::yes:: of course

it is 1 and 1/2 inches. The Wii will tower over it, I'd say it's about 3". should be cute....I can't wait to see what Willie says. Of course knowing him it will be snarky, like "what good is a Wii when we have to go on a dumb cruise for a whole week" "can't I just go home now???" okay, really I bet ya he'll say something like that...

It's just like we're there with you!!!

I can't wait to hear what he actually does say.
:rolleyes1

Deb... I asked... actually I asked if he could come and shovel my snow.. he told me he really wanted to, but his mother had other things for him to do... they got 1/2 inch of snow last week or so in TX and he was amazed!!!

How old is he Michelle? Was it the first time he ever saw snow? I'm sure it was memorable for him. That's so cool.

First off, I could hear you wispering about me...I'm not gone yet :rotfl2: We fly to WDW on Tuesday am, then Magic on next Saturday.

I have friends on the MAGIC right now and if you were there too I was going to try to figure out how you could recognize each other but you will be ships passing in the night instead.....:rotfl2:.....

Good idea :thumbsup2 I printed an 8x10 for free from walgreens last night and I have a scrapbook of his IKF races in progress, he is getting that for sure. We keep talking about no more gifts, but he is a kid and I'm not sure he can handle the emotion of being disappointed on that day. Most of the time Wil acts so grown up and mature, but every now and then he is the 8 year old little boy again...I have to remember that and be paitent and kind during these times and grateful for the others.
Can he get the scrapbook one page at a time? ;)

ok, I'm here. I just realized that I have to bring my laptop or no DISing for me, it's too hard on the iPhone. I'll have to think this over I really didn't want to carry it, but I'd miss you :sad1: and no one in my family wants to talk to me in the middle of the night :scared1:
They won't :confused3 What is wrong with them?
You know we will ::yes::
I guess that is family for you, family will listen while kin will sleep.

Jan :rotfl:

Think I'll ever get out???

This was yesterday... Yes, mom uses a dust pan to clean off her car...

Snow looks familiar. Lots of winters like that!! I kept asking God if He would move me to Florida. I think He thought Indy was far enough south :rotfl:

It is warmer, but it is the ice belt. :scared1: And there are idiot drivers here too. Note the tag I gave myself about them.....

Does the dust pan scratch the paint? or does Barb use it only on the windows? Great idea!!

Jan :santa:

Its been a busy weekend here. Did a bunch of Christmas baking, laundry and tidying up. Its still cold here. Yesterday was -18F when I headed out to drop Shaelyn at a birthday party. Its warmed up some today and is up to -4F now :cool1: :cool1:

Here's a pic of the girls when we were decorating the tree last week:

I enjoyed reading all the updates from everybody over the last 2 days.

Michelle, I giggled at the picture of your mom and the dustpan. I've never thought of using the dustpan, but Ken says he's seen people doing it. And have you got that tree done yet? :confused3

Ian - sorry your day was so crappy. Do you have WW meetings next Sunday too?

Jan - thanks for the pipe suggestion, but there's no way to get at them without ripping down the drywall

Deb - I'd be very ticked off and that mess your vehicles were in when you came home. Hopefully you can get it fixed fast, or tell the kid to get out there and shovel.

I know I was going to comment on more things, but I'm doing the yawn and head bob here, so its time to give up on getting the laundry changed again, and just get to bed. So hello to everybody! and good night.

Great Photos :goodvibes:
Thanks for sharing!

I tried to take pictures outside, but didn't get my camera out quick enough. The snow is almost up to Tyler's behind. And somehow this didn't surprise me, but he managed to find a use for my broken shovel. He was using the handle to break up the hard chunks thrown by the snowplow, then he was on his knees, pushing the shovel part like a snowplow (in fact, he was pretending to be a snowplow). ;)

After about 15 minutes, he gave up and went inside. Neither of us has ever heard the wind roar like this and if it freaked me out, I'm sure he was quite alarmed too. It sounds like what they say a tornado sounds like. Unbelievable! It's so loud, we had to shout to hear each other. Watching the snow blow and swirl through the air looked like a sandstorm, according to Tyler. I've never seen anything like this. If this continues, there will definitely be a snow day tomorrow.

So after Tyler went in, he poked his head out the door a bit later to yell at me, asking if we could have snowman soup when I got done. :goodvibes I stopped, only 1/2 way done, needing a break, and we had our snowman soup while I fixed a very late lunch. Then when I gave him his lunch, I told him I was going to go finish the driveway while he ate. I came inside to find his lunch all gone and him asleep on the couch! So I'm going to follow his lead and take a nap myself! We seem to do this every Sunday, and it's so nice! ;)

What is snowman soup?
:confused3

Thanks Deb... I just don't want to start crying at some inopportune moment... like... say... when my brothers are around????

Would that be so awful? I am the only one who cried at my Dad's memorial service. No one minded. No one asked why I cried either. It was because the pastor did a bad job--but they must have assumed it was because he was gone.

 hugs to you!!

.......
Did I tell ya what we are doing for the Wii from Santa?????

okay, didn't think so.

The other night we bought a tiny Charlie Brown Xmas tree (in a box) at Barnes and Noble, that will be our tree all 1.5" of it and the Wii in miniture size will be under it from Santa. Game Stop sells mini Wii boxes as gift card containers. inside the box we put the mini copied pictures of the games we got them. Too cute if I do say so myself...:yay:

okay off to pack the stockings.

See ya all tomorrow night.

::yes:: VERY CLEVER !! :thumbsup2

Lots of quotes today - bear with me!!!

I had a pretty crappy day.

It was -3F when I left for WW this morning.

The woman who is my receptionist on Sundays and I expected the numbers to be down, and they were. I mean, it's the Sunday before Christmas, many people have started to head home for the holidays, and those who are staying in town, who wants to get out of bed on a Sunday morning when it is so cold?

Oddly enough, the largest meeting was the 8AM meeting, at about 20 people. It was downhill from there

My 9:30AM had about 12 people.

At 10:55 AM, 5 minutes before the start of the 11 AM meeting, the place was empty. My receptionist and I were talking about what the procedure was if no one showed up.

Then 3 people walked in.

I started the meeting at 11AM. At 11:10 AM it was like a bus pulled up! Not a ton of people, but enough to cause a line.

One guy came into the meeting room and wanted to know if I was going to start weighing people. I said, "No, the meeting has started."

I felt it just wasn't right or fair to the people who show up on time, for me to leave them sitting there and bump them for people who had come late. That's not our policy anyway.

It was an incredibly difficult meeting. No matter what I did, nobody would talk. It was stone silence. The other two meetings had been good meetings with lots of discussion.

The angry guy then stomped out of the meeting saying something like, "This is ridiculous."

I wanted to say, "What the ---- do you want me to do about you're coming here late?" (And no, he lives walking distance away, so being late was not due to car trouble).

It made the whole morning just terrible, plus it made me really mad.

I then came home and Sukie was in a fussy mood (maybe he needed a juice box) because he was feeling house-bound. I suggested we go out, but we couldn't because there was a car stuck in the alley behind our house.

It was just a horrible day, where there was no pleasing anyone.

Needless to say, I am not necessarily the most patient person in the world. Especially when it comes to other people having tantrums.

On the bright side, it is supposed to warm up to 30F tomorrow.

That's 33 degrees warmer than it is right now.

Sorry you had such a bad Sunday. Sounds like you are a great WW leader - shame some miserable people don't respect that.

OH MY GOSH, I'M SOOOO PISSED OFF.

You all might remember me trying to see if my family would be willing to do our Christmas get-together an alternate day so I wouldn't have to rush Tyler through our Christmas at home and then jump in the car to head out of town to do it all over again with them that same day. Well, nobody responded to that e-mail or would even discuss it at Thanksgiving. Except my brother Mike in Tennessee. He e-mailed me back and told me he doesn't care what we do, but hopes to see us at some point while he's in town for Christmas.

Well, my dad told me a couple weeks ago that MIke would be coming to their house Saturday night (last night) and would be leaving Christmas Eve. I told my dad, "Well, I'll be bummed out if we miss seeing him, so I can try to bring Tyler on Sunday for a visit. BUT that's the day I'd already planned on doing Christmas with my mom and her sister, so maybe I can come to your house after they leave mine or before they get there, I'll let you know as soon as I find out the timing."

Well, I never heard from my mom because of my stupid phone charger, and I don't think she's even read my e-mail from yesterday asking if she was still coming today, because if I heard from her that she wasn't coming today, I'd take Tyler to my dad's to visit my brother. BUT that's before I saw the weather today. No way would I have driven on the highway with 40mph wind gusts, blowing snow creating almost no visibility.

My stepmom e-mailed me this yesterday:
Dad tried to call and tell you Christmas will be about 2 at Jodi's. Mike will be here about 10pm tonight..

So when she says "Christmas will be about 2", I'm assuming they mean on Christmas Day, since nobody bothered to respond about whether anybody would be willing to do an alternate day or not.

Then, I just received this e-mail from my stepmom:
Hey where were you guys today? We waited till 4:30 to open gifts and than we all were worried as to where you were. I was glad to get home and find your e-mail. I know the weather wasen't the best today. When will we be able to get you your gifts?

:headache: :headache: :headache: :headache:

Oh, how maddening and upsetting Holly.

This made me laugh so hard, I had to share with John too and we both got a chuckle. Because that's what we would really love to do with him.

Tom did good. He had an interview with FYE at the mall selling movies and music. He got the job and he starts part time next week. We're real happy for him and very proud.

Well done Tom.:thumbsup2

Ya know Holly, that was the worst part. We had such a nice time at Tristan's graduation and then we came home to a mess. We can't trust him to make the right decisions if there's snow on the ground. How foolish is that. We live with snow every winter and we've been in this house for nine years. This is nothing new.

When they put the brake fluid into the truck today they found a leak in the lines. The truck can't be driven at all until it's fixed and we have lots of snow coming our way. If we don't have the truck, then we have to walk up the driveway in the snow. It's aweful. We have to get it fixed immediately and we don't need the additional expense on top of already having to buy another car right now.

It's Christmas and we were just out of town. Also we have Tom here now. It's costing us more money until he gets set up with his job and can help buy some groceries, he eats a lot and we pay for his lunches at school and drive him all over the place to friends and the mall, etc., and the lawyer expense. So we have had many additional expenses this month. The budget is about to bust! We don't get Christmas bonuses. We have to suck it in and bite the bullet.

Oh, I hope you get the truck mended in time Deb. I didn't realise you wouldn't be getting some financial help from Tom's parents. That is tough on you, though I understand why you are doing this. You are great grandparents.:grouphug:

Who has a very odd little master.

OMG! Did I say that outloud???? :lmao: :lmao:

.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Deb, The "kid" who exactly are his parents? I think you said he works....could NOT have someone like him living in my home.....You must be an angel....

She is.

:wave2: Off to look at Christmas lights in the neighborhood that goes all out. Disneyland was fun yesterday. Lurk constantly so keep the chit chat coming!!! Pretty slow with out my cupcake on here!!!(HI Gay!!!). Maybe V will post pics of our weekend.

Well hi to you. You should post more, we miss you.

I read this and thought your cupcake (V) was gone somewhere and I thought where, where is V did she go and see Gaylean??? What did I miss....okay I reread and understand your cupcake IS Gaylean....

and nice to see ya stranger :flower3:

::yes:: I was thinking that same thought...that and how can a preacher's wife get away with such crimes :rotfl2:

okay almost all packed. We are going to stuff stockings now and pack 'em up. It will be really nice to get the Xmas Eve stuff done in advance then we can just totally enjoy being with family.

Did I tell ya what we are doing for the Wii from Santa?????

Great idea with the miniature Wii. You are almost there now!

So Tom has a new girlfriend and her name is Emily. He and Deanna broke up after two years.

Emily was here today to help Tom decorate the Christmas tree. It looks very nice and I was just glad that I didn't have to do it.

That was quick changing girlfriends. Seems you only just said how lovely Deanna was!! Ah, youth!!!:lmao:

love her (she was worth the wait to see too) :lovestruc

I will catch up with everyone tomorrow...

It is about 4:20 am...

The tree is done.

Not my best version... I usually do a very nice old fashioned type of tree... but most of the decorations stayed boxed up.

I do have to spray around it with static guard... the tinsel wants to stick to everything.

I'm going to go and get some sleep and start this all over again... fun stuff...

NAN...

GO TO BED!!!!

(says the one on the east coast...:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:)

Oh... and Morning Marilyn... :flower3:

& Deborah... :hippie:

And everyone else... :grouphug:

the stockings are packed in the suitcases with care
in hopes that we can soon be at WDW by air

ok, that's it, no more I was on a roll but I can't find any more

I just have to pack up Molly and Willie from the couch to the suitcases and magically express tag all our stuff.

Having a pizza boarding pass party here tomorrow night with my nephews. It's easier to print them all up here and know for sure that they have them in hand and not worry the next day when we are all flying.

I'm also taking the kids to the doctor in the morning, Molly has a stuffed up nose and Willie complained of ears hurting on friday so better safe than sorry. Both of the kids have a history with fluid in their ears, so I want to be safe for the flight.

Other than that, I've got no other plans for the day.

What is everyone else up to this week of Xmas????

WOW I just saw what time it was. I'm on my migraine meds and they have caffine in them, so I'm up way too late and wide awake

Hi Marilyn & Hi Deborah :flower3:

My son is home :cool1: :cool1: Michelle and Holly, I'm getting about the same weather as you are! More snow coming down most of the day, and the wind...brrrrrrrrrr. Brian's flight was over two hours late, but at least he made it home safe and sound. We're having a late dinner, should be ready in a few minutes. Brian's sound asleep on the couch...what a wonderful sight, I'm so glad to have him home :goodvibes

Kathe

Oh I am pleased for you to have him for Xmas
