I'm back - did you miss me?(Thought you all say this so I would give it a go and see if anybody has!!!)




I have rushed throught the thread and am so happy to see you all chatting - any reason why you wait till I am gone?

I've been reading but haven't had much to post. There was a kid (rising 11th grader) at our high school killed today in a teenage car wreck at 1pm this afternoon. The car hit a tree and burst into flames. It is so very sad....

This is terible Lisa, so sad.

Ohhhhhh Marilyn... Take us with you!!! Nan's unemployed and has the time... Lisa wants to skip town... and Holly can give up her paper clip chain for just a few days... I want to go < Child pulling temper tantrum on the floor (ok... it's ME...)

That's a heap​

I've been reading everything, but haven't felt up to posting lately. I'm in kind of an energy slump, maybe due to the accident--I've been feeling very very tired this week and it's been an on-the-go week as well. I'm still really sore in my chest...I guess it's going to take longer than I thought for that to go away.

However, today I went for a massage and I really feel better this evening. I go to a woman who does Shiatsu and she's excellent! I wish I could just stay home and chill tomorrow but I have 2 birthday parties I want to go to--one in Flagstaff at 1:00 (a 90 min. drive) for a great nephew's first birthday, then another at 6:00 for a great niece's 6th birthday (about a 45 min. drive), then another 45 min. drive home.

I love my car! I'm getting 40 mpg so far, both in town and highway. It'll be interesting to see what my millage is tomorrow.

It's been raining off and on all day and right now it's in the 60s--glorious! This is the time of year that I'm just DONE with summer and heat. It's not over by a long shot, but these rainy cool days make it a little more bearable.

Next week is going to be pretty quiet (at least so far). I'm doing a scuba refresher course next Wed. and Sat. and the following Wed. (the 20th) I'm going to FL (Key Largo) to dive for 3 days and then to Key West for a couple of days to play. I'm looking forward to being under water and if I get any good pictures I'll post them.

Woody, sounds like you're getting ready to travel somewhere--hope you have fun!

Marilyn, Michelle, Holly, Kathe, Lisa, Ian, Deborah (and anyone else I missed), I'm enjoying your posts and look forward to reading what's going on each day. Hopefully my energy will be back up soon!

Cherie, sorry you are feeling low. I think an accident like you had must have after affects both physically and emotionally. Take time out when you can.

I'm glad we're giving Marilyn lots of chatter to read when she comes back after her weekend away! It will slow down a bit today though, after I leave. But I'll be taking my cute little Dell pda with me and can use that to take advantage of my mom's wireless internet tonight after the reunion.

It has been very busy whilst I have been away and has taken a while to scan through. Felt a bit like old times.

As Ian knows... I'm still waiting on a business trip to go through which will make life alot easier... and traveling too... Unfortunately timing is tight for California...but I still haven't given up hope... I'm also supposed to go for a weekend in Oct to FL and then in Dec..

Life is up in the air right now... just wish it would come down for a while so I can grab hold of it...

No... I couldn't talk them into it... They are saving up the time for 2009... (wow... what a rhyme....)

Because of the trip to California, we're saving up the time (and money) for 2009.

We're thinking of a week in February and staying at AKV and then doing a week before the September 2009 cruise.

Oh.. and Ian... this weeks History Detectives features the Block house here in the Stockade - which as the crow flies is only 1 1/2 miles from my house... (and it's usually the part of Schenectady that floods... )

That will be our televiewing tomorrow night. We never miss a week of the History Detectives.
