Calling all Champagne Girls....our feather boas arrived today. They are hot pink, not light pink to match the tiaras. I did this on purpose. The light pink colored boas didn't match the tiara exactly either so I went for a more extreme contrast. It'll look just fine.

No news yet from my cousin. I'm still sitting on pins and needles.

Tom has officially been here one week and he has gotten back into school, gotten his PA driving permit and has a job interview at the mall scheduled for Thursday. I think he has done a lot in a week and I'm so proud of him. We got the custody papers from the lawyer today. Just have to sign them and write a check. It only costs $150 and a signature to give away your kids....in case anyone is interested.....just kidding.

The best part....is that I'm proud of me too.....one week and not even one slip up with the smoking. YEAH! I'm ready to hit my one year mark on New Years Eve. That will feel good and lock it in for me. Thank you all for helping me get there.

When will it be? Maybe V and I can get together and have our own champagne tasting at the same time

I'm proud of you too, Deb. This month marks the 13th year since Bubba and I quit smoking. I know that it can be done and you are doing GREAT. Before you know it, it will be 2 years, the 3 and the 5 then 10 and by then you will not even remember what it was like to be a smoker.

I was going to say "Dang you're old. You were old enough to smoke 13 years ago." And then I remembered that Jon and I would be married 12 years this NYE

Well it didn't die in my mind. I wasn't making a list or anything but I think most people liked the idea of February more. Please everyone, correct me if I'm wrong and we can pick a date. If I remember correctly you guys had a spring recess didn't you?

No I never cheated. I don't think Bubba has either. I looked at it like this...if I had cheated, then I could not say that I had quit.

We only have a tentative date picked out so far....it's too soon to tell if DCL will approve it or not. So we have to wait and see. But I will definitely send you and V and Bubba a boa and tiara if you get together and drink some champagne with us. We'll take pictures and post on here so you can see. You can post your pics on here too and then we can share.

I'm impatiently waiting for the 4th book from the audio library. It's making me crazy! I should have it before Xmas. Please send me the link of where the Edward story is located because my sister has finished them. I was shocked at hot romantic the 3rd book was! I heard about the Edward stories and am dying to read it.

My co-worker said she read somewhere that it involves DVC and financial incentives because of the economy.

Latest rumor is that it is a kids cruise free for 1st half of 2009 deal. BUT that is still rumor, even thouga webmaster mentioned it. We'll know soon.

I'm hoping for a free WDW day(s) adjacent to your cruise.

I am long last home!

Just relaxing a bit before I go eat dinner and collapse for the evening.

Horrible weather. It was POURING this morning and now, this evening, snow showers. The walk home from the train --- yuck!

Oh, and our governor was arrested. Just a normal day in Illinois.

And he seemed so nice on the summer evenings when he jogged past our house (no fooling, our street was on his route for his nightly run. He'd always wave at us.)

Sukie is currently glued to the news.

Well, it rained all day long today, really crappy weather. So of course Tyler didn't get to go outside and play for the usual 3 recesses at school, so I took him straight to Chuck E. Cheese after school for some crazy fun! We had a blast playing the 2-player games and other stuff. Fun way to unwind and weeknights aren't very busy there, especially since we got there at 4pm, so most parents were still at work.

After that we had a bit of shopping to do, then home to bed and he was sound asleep by 7:30 again. Laundry time for me now, dishes, and Christmas cards. Oh, I also need to get my pictures off my computer. It's acting up again, a new problem. Just when I get used to one problem, another one gets added. It's dying a slow death, but I'm using it until the bitter end. Now it just gets too hot and shuts off after a very short time, so this might truly be the end. BUT....I saw the cutest little laptop in the world at Target for only $299! I can't remember the brand, but I absolutely love it and it WILL BE MINE possibly next Monday. Tyler really, really wants Santa to bring him a computer for Christmas, and that was just out of the question since mine desperately needs to be replaced. SO, with the price of the cute tiny one I saw today, Santa just might be able to come through on that for Tyler. It will be good for practicing on a website the school uses. I think it's www.starfall.com. And there are so many different computer games available to help with his learning.

OK, I think I'm gone for the night. I have some ice cream in the freezer calling my name. As soon as it's gone though, I plan on finally trying to get myself started back up at the gym. I have a lifetime membership that is just being wasted with my laziness and lack of motivation. I think that motivation is slowly coming back, especially since I realized I regained 25 pounds!

GREAT news! Felt bad about the need to drive him in today, but must admit that I chuckled at the picture in my head of him jumping up & down w/ arms waving all about trying to get the bus driver to stop

That sounds like a really loud cruise I liked the fact that we didn't have that many kids on our cruise.

I know I should not be spending $ on frivolous (don't count off for spelling, please) things....but....I'm really tempted to go spend 1 (or 2) nights at WDW (to include Christmas night). Talk me out of this people, please!!
