but if you go to California NEXT year, you CAN stop buy to visit with all the Thieves you want to :)

That would be an awesome trip....stopping at all the thieves homes along the way across country. Very cool!!!!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

stopping by to say :wave2:

Hope everyone is doing well.

I'm getting ready to enter into my 2nd week seeing the chiropractor. My neck is not so stiff anymore, so I'm happy. She has me sitting on an exercise ball (the big one) all day (instead of an office chair) and I must say that I keep cracking myself up......it's hilarious getting on/off this thing. I swear I almost fall/roll off atleast 2-3x a day.

Thinking of going up to Northern FL to see a certain someone this weekend. We'll be finalizing things tomorrow. If I do go, I'll hopefully catch up with Lisa & Darrell.

Monday I work 1/2 day so that I can go see Air Supply at Epcot. I missed them last year. Survivor is here on Saturday.

That exercise ball is just too funny. I don't know how you stay on it at all, forget about getting on and off. hahaha.

It sounds like a great weekend and fun way to extend it some on Monday. I love Air Supply. I hope they come back next year so I can see them. Survivor is also great.

Do these concerts get crowded? Do you have to buy tickets?

:scratchin:scratchin:scratchin

We were supposed to go down to Virginia to see Casey and Brittany next weekend. We cancelled it. We decided that we could do an overnight there when we go to or from Florida in December. That would keep things economicly better. Instead of going away now and again in December, we'll just extend the December trip a little. We would stop overnight anyway on the way down and back. It just makes more sense to do them both together.

That means we'll be home next weekend. So I contacted my cousin's wife Amy. I told her that we'll be home and available to meet if they were available too. She said she'll check with my cousin Jeff and let me know. We're still trying to do Christmas from last year. I have so many gifts wrapped and waiting for them all. We'll see if we can get it done before this upcoming Christmas. hahaha :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

No plans for this weekend, except the usual chores. I have to soak my leg AGAIN. John will go grocery shopping.....this week it's chicken parmesean with angel hair pasta that I'm making and beef stew in the crockpot that John is making. That should last us until mid-week at least. We'll freeze some stew and give some to the kid too. I'm not parting with the chicken parm. It's my favorite and it came out really good the last time I made it, so I'm ready for more. :p:p:p:p

Joe's service in church was last weekend. I know that he was cremated, but I don't know where or when Sandi is going to place his ashes. I know she was looking at some jewelry for her and the boys to wear some of his ashes around their necks. I think that's taking it a bit too far. I told John I'll have him cremated but don't ever expect me to wear your ashes in jewelry around my neck. It's too freaky.

This is the hardest part, when all the people go home and you have to go back to your routine. I left her a message on FB. We'll see what she replies. I hope she's doing ok.

Well.. I asked God to send me a sign that things will be ok...

the next morning I woke up with a kidney stone...

Which COULD be a good sign...

Cause I was going to go and see if I could get out and get some work to do...

But I've been a little :scared: about getting my resume together and getting out there...

so.. I'll let you know how I do in a couple of days... gotta let this pass... :rotfl2::rotfl2: and we'll see what happens..

Btw.. has anyone heard from Kathe? Just wondered how things were on her side of the border...
Sorry about the kidney stone, but good luck on job hunting! Fingers crossed! :hyper:

No word from Kathe.

Northern Florida is not happening tomorrow, but he may be stopping by my place on Thursday, on his way to his parents (in Siesta Key). Not really all that disappointed as I would have had to get up at 6am on Monday to drive home.

I'm trying to get moving, but really don't want to. I'd love to go back to bed, but in a way I don't want to do that either. :lmao: I want to do something, but am feeling very lazy.

Sorry this weekend didn't work out. Hoping for Thursday! :thumbsup2

I'm lazy today too. Was supposed to be at church at 8am to work concession stands for MSU's noon homecoming game, but my knee kept giving out on me yesterday, so I figured it would be best to stay off it this weekend. I've cancelled on them for a game in the past, and they're short-handed, so I'm sure people aren't happy, but I can't afford to risk more knee trouble. Just resting it today and staying off it all weekend as much as possible. I suspect this was triggered by the whole day on my feet at Cedar Point last Saturday, climbing the steps up and down to the rides, and getting in and out of the seats on rides. I usually have much more trouble with it in the summer since we're more active then.

That makes sense & it's a good idea to stay off it.

Hello everyone. I still busy and now my family and I are off to Kenmore Club outside Perth in Scotland for a week break

Hello all. Good to see all the pages of chat but sorry to hear all the bad news here and there. Sorry to those in pain from whatever reason, stones, knees, necks, legs etc. Apart from the stones, do any of you find your other aches get worse at changes in weather types or air pressure? I know I do with the small amount of wrist/thumb arthritis I have. Anyway I hope you are all feeling a bit better today and for Michelle the stone passes soon. To Monica, John and I think a chiropractor is great and they do get you moving and help the pain. When we started we went 3x a week for 2 weeks, then 2x for a couple of weeks and then gradually a longer distance till he recommended 6 to 8 week appointments to just keep topped up so to speak. I hope it helps you.

Deb, sorry to hear the news about Joe, well for Sandy anyway. It would be lovely if she and John were closer again soon. I hope all your planning works out too for Thanksgiving etc.

Holly, it must have been so hard for you recently, you are doing great but it must be strange having him just next door.

Just home today from our cruise. We loved it. Unfortunately the weather was not as good as it should have been down in Spain and Portugal but it didn't affect us much as we weren't going anywhere and we don't sunbathe anyway;)!! It was pleasantly warm but cloudy and we did have some rain. We had pretty good weather though the final 2 sea days coming home which was a lovely surprise. We had an excellent road journey home too from the port today, so much easier than flying from some far away place. Hopefully we will do some more cruises from here as it does make a difference.

Hi Marilyn! So glad you enjoyed your cruise! :goodvibes It must have felt wonderful to cruise again!

Regarding changes in weather affecting body issues, I can't speak for the others, but colder weather does increase my arthritis in my fingers. I was diagnosed with it when I was in my late 20s. I thought I'd just been bowling too much (used to bowl 4 nights a week on leagues) and possibly strained something, but the doctor told me it's arthritis. It bothered me that winter and never again until recent years and only in winter. For me, that's the only thing cold weather affects. So far. ;)

Surprisingly, it's not hard having him next door because he's never visible anymore. He doesn't come out, so I never see him coming or going. So it's really no problem. I was sad for a while that he didn't even want to remain friends, but despite how horribly he handled that, the hurt has healed and I just hope he finds peace.

So nice to see you here!

Well.. I finished the baby's stocking last night.. the stitched part at least...

I just have to look for a backing material and I think I'll start looking at some quilting shops to see if I can find a nice calico in lavender...

it will eventually look similar in size to my stocking which I made about 10 years ago (I figured after about a dozen or so other stockings... I should make one for myself...)

Yeah.. that's a big thing now... Not my idea of fun...

Besides Deb.. any diamonds you buy will remind you of John anyway!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I'm trying to get back on my feet. It's amazing how something so small can stop you in your tracks...

Well, up here, I'd have beat you back to bed cause I dragged out my nice down comforter last night and it was NICE and toasty!!!

Sorry this weekend didn't work out. Hoping for Thursday! :thumbsup2

Holly.. from now on.. we get you one of those scooter things so you can not only run over tourists at WDW.. but you can get an incredible reputation on DCL of running over people in the gift shops... :moped:
