Yeah, Tyler and I talked about that. He said "What am I going to do when they have us both over for dinner if I really don't like that food?" I told him I'd talk to Loie about it and explain. Hopefully his parents will understand that even though he will politely try everything, kids are finicky and it's especially hard to eat something so unfamiliar. They seem so nice, I'm sure they'll understand. After all, Loie was married in the past to an American woman, so his stepson was American, so I'm sure the issue came up with them too. I'm sure it won't be a problem.

Yup! And he knows Tyler likes that. He asked him what he DOES like to eat.

Sad because I didn't get to see him today. He slept all day because of pain. They're supposed to fast from sunrise to sunset but he really can't because of all the meds he takes, and it was a disaster when he tried it the first day, so he said he wouldn't again. Now after today he said he's definitely not doing it again because God would understand. So at about 8:30ish as they were leaving to go out for dinner he came over to say hi and spend a couple minutes (that's when we discussed the likes/dislikes), then his parents came over to meet Tyler. I'm guessing he'll text me when they're home to see if I'm still awake for a short visit/chat.

Well.. as one who has pain... I know that God will give a special dispensation when having to take meds... (at least that's what I feel when I have to...)

I'm sure he will take Tyler into consideration and maybe Tyler might find something along the way that he does like...

Yeah, and actually, as they were talking, Tyler told him "Well, I might like it eventually if I keep trying it, because I used to hate Chinese food but now I like it because I kept trying it."

Nice, long visit for HOURS after Tyler went to bed. Just couldn't stop talking! And mom & dad kept walking over with new foods for me to try, and now they've moved on to having me try different seeds/herbs that they eat to stay healthy. So many new things, I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed, LOL! I can't hang with these people who stay up until 5am! Good grief! LOL!

Ready for today's visit/chats! Hoping NO MORE FOOD though. It's really good food but I'm finding I need a break from it to eat what I'm used to! He did come over earlier and bring a bag of takeout from an Arabic restaurant (or maybe the proper term is Middle Eastern restaurant, I'm still trying to figure it out), Tyler and I both ate it, and it was wonderful, but wow, these people eat a lot! How do they stay so thin? Must be healthier foods. And no desserts yet.

LOL! Well, I'm jealous because he's going down with his visiting parents next month. Depending on whether they can get his next surgery done soon enough for him to be recovered enough to drive down (doctors say no flying). At least he said he'll buy me something from Disney.

Off to sleep. Had a nice 3 hours of talking again, and this time while sharing tons of family pictures. I'm getting to bed early tonight!

My weekend went nicely - did the errands & girly stuff on Saturday (mani/pedi) & was on the road Sunday about 930am. Encountered basically no traffic going up to Jacksonville (which was great) & I got there after about 2hrs 45min. Spent about 5 hours laying out on the beach, with my Kindle then got to spend some quality time with the guy. We saw the sun set and it was good to see him relaxed (doesn't do that too often as he's always on the go).

Left there about 1045am yesterday, and stopped by my old office to say HI. Spent about an hour there, then headed home.

Back to real life now () oh well.
