Took mom for her "honorary" handicap plackard for the car.. Honorary... because the old gall can still move, but she gets tired after her weekly runs to Walmart...

I told her she's still gonna have to walk in TX... :rolleyes1 (with my luck she'll have one of those carts ordered to go from gate to gate with a stop off at Arby's for lunch... ;)););)

Albert... Lovely garden!!!

And you know.. it's not often one can get a blue-tit past the Dis sensors... :rotfl2::rotfl2:

We firmed up our plans for Sept. We're flying into Sanford/Orlando on Wed 9/28.

Thurs we're doing the WDW Celebrations Project XL: The World At Forty. It's a group of people that sign up to do varied events planned for the 40th celebration. It's also mine and John's 21st wedding anniversary and since we missed last year, we're going to Emeril's Tschoup Chop restaurant over at Universal. We love it there.

Friday we're doing the Celebrations Project during the day and for dinner with them at Ohana. Then fireworks on the beach at the Poly.

Sat we're doing Food and Wine Fest with Lisa, Darrell, Monica, Heather, Tom, Bethany, Hope (Heather's mom), possibly Ann and Albert, Vicki and Greg and Connie and Chuck and Patrick. We'll see how many Thieves we can roster up. MONICA, does Will and Mickey want to come and have fun too. They are Thieves by relation. haha. They are very welcome to join us.

Sunday we're going to Bradenton to see my cousin and Uncle Teddy that will be moving there a month earlier. It will be one year for my Aunt Jesse's passing. I'm glad that we can be together.

Monday we fly home out of Sanford/Orlando into ABE. I love small airport to small airport. I love the inexpensive price too.

Just two more months and we'll be there! I'm excited!

We can't wait either :thumbsup2

Hey Lisa...

I've been listening to the lastest Podcast and theresa was talking about saving $ and they were talking about putting extra change in a jar... I'VE been putting my extra change in the CC club water bottle here on my desk!!!:banana: I can't count it yet - otherwise I'll spend it. :rotfl:

When you run out of space in the water bottle let me know and I'll send you more bottles :thumbsup2

Any thoughts on maybe the Dec 15 2012 cruise? We're going to Puerto Rico :goodvibes

I still have bottle #2 to work on before I send out an SOS!!!

Still thinking of things before Dec... but I'll keep you informed!

Have a good weekend.

And did you say to him "Dickey-bird, why do you sit, singing Willow, Tit-Willow, Tit-Willow" ?

.

... and we also have the great and long-tailed varieties too, but they haven't sat still long enough to pose yet!

Now is not a good time for a roof leak. I have NO idea how much it costs to repair a roof or even how to go about finding out. Ugghhh........off to make phone calls today and get that process started. Unfortunately, my paycheck I just got a couple days ago has already been spent on paying for our upcoming vacation, non-refundable stuff. So it will have to wait until next payday. But I have to go up into the attic to check out where it's coming from first. :headache: The news guy said we had more rain 2 days ago in a few hours than we've had in 60 days, then it happened all over again last night with another highway closed to flooding (as well as more streets). That's the heaviest rain I've ever seen, so I'm sure that's why we're dripping.

I SOOOOOOOOO want to do that cruise, but limited time and funds is not going to allow it. I have to be reasonable.....very hard to do when DCL and good friends are involved. haha.

Since we have had some experience with this issue, be aware that where the water comes in is NOT necessarily where the leak is. In PA it's very expensive to redo a roof....well, on our house. So John is in the process of using some tar like substance and "painting" it on the roof where we have some soft spots because we do have some leaks. Not all of our roof is bad enough to replace the whole thing, especially for the expense of it....we were quoted $8k for 2,000+ sq. ft. (That's my Hawaii cruise and then some!) I'm not ready to lay out that kind of money at this point in time. I'm leaving in a year or so. Besides, I would rather go to Hawaii. hahaha.

Let me know how you progress with fixing your leak. We'll compare notes. :goodvibes

Having a leaky roof is why we are renting and not buying when we get to Florida. I don't want to even think about home repairs much less pay for them. I want to play and have fun with Mickey and friends during the Winter season of my life. It's time for me and John to enjoy! We need to keep everything easy and simple and inexpensive.

Thanks Deb, I didn't know any of that. I'm totally clueless about it. I went up in the attic to see if I can figure out where its leaking, but I don't see anything that jumps out at me. And my neighbor who just finished repairing his own roof and would therefore probably know what to look for is on vacation until the day we leave on our trip, so I can't ask him, which means I need to pay somebody to come out I guess. No possibility of making phone calls at work today, so I will call places tomorrow if any are open on weekends. I'll have to have my bathroom ceiling fixed too because that's what was dripping. :(
