Just got back from driving Tom to school. He was supposed to be on the bus today and was outside flagging the lady down, but she just went right past him. So at 6:30 am on a cold and wintry day I got up and dressed and went out to drive him. I understand that he's new to her route, but she was supposed to be informed yesterday when all his paperwork went through. I called them twice yesterday to confirm. Then he's out there waving his arms and flagging her down for her to just zoom past him. Any more early mornings like this for me and this is going to kill me.

Oh dear, always something like that, I hope she stop for him tom??

Michelle, prayers and thoughs are with you and your family today. I hope you get some good news.

I got a call last night from my cousin that my favorite uncle Teddy was going in for emergency surgery. He has a tracheotomy that they didn't want to do surgery on to close because he was high risk. So now it started bleeding and they think it punctured an artery. Now they have to do emergency surgery. They were scoping him and getting ready to prep him for surgery when my cousin called last night. No word since then. I'm on pins and needles. I just can't be there right now, but I want to be. I hope all goes well and he pulls through it. I hope they call me soon to let me know what's going on.

I send my prayer to you for him....

Oh dear I missed few pages so I will have look back ward as I am busy now rush to post office, last mins shopping for things to do in house, flushing in toilet not working sound loud (fart)...... got spare things for it....

Now I am off to work for Xmas buffet before I start work today.

Phew..... rush rush rush... huh.....

Looking for good reading book recommendations....can anyone help?

You caught me in the middle of RE-reading Twilight. Well, I was out of books and it was just sitting there.... I read it about a year ago and then read books 2-4 last month. THEN saw the movie twice. I figure if I run into any teenage girls I'll have something to talk about!

DCL announcement. I like the speculation about offering free or discounted land options pre/post cruise days at WDW. AND free DCL bus transfers. A discounted stay WDW could bring in some money (food/shopping) from the folks who normally just stay at the Hyatt or Cocoa Beach. I know if they did something like this I would for sure add WDW days to my Tortola cruise.

Need to finish The Shack (stopped cuz of what happened w/ Raizin and was emotional enough). Also reading Whitehorn Woods by Maeve Binchy (not liking it too much).

Just finished Danielle Steel's newest The Rogue and have Mary Higgins Clark's I heard that song before, and Janine Latus' If I am missing or dead to go (may take me 1 week). Will need recommendations after that.

We have read The Shack. An amazing book. Must read it again.

Can't recommend more I'm afraid.

Just a quick check-in to say "hi" to everyone! It's so "wonder"ful being here on the ship! We're in a Cat. 5 and the verandah is great! We got off the ship today, decided to do a 2 hr. tour of the island with a cab driver ($20@ for 3 of us). It was very nice and now I feel like I've really seen Nassau and know a little bit about it. The weather was beautiful during the day; of course the sun goes down so early, it was nearly dark by 5:30. I've never been in the Caribbean at any other time than summer, it's nice not to be HOT and sweaty! They were playing Xmas carols, Bahamian-style, in all the shops we went to and there are Xmas decorations up. Of course the ship looks beautiful, big tree in the atrium, etc. Time to go see "Toy Story" and then come back and get dressed up for dinner.

I keep expecting to see all of you in the hall, by the pool, at the Cove Cafe, in the WD Theater!!!....

I'm serious, you guys, does anyone ever get used to this And what do you do if you have kids? Bundle them up to walk from the house to the car, only to take it off so you can put them in their car seats?

I received the following, extremely odd email today:

"Hi all,

We are in the south Atlantic about 500 miles from the Falkland Islands! This is very interesting!! Lectures each day on sea birds, geology, nature of the Falklands and Antarctica, etc - very cool. Sea has been calm but now a bit choppy (not so cool).

Tomorrow we will disembark at the Falklands and the next day on Antarctica.

Hope all is well. Really just sending this so that you know that we can access our internet (most of the time).

My mother died in 1995. Now I come to find out that after that she's decided to start taking cruises, and near Antarctica to boot!

Go figure. She never mentioned ocean travel.

My father died in 2003. I wonder if he decided to stay put, or go traveling like my mother.

And no - this was not a fake email. I was a very real email sent to me.

I don't think she knows her kid's email address.

I did reply to the email.

SPOOKY. I know I would be spooked if anyone ever emailed me accidentally saying they were my mom. I don't think anyone spells my name the way my mom did.

Sorry, I only read self help books. I'm REALLY trying to get better. They never work. Maybe I'll ask for a good novel for Christmas. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Of course you get used to it. Yup, Tyler takes his coat off in the car, but that's only because he gets hot like me and hates that confined feeling like me too. We only bundle up if we're going to be shoveling or building a snowman, or sledding. Just going to an from places, it's as simple as putting on a coat. Not a big deal.

Yes you get used to it and you bundle up as needed and don't unbundle in the car. It takes a while for the car to warm up inside. Kaleigh wears her coat, hat and mitts for the drive to daycare and Shaelyn just wears her coat. Many people around here were hats and gloves (steering wheels are cold!) When its around -25 C(-13F) then the cold starts to get annoying. It really does suck when the inside of your nose freezes as you breath When I was a kid, my mom's diesel car didn't produce enough heat to really warm up, so when we'd go for long drives in winter, we had blanket over our legs and an ice scraper to scrape the inside of the windows in the back, so we could still see out. It made the 9hr drive to my aunts seem to take forever.

I'll have to come on tonight and post the final pics of the kitchen. I got home from shopping after work last night and Ken & the girls had already done the dishes and set the table and had dinner almost ready It was so nice to eat at the table again!

Now my coffee break is over and I must get back to work I must do Christmas cards this week, so people will actually get them before Christmas.
