough for you to take any!!!

When in December are you thinking of being at WDW? There are af ew of us down ther at slightly different times but overlapping too.

Oh, how exciting!!! I hope he likes Disney and cruising!!

It is such a beautiful day here. Warmest and nicest of the year so far.

We have been for a longish walk but got too hot having a coffee indoors. We originally were not having coffee out today but John need a loo stop :rolleyes1 and the coffee shop we go to regularly is very cheap!!!!:lmao:

So, when we cool down(no aircon here) we are starting on tidying the spare room, hopefully being ruthless, and getting all our different vacation bookings/info into neat files! It is great planning so many vacations, but the organisation is a bit stressful. Ok, no sympathy from any of you I know!!!:rotfl:

We are going to a Golden Wedding do tonight. Should be very low key and a nice evening.

I have thought of going to Mousefest, not so much for me but for Mouse Manager. I have been wondering whether I should make an appearance or not.

The problem is really vacation time. I'm taking time off for the California wedding which was never really in our plans for the year, as the law had not changed until this past May.

So I'm still not sure ... I can carry unused days over (up to 10 unused days) into next year, and in 2009, we want to go to WDW in the spring, possibility with my step-daughter and grandson (I can't believe those words are even coming out of my mouth).

Then in September we have the cruise and we want to peg on a week in WDW (not sure if it will be before or after).

But I will go over there and perhaps just say hello.

It started out as a comic book convention 39 years ago - now it is a giant pop culture convention. Comic books are still here and still a big part of it but now the movie and tv studios come as well as anime, action figures, etc.

I think it's been held here in Chicago. Sukie once worked at one here, where he was hired to attend to the needs of the actor George Takai, who played Lt. Sulu on the original Star Trek.

I think I can assure you that we are the only couple in the country who will be wearing what we will be wearing to get married in.

Selected with a summertime morning wedding in mind, I think I have outdone myself.

[One funny thing though, Sukie had suggested that we wear the tails. I just looked at him in shock and said, "Wear black tie to a morning affair? That simply isn't done."

Honestly, I blame all that watching of "Upstairs. Downstairs.' when I was a teenager.

I received an email today from someone who was on our cruise, though not part of our DIS group.

Some of you may remember Dougy and JP. Dougy had a big white beard, and dressed in full kilts on formal night.

They were another couple, and we spent a fair bit of time with them, socializing, etc.

Dougy sent me this You Tube video of him, in the international Santa Claus Conference that was held this month:

Well the Mega mousemeet is only on the Saturday. Not sure if it would be worth the journey just for that, but I bet Mouse Manager would do great there. Mind you it would cost just to exhibit there.

Have you chatted with anyone from Mousefest? These were who were there last December.

Morning cruisers! Just woke up and haven't even had tea yet. I'm making calls to siblings this am and need to get an early start on that. Brother (in North Carolina) just had double hip replacement surgery and he's doing so well, I think they're sending him home early! Also must check in with Chicago sister as we haven't had a good chat in a couple of weeks.

Peg is having a young friend (8 years old) hang out with us tomorrow, so I think we'll go see Wall-E. I'd better dust off my American Girl doll too, just in case she needs to join the party.

....catch ya on the flipside.....

Bummer.........I can no longer see things on my computer requiring flash. :sad2:

Hope you can see the Police. Sting steals the show.

The new singer for Journey is awesome.

I recently saw Ann & Nancy Wilson (of Heart). They rock!

Sorry, just have to vent here. I get so irritated when people state the obvious. It's one of my pet peeves, even at work. I have a difficult time biting my tongue and not getting snappy when this happens.

With Tyler's dad not being happy about meds, I KNEW he'd be going out of his way to search for bad potential side effects. I jokingly told people at work, "Watch...when I pick Tyler up on Saturday, his dad will have a bunch of info that he printed from the internet for me to read." EVERYBODY knows that everything can have side effects. EVERYTHING.......even over the counter meds, depending on how your body reacts to it. I even mentioned that at that Dr. appt because his dad mentioned he was terrified of what side effects might happen. The Dr. agreed with me and told dad that some kids even have a bad reaction to Benedryl. You just don't freak out about it and go looking for something to happen, you just know that if something bizzare happens, it will definitely stand out to you as a parent and you tell the Dr. about it. Duh!!!

Well, he e-mailed a like to me this morning about side effects and told me "These are things we need to look for and would need to tell Dr. Barnes about." Good grief. :sad2: I'm not a moron. He's going to eagerly ask me today if I read that, and I'm going to be mean and say, "no, but I've skimmed the info that came with the prescription, but common sense is all that's needed when a drug is taken."

Sorry, I'm mean, but I can't stand over-worrying.

Wow, you sure do see lots of concerts! That's cool! :goodvibes

OK, ignore my long mean post above.....I need to remind myself of the very bottom line of my signature. It seems I forgot that.

Ah Holly, but sometimes you just gotta vent!

And good morning to you too, Marilyn!

Time to cook breakfast and make another phone call.
