All in All not a bad day...

Brian texted me before and said a little birdy told him I turned 29.. I told him I like how that bird counts!!!

Just three more weeks until I cruise under the Verrazano Bridge on the Magic in 5122. I'm getting so excited, but feel like I should be packed already and I haven't even off loaded the Hawaii suitcases yet. I have to bring cold clothes not tropical ones for this cruise. I better get busy.....empty suitcase, do laundry, pack. I'm exhausted.

I'm sailing in two weeks from today. I unloaded the Hawaii suitcases, did the laundry and packed for Canada this week. YAY!!! I just have my carry on bag to pack next week.

Me and John are leaving around 7:00am from the house and driving into the city. We'll park at the pier.....it's only 5 nights. It feels strange for me to leave the day of the cruise....not the night before. But we decided that one night in NYC overnight is going to be more expenses that we don't need to spend. So we'll leave on Friday, which is the onboard day.

After the cruise the car will be there and we just drive home.

Michelle, John and I are sending our prayers and pixie dust to you and the QM for a quick and speedy recovery. Hope she gets to come home today. You hang in there.....get plenty of rest and stay strong for mom. I know it's just as hard on you as it is on mom. Hospitals are very draining. Hang tough and keep updating us when you can.

Not that I know too much about the fine things of junk dining but I always thought of Wendy's as being a healthier option of that kind of food!!!

Marilyn, it says that you're cruising in one month and 6 days.....OH I'm so excited for you. Where are you cruising? What cruise line? Is it Disney? Tell us all about it please. I'm so happy for you that you're able to cruise again.

We are cruising out of the UK down to France, Spain and one stop in Portugal. It is Celebrity, 12 nights, and was a good price plus no airfares. Funny thing is it is called an Immersive Wine Cruise, so the ports are all near wine producing areas. Funny because I can't drink of course, but we wanted a relaxing cruise this time and if most others are off tasting wine we can enjoy being onboard! 3 ports they are overnighting in which I wasn't as keen on as I love being out at sea but I think that is why it was such a reasonable price. So, we upped to a small suite. The small suite aren't separate rooms like the ones on DCL but are bigger and of course have a few perks. We just thought that as it was going to be more relaxing then we may as well make the surroundings nice.

We couldn't book a cruise until I was discharged from the specialist and could get travel insurance, plus I had to feel well enough of course which will always be a bit of a gamble anyway.

We are really looking forward to it. I have been a little busy sorting clothes as the climate is different to what we usually cruise in but should be warm unless a cold or wet front moves in. So probably not shorts and strappy tops though I will take a couple of each!!! It looks like the evening dress code is a little more dressy but that is fine by me. Also, no smoking on balconies as well as indoors!!
