Deb, no, I didn't celebrate. I've not been getting home until about 8pm all week. I'm not a birthday celebrator though. For me, getting birthday cards and Happy Birthday wishes makes me happy and I don't want anymore celebrating than that. It just doesn't mean much to me. My mom came to town last Saturday and took me & Tyler to lunch, then my dad and stepmom came the next day and took us out to lunch.

I bought myself a birthday cake on the actual day on my way home from work, hoping to only have a tiny piece. Lost control and had a HUGE piece (about 4 times what a serving should be). :guilty: That's my first experience losing control since re-starting WW, but I jumped back on track the next day. So I took the rest to work and begged everybody to eat the rest. :thumbsup2

I'm sorry to hear that you feel this way about your birthday. I love birthdays. They are special days....weeks, months, seasons.....to really have a chance to pamper ourselves and do special things for ourselves that normally we wouldn't do. It's a great celebration, knowing that you have another year to look forward to and to realize how far you have come and how much you have grown.:goodvibes

GREAT JOB by the way.....for getting right back on the program the following day. YEAH for you taking the rest of the cake to work and getting rid of it. You are going to make it this time. You are going to reach your goal. I'm so proud of you and so happy for you. We know it's not easy. You are doing it!!!! That's FABULOUS!!!!

So....if DCL does do a Hawaii cruise in October, are any of you booked for May now planning on jumping ship??

I must say that the timing in October is better for me, but I'm doing this for my friends on board, as much as the cruise it self.

NO WAY!!! I'm not jumping ship. I want to do the inaugural run and I can't wait and I have lots of ladies wanting to do the champagne girls that I can't let down. So even though I would like to push the PIF date back a month or so, I'm not bailing. I will put the pennies together and get it paid on time. I don't want to change a thing.

I am trying to get lots of rest this week, but something always comes up to interrupt. It's not like being alone in the house all day like I used to be. Tom brings lots of activity with his presence and his brother is coming in just four more days. Peace and quiet went out the window. hahaha.

I did finally get a text back from my cousin. He said that the "Wehrs boys" are bad for not letting me know, but they arrived on Tuesday. He said the truck was unloaded on Wednesday and they were furniture shopping on Thursday when I got the text. So all is well with them and I will see them when I'm in Florida in one month. I can't wait.

Glad they made it safely! :thumbsup2

Thanks Deb, I have no doubts I'll be successful this time. This is the first time in years that I've finally been below 200. Not much below, but it's still a good feeling. 11 pounds down, 62 to go. Not much but its a good start. Going very slowly, but surely. :thumbsup2

No more leaving my windows at home open to enjoy the fresh air. We have a serial rapist on the loose and his latest victim was overnight last night 2 miles down the road. He broke through a window screen of a woman's home. The news just said police are warning people in the area to shut all their windows and doors at night until he's caught. :( Creepy.

We will see you very soon. Is there any way to get in touch with you while you are at WDW? Are you still internet connected? Or should we just plan to meet at the Ohana dinner with the 40th Celebrations? Whatever works best for you is great with us. Getting excited to be going to see you and Ann and our pal Mickey very soon.

With fingers crossed that the wireless modem left behind in Orlando in our Owners Locker leaps into life when we plug it in at BLT, we will be online by the Wednesday evening. Looking forward to seeing you and John. Will you be internet connected?

October is prefect for us but sadly we cannot afford it for 4 of us... We already booked another cruise for 2013 in July with Deaf World Cruise for 14 days...

Another times....hopeful just 2 of us

Hi Deborah! I know what you mean about not being able to afford the Hawaii cruise for 4. I couldn't even afford it for 2, which is why Tyler is not going. So maybe one day you & Ian can do one without Keith & Olivia. You deserve to treat yourselves. :thumbsup2

Trying to decide what to do this weekend. With Tyler gone until Monday, I have an extra day of freedom (Labor Day is his dad's holiday this year). Thought about going up north again, but just for the day, and ride a bike around Mackinac Island again, but that's such a busy Labor Day weekend spot because of the annual Bridge Walk on Monday, so that would be a super hectic place right now. Thought about Chicago for the day, but got up too late this morning to drive there and back. Thought about Cedar Point for the day, and can take advantage of the short "single rider" lines on rides. But again, I got up too late for that, so maybe tomorrow. But Tyler and I are doing Cedar Point next weekend, so I'll probably choose something different. Maybe drive over to Lake Michigan and have a beach day, re-visit one of the many small beach towns I haven't been to since I was a kid. But again, beach towns are super busy on holiday weekends, so I'm not sure I want to fight the crowds. Maybe a local casino and have fun with the penny slot machines I love so much and possibly play bingo.

I don't know! Too many choices!!!! On second thought, I definitely have to stay away from Chicago because I've been craving Garrett Popcorn SOOOOOOO badly, and I know I'd make a bad choice and buy and eat a whole bag. Best just to avoid going anywhere near. ;) My cousin and his girlfriend are in Chicago today, and I'm having a hard enough time not asking them to pick up a bag for me. And I also have a friend going there with her family tomorrow, so I'm also fighting the urge to ask her to pick some up for me. :scared1:  :sad2:

No plans for the day....just sitting around on the WW site looking at Wok meals and putting together a grocery list. I have not committed to going back on the program yet, but I'm eating WW meals and trying to stick to a WW menu and shopping. It's even harder now since Tom is in the house. But he has been gaining since he's here and doesn't want to gain anymore. So we'll try casual Weight Watchers....no rigid program. I might not lose weight, but I won't keep gaining either. Then I can slowly start counting the numbers again and getting on the program.

Hi Deb!

I'm going to go and ransom my library books...:rolleyes1

then I guess I'll just do some stuff around the house.

This time last week we were getting ready for the storm.

They say we could get another 2-6 inches of rain from Lee... NOT good... :sad2::sad2:

today is the big party up at the lake at Northwoods... :sad2:& I'm not there... will have to see about next year... :sad1:

I think that Oct. might be more popular and you might see lots of people move... especially since FP for April comes around Xmas this year...

Do you know how long it took me to figure out what you were saying??? I keep reading final payment as Facebook. I saw it as FB. I kept reading....Facebook for April comes around Christmas??? It's like playing the game telephone.....hahaha.:lmao::lmao::lmao:

I'll be sticking with the spring, as I'm not allowed any vacation mid-Sept through the election in 2012. (The reason I had to cancel the WBTA last year.) Actually, I don't even officially know if they'll give me two weeks in the spring...but I'll be calling in all the markers on that one.

.

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 I'm so happy that you're sticking with the original one. You have to share the Champagne Girls with me and Mandy together for the first time!!!! It's not to be missed!!!

:lovestruc:lovestruc:lovestruc:lovestruc

I've given my new boss a "heads up" about the cruise....she's going to have to make an exception for the length of the vacation. She said she normally prefers that you only take 1 week at a time. If I have too, maybe I'll pull the "well, they knew about the cruise at my old account" ;)

Only reason I like October is the PIF date :rotfl:

I agree. But once it's paid, then I'll be so happy that I'm going on the first one....and won't have to wait as long.
