. How did it go ?

My leg is bleeding now in some spots and the doctor likes that. He said that means that the tissue underneath is healing. He liked the way it looked because we caught it early and started the soaks and antibiotics immediately. He said for me, come back in a month because I know what to do to care for it having been there many many times. Then they did a culture to be certain of the kind of infection, that it's the same as previously....and it always is....but they wanted to be certain that I'm on the correct antibiotic. Then they wrapped it and sent me home.

OH, I have a nodule sticking out....it's like a large skin growth and it's on my leg in the middle of the infection. The doctor said that we could use a local anestetic and cut that off. I said you would have to knock me out to do it. I said I could not do the procedure awake. He said we'll talk more about it on my next visit. The pain would be incredibly bad to receive the local anestetic and after it wore off. I want to be knocked out for that one.

So you all know about the drama in a young adult's life right.....Brittany (my nephew's girlfriend) writes to me last night on FB saying that she and Casey can't go on the cruise. I almost panicked. Then she said a bunch of things that were going on and that they were fighting and that she was so mad at him that she didn't want to spend a week with him right now. DRAMA!!! I told her to relax and that her cruise wasn't until November and it's only September and that they will make up long before it's time to cruise. Can you believe that. I would really have a hard time with it if they backed out at the last minute because of a spat.

Monica and Michelle do you want to be our backups just in case something goes south. They are staying in 5150 with the large size deck. John said he never wants to go to the Bahamas again....we have done that short cruise so many times.

I KNOW....that's the other one of John's problems....he doesn't have enough time off to do the one week cruise and Hawaii. He only needs four days off to visit WDW at that time, but a week long cruise plus the drive down and back. I already paid for plane tickets that I can't use now, they're for Sept. So I'm driving....that's it!! If I cancel or postpone, it doesn't cost me anything. Then John can't get that much time off work. He would rather save it for Hawaii.

Was chatting with Brian and he wanted to know about my week... and I told him.. and I told him how I was really afraid most of all if I had to tell THEM I was sick.. not the adults as much.. but the kids...

He told me he loved me... and he was glad I was ok...



Going to mom's concert tonight with the seniors... I'm driving. I've been told not to take pictures this week.. it's only their second show..

Anyway... I'm beyond sore and i'm tired. didn't sleep much last night so I'm gonna go and crash for a bit.

Was chatting with Brian and he wanted to know about my week... and I told him.. and I told him how I was really afraid most of all if I had to tell THEM I was sick.. not the adults as much.. but the kids...

He told me he loved me... and he was glad I was ok...

The kids don't need you to be perfect or invincible--they need you to love them for the truth of their lives and they need YOU to LET THEM LOVE YOU for the TRUTH of YOUR LIFE.

It was at a breast care center here at Bellvue Women's Hospital. They even have a radiologist on site to read the films right away and give you your results while you are there. Mine was a diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound. It was quite good. If it were a regular mammogram then they would have contacted me if they had found anything by my Dr. or by letter within a week if not.

The kids don't need you to be perfect or invincible--they need you to love them for the truth of their lives and they need YOU to LET THEM LOVE YOU for the TRUTH of YOUR LIFE.

If I offered again I would explain that if they waste the gift, i was to be paid back.

One of my friends with fibromyalgia has a 4 year old who has known all her life that some days Mommy does not feel good and needs the shades shut and lots of naps. If someone can help watch the kid then they do that but if not they deal together. That kid is so empathetic !!

She does not "understand" the way Brian now does but Brian does not understand the way Deb does.

Take care of yourself and continue to help educate the world--one niece or nephew at a time. Your openness will help them be supportive of their friends. Suffering alone is harder.

My kids have always grown up knowing that Aunt Shell had a "boo-boo"... Maysie even got into a fight with a kid in kindergarden because he was told that boo-boos ALWAYS get better... I just told her that he didn't understand that sometimes they don't and to try and remember that...

They've always been great about it...

Platinum and gold CC memebers can call DCL or their travel agent today and book on the OCTOBER HAWAII cruise!!!! Booking for silver and the public is Monday. Oct 14th and its 14 days (one less sea day than the April cruise.



I'm at home today (will go into work on Sunday) and am at Peg's using her computer. (Don't mention this on facebook!! ) I've been a little sleep deprived (it must be going around) and called in 'late', then called back a couple of hours later to say I wouldn't be in. I'll be taking a nap very shortly!!

Training today didn't happen as planned...we got to Port Canaveral & everyone's name BUT mine, appeared on the Royal Caribbean Manifest.....so that meant I was not allowed on board. I was a bit , but then 1 1/2 of the owners of Destinations to Explore (my "parent" agency) came out & said he'd drive me back to Orlando & take me out to lunch instead.

We ended up hanging out at Macaroni Grill for 3+ hours chatting. Luckily they were not busy at all, so it didn't matter that we were campers. We met up with the rest of the group at the Royal Pacific hotel (Universal Studios) for a tour of a suite (it was sweet!!), were given our passes to get into the parks (2 day hopper valid for 1 day until 9/30) & 5 of us then headed back to Pop Century. The parks were closing early due to Halloween Horror Nights & we figured 2 hrs in the parks was not enough. 2 of the others ended up giving me their tickets, so Will, Mickey, Mom & I are headed over there Sunday. This way we only need to buy 1 ticket.

Tomorrow we tour some Disney resorts & have lunch at Whispering Canyon. I hope then, to be able to see my friends Sandy & Tony (from the EBTA '10). No longer going to tour the Dream on Sunday....rather spend the time at Universal.....looking forward to checking out Harry Potter's world.
