Sandi called last night and told us some very bad news about Tom. He was having a very difficult time being uprooted. He finally got to a good place here in PA and was doing well when they yanked him out and moved him to FL. He has NOT been doing well again in FL. He's currently in a mental hospital and put on suicide watch. They'll probably hold him for a couple of days and then release him to a halway house or someplace like that. They are afraid of letting him go back home because he doesn't want to be there.

I blame Sandi and Joe. So does John. It's tearing John appart to watch how Joe is destroying his loved ones. I thought about taking on the job of having Tom move back in here with us and go to school where he was doing so well when he left. But John said that he would not be able to handle Tom now, he's not the kid that left here....he's too far gone by now and it would be too much work. Still, I feel we need to be there for him. John said he wouldn't be able to do it. I feel torn and helpless. I wish we could help.

I'm so sorry Deb. It must be very worrying for you and John, and something you could well do without having to worry about. How sad for a young man to be so troubled.

I read your later post and see you are offering a home for Tom so I hope all works out there and he gets some stability and love.

Exactly I am not happy with it also I was shopping yesterday at M&S for paperwrapping etc... one staff told me put that back and told me that 20 percent plus my discount too so I leave it until tomorrow maybe get family present to save my money.




I am very sorry to heard that news and I know you wish to help but there is nothing to do.

I have friend Roz and she was very bad depression last year and went to hospital over Xmas then she came out of it then now she back to depression again over her friend treated her terrible. She texted me last night to asked me if I am friend with her. I texted back yes I am alway your friend and please don't listen another people and think family first. She texted back and said she feel very low.

I don't want end up like her one day!!! very scarey!!

I am not happy with my work. I went to my work for hand the holiday form as it start from 8.30 am so I went up about 8.40 and realised it was a long queue. Then I handed my form in and one manager said i might not get some holidays. I said well November holiday is my priority. You see her face when I said it. Because I have no planning for next year apart from November 09. I must fill in all 5 weeks holiday, if i don't put any 5 weeks holiday then I don't get any holidays. Seem daft, how I know what is planning ahead.

I bumped to my old boss and he want to know where I am going next year!!! I told him nothing apart from New York. I told him because money crunch now also I told him that I booked July 2010 for Disney Cruise. He told me that not allowed to that and have to wait until holiday confirmation. What a crap at my work. Mean I have to go queue very early next year. Sound daft. I asked my workmate what the manager said they said nothing why me? I am not happy with it and I think the manager was not very nice to say that to me.

Grrrrr I need to go away from my work which is crap now.

My stupid computer is playing about now pop up with virus grrr i had been checking my own virus said none.

Looking like not my day today. Now I am off to wraping up the Xmas present for the kids before they search around the house lol.

Well at the moment it is sunny and the sky is blue. Not sure how long for, but it looks great.

Just 9 days and we will be packed up and ready to go to the airport hotel for the night!!! Then we fly in 10 days, and meet Monica in 11!!!

Oh boy am I excited.

Going to start Christmas card writing, so if you want one I need your address!!!!

I think I have all the Christmas presents I need to buy, apart from one I think, and John if we bother. A couple I have to wrap before we set off on holiday. Christmas puddings are made and new tree lights and candles bought.Chocolates are in storage ready for Christmas Eve!!!!

Well it looks like everybody is split between Feb and Sept for our reunion in CA and DL. I talked to John about it and we won't be able to do it at all in 09 unless we start cancelling plans already made. We don't want to do that. Since we usually go away and do mouse every april and september and since we're booked for both in 09, we are going to push it off until 2010. We'll do it in April. I know it's a long way to wait, but maybe more people can make it if it's planned out that far in advance.

We don't want to give up on doing it. We're determined to make a CA reunion out of it if nothing else. We just couldn't choose what to cancel for 09 that's already booked. We're meeting with Monica and Marilyn for tea in April 09. We also have lunch paid for with the Princesses at the Castle. I don't want to lose that money already spent. So we're going to WDW in April 09. Then Sept 09 is our b2b cruise. John really does not want to cancel the second week and he said it would be impossible to add a week in CA after a b2b.....just not enough time off and too much money. He's right and I can't cancel if he really wants to do it.

That leaves our next available time to do it in April 2010. That will work out nicely too because we can just fly there and stay a week and fly home. Easy. Then our cruise in 2010 is not until Christmas. We'll really want to do DL in April. So I'm locking it in. We'll be in CA for a week for April 29, 2010.

That leaves enough time for everyone to be able to plan it out and join us for some fun at DL. We would love to have a reunion with as many Thieves as possible. We may just make a tradition out of it. We'll do WDW and/or DL alternating every April.....then we'll cruise every Sept. each year. That will work out nicely. And we'll get to keep seeing our friends on the left coast.

I'm sorry that we have to wait so long, but it will be worth it and we're not giving up doing it. We're looking forward to it. Then we'll be able to keep doing it every other year thereafter. We just have to wait it out to get it started. John said it wouldn't be worth going for a few quick days after the b2b and I would agree. He said lets wait and go for at least a week when we do it. I would agree. We're coming April 2010. It'll go really fast, wait and see. And we can have fun planning it out until then.

Well I think February is more popular if you can't come in September. We'll just plan another one in 2010

2009 is a worrying year for time and money.

I usually save 5 days of vacation to carry over to the next year. I won't be able to do that this year. I used up vacation for the wedding, for Sukie's surgery and for the Jewish holidays

I sent an email to our HR department yesterday Previous companies I worked at, offered the benefit of "buying" additional vacation days, up to 5 days. It turns out, I'm not the only one who has asked for this benefit.

Money is also worrying, because I just do not have a good feeling about 2009 and am wondering whether we should pull in our horns. I'm reexamining our 2009 vacation plans.

I had my Sunday morning WW meetings, which provided some extra "pin money" every month that went towards vacations and goodies, but now my meeting attendance numbers, because of the economy are way down, so my "pin money" has been nearly cut in half.

It's not all doom and gloom, just the need for us to be perhaps a bit more conservative in 2009.

I think money is worrying everyone right now. We can always celebrate your 2nd anniversary

I like the idea of an Ale House Your menu sounds much like ours. We have green bean casserole and macaroni and cheese instead of coleslaw and potato salad. We do not have pizza. I make our pies homemade and we have peach, blackberry and pumpkin.

I just got back from seeing the wound specialist. My right leg is infected again and I'm back on antibiotics. Just Great!

So his name is Dr. Beckett and his nurse said it was his birthday yesterday and I said mine too. When he walked into the room I said happy birthday to him and to me too. He said oh yea and do you know who else that's famous had a birthday yesterday? He said Mickey Mouse. I said I know he turned 76. I showed him my necklace. Now I love Dr. Beckett even more.

I think we should have annual reunions one at DL and then the following year one at WDW. They should alternate each year to keep it fair. Then we can still see each other even if we're not cruising together. It sounds like February is the best time of year for everyone. It is certainly an inexpensive month to travel. I might have to change my april travel month to feb and just start it in 2010 and skip 09. Maybe more people will be able to come then.

I say the more the merrier.

It's 500 mg of keflex three times a day for 12 days. I just took them to get rid of the last infection 2 months ago. It worked then so it should work again. They took a culture in the office to make sure it's the same kind of infection as the last one.

Marilyn, could you travel once a year to do a Thieves reunion alternating between DL and WDW? Would June be a good month for you?

Me and Gaylean are really trying to make this happen. We want to see each other and all the LEFT coasters, as I like to call that group, and we want to see everyone else too or as many people as we can get to come to the reunion.
