Good Morning All Holiday Shoppers (and Nan)!

I will be leaving shortly to lead my 3 WW meetings. I wish I could have slept in today.

This afternoon I have to write performance evaluations. I should have done those on Tuesday and Wednesday, so I guess today is the day to pay the piper for my sitting and doing nothing since Friday (though I needed the rest).

It seems like everyone is starting to get ready for Christmas.

From what you can see at Eastwood Manor, you would never even know there's a holiday in December.

Have a fun day out Ian. You'll probably get caught in the snow. I know that it started here already. Weatherdog just brought her ball in the house from outside.....she uses her doggy door to go in and out to her pen anytime she wants. Her ball was covered in snow. It has started here. It must be snowing in Chicago too.

Holly, do you have snow also? Michelle how about you? I think they said we were supposed to get 3-6 inches. Well it is after Thanksgiving now and tomorrow will be December, so it's time for snow.

Today I am cleaning the house and want tidy up before Xmas coming also 12 people will be here for Xmas so throw out stuff which lying which I never used it.

Washing all the sheet and covering and ready for them for Xmas times.

About xmas parties, I know bad economics here nowaday and I just bought Olivia and Keith's new clothes for the parties. Now, they might be wearing for school xmas party!!

Now two kids are gone home so we get on cleaning the house also in law are coming for meals and discuss for Keith's high School.

Wow Deborah you really are doing your Christmas cleaning and getting ready for having lots of guests over to the house. That will be so nice.

How was the weekend with the two other kids? Did Olivia and Keith like having them there? How old were they? Are you glad that they have left now? I hope you all had a good time together.

See below I put all Xmas logos now as tomorrow will be 1st Dec ::yes::

Cannot believe that times had been flied quickly since our Cruise last May.

Your signature looks so fun Deb....very festive!

We just passed the six month mark of being back from our cruise together. A lot has happened since then. I'm so glad a good group of us are still here with each other every day. It's good to stay in touch and to share lives.

Christmas will be fun this year....sorry Ian. Do you get tired of all the talk that will go on this month?

Do you have anything special planned for New Year's eve?

HI EVERYBODY!!!!

I hope everyone's Thanksgiving was great, and we are on the countdown to Christmas!

We had a very strange Thanksgiving this year.....I worked from 12 to 6, which wasn't a problem at all, since we didn't plan to have a big meal, or go to anyone's house for dinner anyway.

But, when Patrick called my mom that morning, she said she was very ill and was upset and wanted to come to our house. Her blood pressure was 220/120 that morning. and several other days last week. It's a 2 hour drive, but she thought she'd be ok to drive. Well, she WAS ok, but when I got home, Chuck had supper going....baked potatoes and chili. Mom was acting very strange. She was having trouble talking, and kept repeating herself over and over. Then, she wanted to go to bed at 7:30, but she wasn't happy with the TV we put in her room, she wanted the one that is usually there! We dont' even know which one she was talking about.

Anyway, she seemed ok in the morning and we went out for a drive. But when we put up our Christmas tree, she started complaining that it was so small, and she wanted to know what happened to our regular tree. This IS THE SAME tree we've had for years......I am realy worried about her.

She was fine all day, but yesterday morning she got real weird again! Suddenly, she decided that she HAD to leave RIGHT NOW to go home. Her blood pressure was up again. I wouldn't let her go and made her wait for an hour. She was fine when she got home.

I am actually glad we are going to Fort Wilderness for 4 days before Christmas, maybe she'll stay home and have Christmas with her sister!

That's all from me right now. I did take a bunch of photo's at Beach Club, but I didn't get them over to Photobucket yet to post on the DISboard. Mayb e tonight!

I am off to work now. It's supposed to be rainy and stormy today. I hope my cruisers are ok. :flower3:

Has she gone to the drs lately for her blood pressure? When is she supposed to be coming to the Good Samaritan Village (or has that not been decided yet)? I know it'll be something less to worry about if she didn't have to drive so far.

Have a good day at work.

No snow yet Deb. The storm we're getting here is different than the system you have. Must be, because ours is on its way from the southwest, so it will hit Chicago before I see it, should already have started in Chicago because it's supposed to start here at noon. The prediction has changed now to 8 inches overnight. Definitely schools will be closed. So I guess the way I'll break the news to my office manager in the morning is to tell her, "Bad new, Tyler has no school. Good news, I can still come to work if he comes with me." We'll see if that works. If I set him up in the library or an empty office with our portable DVD player, and some coloring stuff, he'll be content for a few hours, especially if I have lunch delivered. He'll think that's pretty cool. :thumbsup2 Fingers crossed that she lets me do that!

I think that'd be a good solution :thumbsup2 (insert finger crossing smiley here) :rotfl:

Well, we made it home from the grocery store just as the storm started, but then I remembered I'd forgotten to buy salt for the sidewalks and to return a dvd due today. I certainly didn't want to wait until later in case it gets nasty out, so we brought the groceries in from the car, put the freezer stuff away and headed back out. In that short time that we were home, probably only 5 minutes at most, my tire tracks in the driveway were covered already.

Did our quick run to the video store and the hardware store for salt, then came home for some nice, hot pizza for lunch. :cloud9: Ate lunch while watching the snow fall, and watching Indiana Jones (Temple of Doom). Tyler fell asleep not too long after eating, so I think I'm going to catch a nap too while he is. I LOVE Sunday naps! It's our 2nd Sunday in a row having a long nap! He never naps anymore, so I'm thinking he's in the middle of a growth spurt.

It's amazing how fast the snow is coming down! Very pretty to watch from inside. If it keeps up at this pace, we might be able to make a snowman TODAY! :goodvibes

Talk about ignorance is bliss ... I didn't look at the weather report when I left this morning. I thought it was going to be a nice day. When I left WW to come home it had started sleeting. We're supposed to get between 6 and 8 inches of snow tonight!

Borrowed from POTD thread--as I try to recreate my P.C. album. Michelle, do you remember which lock this was? :confused3
Jan

And here's one more... I DID reach out and touch Panama... ;) and before I get yelled at... I touched it on top very quickly and then yanked my hand back... (ok Jan!!! :upsidedow )

.....When he told Santa his list, Santa asked, "Can I bring you some of that stuff this year and some next year? Because that's a big list!" :rotfl2: Tyler was fine with that. :thumbsup2 His list included camoflage pajamas and camoflage shirts. Santa said, "Well, then nobody would be able to see you because I see you already have camoflage shoes and coat!" ;)

Smart and funny Santa :santa:

Last year I got the front door mickey wreath and the mickey head card holder. Each year I add a little more until all my Christmas decorations will be Mickey. There's just something about the mouse and christmas....both are very happy times and they just go together.:hippie:
