It is about 4:20 am...

The tree is done.

Not my best version... I usually do a very nice old fashioned type of tree... but most of the decorations stayed boxed up.

I do have to spray around it with static guard... the tinsel wants to stick to everything.

I'm going to go and get some sleep and start this all over again... fun stuff...

You will feel a bit better now the tree is done.

Hope you do get to manage a little sleep Michelle.

ok, that's it, no more I was on a roll but I can't find any more

I just have to pack up Molly and Willie from the couch to the suitcases and magically express tag all our stuff.

Having a pizza boarding pass party here tomorrow night with my nephews. It's easier to print them all up here and know for sure that they have them in hand and not worry the next day when we are all flying.

I'm also taking the kids to the doctor in the morning, Molly has a stuffed up nose and Willie complained of ears hurting on friday so better safe than sorry. Both of the kids have a history with fluid in their ears, so I want to be safe for the flight.

Other than that, I've got no other plans for the day.

What is everyone else up to this week of Xmas????

WOW I just saw what time it was. I'm on my migraine meds and they have caffine in them, so I'm up way too late and wide awake

Anybody have a receipe for a egg/breakfast dish? Peg's making lasagna for Christmas dinner and I want to provide breakfast. Looking for some kind of crustless quiche or something. If forced I'll do some kind of tasty omlette, but I'd like to find something a little different.

Water

Place eggs in water. Bring to a boil. Boil for 10 minutes.

If I want a 'hot' boiled egg I only bring to boil and then simmer for 3-4 mins!!! Just right for set whites and slightly soft yolk!!!

Hard boiled eggs to eat cold I simmer for about 6 mins then turn off the heat and leave for 6 mins, then plunge into cold water.

I am now at work.

It is -3F this morning, and the wind-chill is -20F.

It was an adventure leaving the house today and was most excited about the thought of waiting for a bus. I even put on long underwear in eager anticipation.

I was so bundled up that I looked like Randy in "A Christmas Story." If I had fallen over, I wouldn't have been able to get up.

Luckily the bus came in about 2 minutes.

I was bit earlier to work today, but the streets are dead. It looks more like a Sunday out there than a Monday. I suppose a lot of people are taking the week off.

After today, I am more or less alone here.

Looking at the weather forecast, it looks like it will be an exciting week:

Tonight - snow
Tuesday - snow
Wednesday - snow
Thursday - snow
Friday - 40F

I had a great catch-up breakfast with Jackie on Sat. I've done a little reading here and there and have a bit of an idea of what's going on with everyone. to those who need them and a very MERRY CHRISTMAS to everyone celebrating this week.

I'm hoping to get my DIS friends' cards out today! Thanks to everyone who has sent me one! Mine may not get to you before Xmas but that doesn't diminish the love that they contain!

Everyone has family crisis and it appears that I'm getting my share now. It's not really a surprise. My heart is very heavy today. Don't have the inclination nor the energy to go into it any more than that for now. Prayers would be appreciated.

Better sharpen my pencil and get to work!

The other night we bought a tiny Charlie Brown Xmas tree (in a box) at Barnes and Noble, that will be our tree all 1.5" of it and the Wii in miniture size will be under it from Santa. Game Stop sells mini Wii boxes as gift card containers. inside the box we put the mini copied pictures of the games we got them. Too cute if I do say so myself...

Its been a busy weekend here. Did a bunch of Christmas baking, laundry and tidying up. Its still cold here. Yesterday was -18F when I headed out to drop Shaelyn at a birthday party. Its warmed up some today and is up to -4F now

And here's one of Kaleigh at her daycare Christmas party last Thursday. Santa and MrsClaus were great talking to each kid.

What is snowman soup?

One package of hot chocolate mix in a mug, add hot water, drop a Hershey kiss in, add a handful of miniature marshmallows, and stir. So it's basically just hot chocolate with a Hershey kiss added, with marshmallows on top, but Tyler received a cute snowman mug with enough ingredients for 2, it had a cute poem about it, and the mug has a spoon attached that you can remove for stirring. It was cute, so we continued doing it with our own ingredients. You can also stir it with a candy cane.

My body is creaking and moaning today, from all the rounds of shoveling I'm sure. I'll need to shovel again later this evening because it's snowing pretty heavily. And TOMORROW we have a big storm coming, so I won't be driving out of town to visit with my brother who's up from Tennessee.
