MERRY FEDERAL HOLIDAY!

Just finished eating tamales, and now started on the See's candies. Left over prime rib for dinner tonight. Since we did the family thing last night, V and I are getting ready to open our gifts that we saved for today. Opening gifts at 1:30 on Christmas.......I mean Federal Holiday Day, Tyler would go crazy if he had to wait for us!!!:rotfl2: Gotta go........V is getting really antsy!!!!!:lmao:
Whatever happened to having a little patience?????:confused3
:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Well, what the heck are you doing posting here? Let the wrapping paper fly! ;) I'm just glad Tyler didn't wake me at 3:30 or 4am this year! :scared1:

Just back from a great day. Andrew cooked a lovely Christmas dinner and we played with the girls on an off all day. Then once they had gone to their rooms tonight we played a board game - great fun.

Tomorrow we are off to our daughters which will be much more hectic, but we will have a good time also.

We will be ready for a rest on Saturday.:lmao:
Aw, glad it was a nice time, hopefully tomorrow will be nice too and not too crazy! :goodvibes

Merry Christmas!!

we had a nice time at the camping cabins at Ft. Wilderness. Patrick and I loved it, but it wasn't really Chuck's idea of a Disney vacation. He couldn't sleep very well. I got some fun pictures. You wouldn't believe the wild decorations at the RV campsites! Absolutely amazing!

Glad you and Patrick enjoyed your stay, sorry Chuck didn't. I hope you'll post pictures! :goodvibes

MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY FEDERAL HOLIDAY to all.

I just got back from spending time at AKL w/ Nan & company - had a grand time - lots of laughs :rotfl: and good food. We had a great chat out on the verandah too.

I did realize as I was driving home that Nan & I never had a pic of US taken. Can't believe I forgot to get one.

Love to all!

Greetings mere mortals.... (and Nan...)

Xmas in Jersey has been an experience... I will write more when I get home... (over the weekend) My computer time is getting judged as antisocial so I will have to communicate with the spirits at another time... :upsidedow

Merry Christmas Everyone.

Waiting for everyone to wake up now, very exciting since Santa came even though it was raining here cat and dogs here.

Did it rain there :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: It is absolutely, a serious Christmas killer

Ian & Sukie: Warm winter greetings on your restful day off work. Enjoy some quality time, snuggled up inside where it's warm!

Merry Christmas to everybody else!

I reminded Tyler not to get up if he wakes up when it's still dark, and he did well. He did get up about 5am, I heard him come into my room, he whispered "good morning" very quietly, and when I didn't move, I heard him climb back into his bed to either go back to sleep or wait, I don't know. ;) But he came and woke me about 7:30 and said, "MOM, Santa came! And I see a POLAR BEAR!" ;) http://www.wowwee.com/en/products/toys/plush/alive/cubs:polar-bear-cub He was out of his package, sitting in front of the presents with a giant green bow on his head. :goodvibes

The paper started flying, we had fun, etc. And then I realized TWO PRESENTS WERE MISSING! I'd wrapped them separately because they were just delivered yesterday, and I'd forgotten to get them from where they were hidden in my room! So when he wasn't looking, I told him I had to use the bathroom, and I quickly grabbed those gifts and put them in the hallway really close to the wall. I got him to believe that Santa left a couple there by mistake and he just didn't see them before because he was in a hurry to get to the presents under the tree. :rotfl2: I think he bought it, or he just didn't care, because it meant 2 more presents to open.

Then we had breakfast and went out to shovel. No snow this time, but tons of ice piled up at the end of my driveway. For some reason, the snowplow folks decided it would be a good idea to plow the slushy snow, so it all froze overnight into sort of an ice hill. Tyler came up with the idea of getting my metal garden shovel to break up the chunks and I was able to shovel them out with his little shovel. :thumbsup2

Then Tyler cleaned the living room so it looks just as nice as before he went to bed. Most of his presents, he just put in his bedroom closet, didn't even take many out of their packaging. At first I thought maybe he doesn't like them, but he told me he's just making room for Grandma and Aunt Dianna to bring more presents. :rotfl:

Off for a quick shower and to wait for my mom and aunt. They should be here in about 15 minutes.

It sounds like you had fun. We found my kids staring at the presents when we woke up. The didn't wake us up

The kids love the Wii...they said

Molly "The Wii is totally wicked can't wait to get home and play it"

Wilson "I got a picture of my go-kart and a Wii at home, I guess Xmas is really on Jan 5th this year"

nice boy huh????:rolleyes1 don't worry I rolled my eyes directly at him.

we are getting dressed and going to MK.

Monica will be joining us here ~ 3pm for dinner and family picture (she is an aunt right???)

see ya later

oh yeah, I almost forgot...

MERRY CHRISTMAS

You're a mean mom. I can't believe it surprised you that a boy was sad that he couldn't play his video game ;) I mean what is a Disney Cruise anyway :lmao:

....and did you find some Johnnys Au Jus?????

Yes and we bought it and we should have used it. This roast made THE most drippings I have ever seen. I skimmed about a cup of drippings and some of the guests still thought it was too fatty.....I liked it though :rolleyes1

Fatty au jus SUCKS!!!!

Didnt you give her the cooking instructions???

Yes and we cooked it at 300 instead of 325. We also took it out 5 degrees earlier :confused3 I think they were shooting for medium but with a rib roast you need medium rare.

Fatty au jus SUCKS!!!!

It didn't when I was eating out of the spoon :lmao: I thought it didn't have enough flavor when I ate with the meat. You can't be perfect every time ;) I guess we'll use your aju next time.
