Album 3 is now done.....I think I sent it to all those who wanted it...let me know if I missed you :)

Lovely. Now starts the argument again about summer camp for Tyler. Ugghh......sure, he did great last year doing the 3 or 4 day mini-camp for first-times, but he should not jump into 2 weeks. I want him to do the 1 week first, then if that goes well, he can do 2 weeks NEXT summer. Dad disagrees since he started going for 2 weeks every summer at age 7. Tyler has told me he only wants to do 1 week, dad says Tyler told him he wants to do 2 weeks. Tyler probably told dad that because he didn't want to make dad feel bad. So now I'm the "bad guy" by refusing to let him go for 2 weeks and dad is MAD, mad, mad at me and thinks I'm being unreasonable and "it's a shame" I'm "deprving" Tyler of this experience. :headache: Just shoot me now.

Well, I survived through this argument last summer, I'll get through it this time. Uggghhh.......:sad2:

Holly - can you do 2 weeks, but not in a row? Maybe 1 week in June, 1 week in July? Would that appease Dad?:confused3

That's a good idea... if he makes it through the first week... maybe he can do another...

btw... how did he do on the cruise? did he have time in the kids clubs this time?

Also... to all of the cruisers... how was the service on the ship? I'm sure pretty good, seeing as you had the Disney high honchos onboard... but I remember a few weeks back we had a discussion about that after Ian and Sukie came back... was wondering if you felt there was a difference...

Monica, that's a great idea, thanks! I think the registration deadline is soon, for the whole summer, so I'm not sure that would work, but maybe I'll just still suggest that to his dad and he can cancel the 2nd week if Tyler ends up not wanting to go back for a 2nd week (as long as there would be no cancellation fee for him to do that). Thanks!

He did great, Michelle! He was only there about an hour at a time, then he'd leave and go watch a movie in the theater, or a movie on deck, or get something to eat, or go to the room, etc.

I saw no change in quality of service. :thumbsup2 That's just my perspective though.

Glad to hear he had a great improvement.. Tell him I'm proud of him!!!

Perhaps you could talk to the camp about Tyler and see if, with a Drs. note, you can get any cancellation fee waived... it might help...

Good idea Michelle. I did talk to somebody there last year in depth about his issues before he went to the 3 day camp so they'd know what to look for. They put him in a cabin with the smallest group and with an extra camp counsellor just in case, and told me they'd keep his info on file for future years. He did well, but 2, weeks is a big jump, so I will only let him do one week to see how it goes. I'm just dreading the phone call from his dad tonight to discuss. Oh well, its best to get it over with. :guilty:

He certainly did! I even got a few hugs from him :goodvibes He was like a different kid

I don't know if I'd agree 100% with Holly on this, but I had a great time. Those at the terminal had issues-but it was their 1st day so they needed to learn alot that couldn't have been taught/learned before guests arrived. Marlene & I discussed 1 server...he was nice & all, but I know that 1 morning our breakfasts were luke warm cuz it took him about 10 minutes to figure out who got what (Marlene watched him). He kept opening up the covers to see what was on the plate then looking at his notes. He also didn't get my order & another girl's order correct (we both ordered double portion of regular french toast...should have gotten 4 triangles but only got 2)

So Tyler and I talked about camp. When he told me he didn't want to go 2 weeks this year, he claims that was a while ago and that he's changed his mind because of how much better things are going for him in life in general so far. He's positive he did the 3 or 4 day camp 2 years ago and already bumped up to the week camp last year. I must be losing my mind, because I could have sworn last year was his first time, LOL! Time flies, I guess! We discussed, he told me the camp he really wants to do is called Pioneer Village and it's full of things he's interested in, so we we read about it on their website, he feels confident he can do it. I may be crazy, but I think I'll let him try. He really wants to try. If he can't handle it, they can always call us to pick him up. I was just mainly against it because I thought Tyler didn't want to.

How long of a camp is this one?

How long of a camp is this one?

It's the 2 week. The reason I was dead set against him doing it is because I felt he should ease into the 2 weeks by doing a week this year and 2 weeks next year, but I'd forgotten that he did the 3 or 4 day one 2 years ago and the 1 week last year. After we discussed, I actually called the camp administrative office, they checked their records, and sure enough, this will be his 3rd year, so he already bumped up to doing 1 week last year. How in the world did I forget about that? :confused3 His dad must think I'm a complete moron, LOL! He called me tonight and reminded me that I did say last year that if Tyler did fine with the 1 week that he could do 2 weeks the next year (which is now this year). I do remember saying that if he did 1 week successfully he could do 2 next time, but I honestly forgot he already did the 1 week. Maybe I need a vacation.

So we accidentally did some cleaning today. Now there are 2 extra city trash bags sitting out front for pickup in the morning. :thumbsup2 And Tyler has a couple empty shelves in his bedroom and I have widened the pathway to my bed in my bedroom a bit. :goodvibes Not very noticeable progress, but good progress for a weeknight after work and school. ;)

Holly :thumbsup2:thumbsup2 (now do you want to come over and do my house?

I think I'm getting  & it's the WORST time... I have to leave on Thursday to go to Baltimore for Em's graduation...

Yeah, right, my whole house needs to be cleaned in 2 weeks, so at the rate of about a square foot per day, that's not likely! ;)

Sorry you're getting sick though, hope it passes quickly.

Great picture!
