:yay: Deborah, congratulations on your new TV! I think mine is only 19inch, so I'm very jealous! ;) We hardly ever use it though, so it's not worth me buying a bigger one.

I think Ian is trying make me stay every weekend to watch TV and he is trying stop me spend the money with girls??:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

AS I have 24inch as it is nothing wrong with it:sad2: maybe Keith will have it in his bedroom.:cool2:

More than anything, you both should be pleased that your marriage is strong enough to survive this.

Funny you should mention this...

My cousin who did the electrical work for us (certified electrician), everytime he came over, kept saying "You know house renovations are the #2 reason for divorce".

Part of the reason why it has taken so long is because we talk about EVERYTHING. Not a decision was made that we both didn't agree to.

Also, one reason why I think there haven't been many contentious issues between the two of us, is because we have always had the idea that we are doing this to sell it. So it isn't necessarily what we would want in a kitchen, but with the idea of how someone else would want it.

Probably the biggest issue for us came in September/October when I had to be away from home so much to work on our Federal election. But Shannon knew that was important to me and hopefully our future so she lived through it.

But you should see her now when she sees the progress - she's as giddy as a school girl when she just sits back and looks at the kitchen. Which of course, makes it worthwhile for me.

I love green bean casserole....then again, I love most veggies....even brussel sprouts.....just not zucchini.

Being Greek, we put lemon on all green veggies including green beans. Add a little butter, lemon, garlic and onion powder and veggies are delicious.

I am laughing when I read it as it can give you a wind (I mean Fart) :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I am eatting caramel bite in tub (mini size) oh I will never buy it again because it is too lovely yummies (I bought it for kids but I end up eatting it):rolleyes1

and the weather is so cold brrrzzzzzz, up north start snowing.

Ian - it is a pain when you have to get work done like that, but I also find that when the day is over and you get it back on schedule like that it is pretty pleasing to oneself. I do like the euphoria you feel "when a plan comes together".

Deb - please enjoy your birthday week. My father firmly believes in the Alice in Wonderland song "Very merry un-birthday" concept, so I'm sure celebrating for a whole week - oh heck a whole month - isn't too bad.

Michelle - this could be almost as bad. I have family arriving on Dec 21 for Xmas and we still have to rip apart the living room and put down new laminate flooring - after we finish the kitchen. I think it's going to be a busy weekend and of course this weekend Shaelyn is having her birthday party with her friends (who wants to go skating with 12 6-7 yr olds?). And of course this weekend is the big party here in Canada - It's Grey Cup weekend (that's our version of the superbowl). We usually go but with the kitchen this year that ended that idea pretty quick.

I see Shannon has been slacking with posting pics of the kitchen so here is the latest incarnation for those that are interested:

Should be ready to take the new stove out of it's cardboard home today and put it into place. Going to put all the doors on the cabinets today as well and perhaps get ready to install the OTR microwave.
Wow, it's turning out nicely! Lots of work, but it will be so worth it. :goodvibes

We'll put ours up Saturday, 11/29 when Tyler comes home from his dad's, then we'll decorate it the next day on Sunday. :goodvibes

Ours won't be up till the weekend before Christmas as we only get back on the 17th. I can't face putting it up before we go. Before we started going away at this time I think I would have the tree up 2 weeks or so before Christmas. I love my tree.

So Tyler's dad had to pick him up from school at 9:30 yesterday and he's furious, saying how the school is doing nothing to help Tyler, blah, blah, blah. But actually, the school has bent over backwards doing everything they possibly can to keep Tyler there. Reality is they don't have the training or capabilities to deal with his needs, so I'm going to agree to the school down the road that has the classroom for kids like him. His dad will disagree, so I'll have a huge stressful battle over that. He says it's not necessary to do this, so he wants to just pull Tyler out and put him in a completely different school district because he seems to think Tyler's doing these things on purpose! :headache: :confused3

I swear, that man's going to give me a heart attack.

Oh dear maybe you both need have a good talking and sound not good if Tyler have doing anything at all. I know it is not easy too.

After all this he thinks Tyler is doing it on purpose?:sad2:
YES! Can you believe that? He told me that in an email this morning. He told me he's sure Tyler's just doing these things to get attention. If that were true, the doctors would have found no need for meds. Tyler feels horrible about the things he does and how kids are afraid of him, how behind he is, etc. That's not something he'd want to do on purpose. His dad sure doesn't know him very well. :sad2:

We cut down our tree every year and since I'll be out of town at my nephew Tristan's graduation from boot camp....from Dec 16 to Dec 21....I was not going to put one up this year. Maybe just a small one on the top of a table. But now Tom will be here so I have to put a tree up. I won't do it until I get home on the 21st.

I'm going to have to rethink this Christmas completely since Tom will be here.

Remember it's still going to take 2 more weeks before the meds will kick in. You gotta give it the time it takes, even though that is so hard right now.

Apparently his way of dealing with this stress is denial. Give him time to calm down again and maybe he will see the light and listen to the pros.:confused3 :confused3

Not much time to keep up with all the threads. We are in OR now for this week, will be in WA next week for Thanksgiving and then head south. We plan at least 2 weeks in CA, one heading south and one at RV park by DL. Maybe 10 days at the Anaheim one. We will see. Then we will head to San Diego for a few days and then east. Not sure where we will be Christmas, but we do have a small artificial tree in the MH that DrHug bought last year, so where we are is where Christmas will be. We are anxious to get on the road, but must do a bit of family first. Thanksgiving will be at our neice and nephew's this year. We handed the Thanksgiving torch to them and they are very excited to continue the tradition.

Holly, we continue to keep Tyler in our prayers. :grouphug:

Oh, you are going to have to have a very special Christmas Deb. I think you are really going to enjoy it.

Angie, Hi. How exciting that you have begun your travels. You probably won't be on here again before Thanksgiving, so have a great one before really getting going with your travelling.

Miss you. We will be in Epcot a week Monday and I will be thinking about you then.

Hi Angie, quite the nice life to be retired with a motorhome. Good for you and Dr. Hug. I can't think of two people who deserve it more.

Hope you have a nice visit with the relatives and Turkey Day at your niece's.

Say hi to Mickey for me and John when you see him. Tell him I love him and blow him a kiss.

Keep in touch when you can, we miss you and Dr. Hug!!!:cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9:
