You'll have to find us first

I JUST saw your PM to me...don't know why I didn't get a notification.

Yes, we are still booked for the Baltic and probably won't release the reservation until we have rates/dates for other lines (which may not be till March). Have you had Monica remove you from the reservation? She'll need to do that so you can get your deposit back or apply it to your other reservation. I'm 99.9% sure I will not do DCL for this itinerary, as I am definately doing the WTBA. But I hopefully can join Monica on another line instead. I'm keeping my options open as long as possible....allowing 'the universe' to bestow lots of $$$ on me. ;)

Relaxed <-------------- Ian

What an new an usual and novel feeling. I am going to shut down in a moment and head to the train station.

I'm working at home tomorrow, cooking and writing performance reviews. I'll be working at home on Wednesday too, but my company is only open half a day on Wednesday anyway.

Hey Kathe! Good to see you.

How has the weather been up there to the north?

 I'm sure I've already stated...snow, snow, cold and more snow:headache: :lmao: Today we had wet snow, tomorrow will be a mix of rain and snow. I'm cranky and being a pain, is that the same as being cranky and in pain :confused3 ;)

Good Morning All (and Nan)!

Another week ahead. Today is the only day this week I will be in the office. I'll be working at home on Tuesday and Wednesday, so working and cooking. My company is closing early on Wednesday, so it is only a half day.

I was really tired yesterday after my WW meetings and did not feel like being on line.

For some reason, the meetings were really hard on me and my back hurt from standing from 6:30 AM until 1:00 PM. By the time I got home, I only had energy for a bit of cooking and some complete down time. I couldn't even face a keyboard.

Ian, get rested and feel better! You have a busy few days ahead of you!

Well, we're going to have our first blast of bad winter road conditions today. So far we haven't had more than a dusting of snow, not even enough to make a snowball and it melts the next day. Today the weather report on the way to work said by this afternoon the driving conditions will be dangerous. Freezing rain will come first and then it will turn to snow which will cover the frozen roads. Budget cuts in the State have affected snow plows and salt trucks, so we can't rely on them this year we've been told. Yikes!

Oh, I hate the freezing rain Holly. Take care and keep safe

Kathe

Thanks, yes, we could but it would hardly justify to have someone come in just to help take him to the bathroom every few hours ( or every 1/2 hour, depending)

Today we went to the Foot and Ankle specialist. He gave him a 'removable cast". I call it a boot. It's a black hard plastic boot with velcro closures. It will help a lot! Patrick was negotiating with the doctor. The doctor wanted Patrick agree to get up and walk down the hall in the boot before he went home. Patrick wasn't too sure about that,so he said, well, maybe but only if my parents can help me!:laughing: that really tickled the doctor. I don't think he's used to having to negotiate his decisions. I told the doctor that Patrick was a good politician, you'd never get a straight answer out of him.

As we were leaving the Doc says to me, " I'd like to meet Pat's brother". I was so surprised, and I asked him why? He said, "His brother's in law school, right? If he's anything like the negotiator that Patrick is, he'll do very well! " :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Anyway, we are fine, at least better now. We got him to move a little on his own, and take a couple of steps here at home, so things will be easier from now on, as he heals, he'll get more mobile again. :flower3:

Yes, I think we are! Now the worst is over and we are on to healing! Bouncing back! :yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay:

Connie, I'm glad you are all having a better day  Sending hugs and pixie dust :wizard: that Patrick continues to heal quickly.

Hello. Did everyone miss me? Saturday we went to a science museum with the girl scouts and then we hung out with a few of the girl scout families Saturday night. Yesterday we went to Jon's parents house to have Thanksgiving.

There is nothing major to tell except the science museum was fun. They had a room dedicated to drugs and what your brain is like on drugs and I thought it would be very interesting but we decided to leave after we discovered the room that was called "How to make a methamphetamine lab out of a hotel room" I think we might need a permission slip for that one. They did have a 3-D movie and it was the most 3-D movie I have ever seen. There wasn't stuff flying at you every once in awhile it was all the time. Fish would just swim by your head. It was really cool. If anyone is ever in LA it is a must see.

Miss you???????????????:confused3 :confused3 :confused3

Who are you?????????????
:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

OF COURSE WE MISSED YOU.

Glad you had a good weekend. How was Thanksgiving?

Ditto!

Jackie,I wish you were on the EBTA :boat: :sad1: If you do win the lottery, maybe you can do both :cool1:

and my brunch sauage crossiant was good. I took the dog with me, she is really happy to ride in the car these days. I think she likes being the only dog in the house. Much like a queen :bride: (well you get the idea)

Our weekend was fabulous. We got to visit with my aunt and uncle and their kids and kid's kids and kid's kid kid...do you follow??? The most beautiful baby Audrey who is just 3 months old visiting from London. She was the baby born on 8-8-08. I'll post some pics later today. Molly is talking about when she can go to London and help her cousin, katie (mama) with the baby. so cute :cutie: While we were on our honeymoon in London I was feeling terrible and crashed into my cousins house with morning sickness with Miss Molly. So now we are full circle ~ 12 years later with my cousin bringing her grandaughter to the US on T-day holiday

Nan, I'm glad you had such a nice weekend!
Kathe

Kathe: Those new babies are like a drug, I tell you :rolleyes1 :cool2: :woohoo:

:lmao: :cutie: :cloud9:

I know what you mean :goodvibes I've grumbled all week about having to shovel snow and chip away at ice, but I had no problem at all crawling around chasing after Serenity last week!

Kathe

Well, goodnight all! I have to get up extra early tomorrow, around 5:00 as I have to go to a different store to help train someone. So I better get a few things done around the house and head to bed.

Kathe

Jackie,I wish you were on the EBTA :boat: :sad1: If you do win the lottery, maybe you can do both :cool1:

Kathe

Well, both wouldn't even take a lottery win...just nearly all my vacation days. They are such a good value. I priced the EBTA for two people in a Cat 11 and adding that to my Cat 7 for the WBTA, it still comes to only about $130 per night for my share, for 28 days on the Magic! That's a good vacation value! ::yes::

Oh, I hate the freezing rain Holly. Take care and keep safe

Kathe
No worries, they were wrong. It didn't happen. It did start snowing heavily after I posted that, it snowed all day, but none accumulated because it was in the high 30sF today, so most of it melted as soon as it hit the roads and sidewalks. BUT, you know what that means. When the temp gets below freezing overnight, all that melted stuff will freeze and the morning drive will be awful.

I did talk to Monica, she's going to straignhten DCL out for me. Especially since I've got ANOTHER reservation wtih my DH! Wouldn't work very well to be running from room, to room.

I hope you do end up on the DCL cruise. Just keep buying those lottery tickets! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

THAT FREEZiNG RAIN IS WHY WE LEFT ILLINOIS!!!!!!
My plan (before Tyler) was to graduate from law school and get the heck out of Michigan. :thumbsup2 BUT.....then Tyler happened and things changed. Oh well, life sure isn't something you can really plan, but it all works out in the end. ;)
