YES he is!!!!! Only 3 years old. WOW!!!! What an awesome kid. I can't wait to see what he grows up to be. He can do anything he wants. He will succeed. Awesome kid!!!!
That's the cool thing about all kids. Wondering what they'll grow up to be. The potential is amazing. Each kid can be ANYTHING. It's like waiting decades to open a Christmas present, wondering what's inside. :goodvibes

My cousin always told me that half the time he didn't agree with his ex, but he didn't want to rock the boat so he compromised and let her have her way. There were times when he needed it and she compromised for him and let him have his way. They both just helped each other.

Putz is dumb enough not to do that for Tyler's sake, then let the chips fall where they may. Everything for a reason.
Exactly! :thumbsup2

And Tyler used to love to go shovel for Mel because he hated seeing him shovel his own sidewalks. Sadly, Mel died 2 years ago. Slipped on the ice, broke his hip and went downhill from there. We miss him. Surely he's looking down proudly on Tyler. :goodvibes

Good thing. You'll be a lot better off at home than in NJ. It sounds like it's going to hit hard and you don't want to be directly in it's path when it hits land. I'm worried about John driving to Newark when it's due to hit land. Then he'll get stuck there with emergencies and won't be able to come home. Electric and water don't like each other.

I'll probably be stuck here in the dark with my candles on until John returns and puts on the generator. I can't do it myself because you have to run wires and make sure there's gas and pull hard on the cord to get it going. I can't do all that. Good thing I have Angel with me. She makes me feel safer. She'll protect me from every squirrel and cat outside. hahaha. Nothing gets past her on her land.

Me too. Because there are more that I don't want to share right now. BIG scary ones. But it's just a speed bump. I'll get through. I always do. The upside to this is that I don't have credit cards, so at least I don't have credit card debt hanging over me. I know many people who are buried under thousands or tens of thousands of credit card debt PLUS the same things I have going on, so I'm really very lucky. :thumbsup2

Deb, Tyler has recently started telling me he doesn't like going to his dad's anymore. He says it's because his dad never does things Tyler needs to get done or that are important to Tyler, and also because his little sister is a terror and he can't stand how dad and stepmom don't control/discipline her. I told him we have to follow what the court said but that he should talk to his dad about these feelings. I did mention this to his dad at a recent psych appt. last week. Dad seemed shocked. The hard part is that they (dad and stepmom) want the whole family to do everything together, which I totally understand, but it's hard when there's such big age difference between both kids. He's 10 and she's 3. He is a good sport and tries to go along with the little kid activities to try to give his sister a good time. It's something us adults need to discuss soon. I think more issues in this regard will come up after they move because I highly doubt his dad will drive him 20 minutes each way to and from scouts once a week when he doesn't get home until a few minutes before scouts starts, and that will make Tyler upset because he loves going. Time will tell. Lots of changes coming up with their move.

Does Tyler have a CASA--Court Appointed Special Advocate?
an adult who is involved in custody and family organizational hearings whose sole job is to represent the child's point of view.

Holly, I read your posts and the one thing that shines through is what an amazing fantastic mom you are. You are really special.

Exactly Marilyn!!!! I completely agree.

You really are a role model for all moms. You teach, nurture and love. You have patience and give good guidance. You support Tyler no matter what he has going on. You're the best mom ever!!!!

Sandy is coming. They're saying that it's going to be the worst storm that we have ever experienced. It's a noreaster colliding with a hurricane. It's huge! It's going to bring lots of wind and rain and snow in some areas. More than likely there will be power outages and trees down. It's due to hit NY/NJ on Monday morning around rush hour.

We will have to do some shopping and prepping later today.....us and everyone else around here. I hope there are supplies left on the shelves.

John left to go down to Phili with the kid to pick up the Grand Am. He has to be there by 8:30am so he had to leave by 6:30am. YUCK! He asked me if I wanted to go with him.....absolutely not! So he took the kid with him instead.
