Monica, that's a great idea, thanks! I think the registration deadline is soon, for the whole summer, so I'm not sure that would work, but maybe I'll just still suggest that to his dad and he can cancel the 2nd week if Tyler ends up not wanting to go back for a 2nd week (as long as there would be no cancellation fee for him to do that). Thanks!Holly - can you do 2 weeks, but not in a row? Maybe 1 week in June, 1 week in July? Would that appease Dad?![]()
He did great, Michelle! He was only there about an hour at a time, then he'd leave and go watch a movie in the theater, or a movie on deck, or get something to eat, or go to the room, etc. That's a good idea... if he makes it through the first week... maybe he can do another...
btw... how did he do on the cruise? did he have time in the kids clubs this time?
Also... to all of the cruisers... how was the service on the ship? I'm sure pretty good, seeing as you had the Disney high honchos onboard... but I remember a few weeks back we had a discussion about that after Ian and Sukie came back... was wondering if you felt there was a difference...
Good idea Michelle. I did talk to somebody there last year in depth about his issues before he went to the 3 day camp so they'd know what to look for. They put him in a cabin with the smallest group and with an extra camp counsellor just in case, and told me they'd keep his info on file for future years. He did well, but 2, weeks is a big jump, so I will only let him do one week to see how it goes. I'm just dreading the phone call from his dad tonight to discuss. Oh well, its best to get it over with.Glad to hear he had a great improvement.. Tell him I'm proud of him!!!
Perhaps you could talk to the camp about Tyler and see if, with a Drs. note, you can get any cancellation fee waived... it might help...![]()

He certainly did! I even got a few hugs from himHe was like a different kid
I saw no change in quality of service. That's just my perspective though.
So Tyler and I talked about camp. When he told me he didn't want to go 2 weeks this year, he claims that was a while ago and that he's changed his mind because of how much better things are going for him in life in general so far. He's positive he did the 3 or 4 day camp 2 years ago and already bumped up to the week camp last year. I must be losing my mind, because I could have sworn last year was his first time, LOL! Time flies, I guess! We discussed, he told me the camp he really wants to do is called Pioneer Village and it's full of things he's interested in, so we we read about it on their website, he feels confident he can do it. I may be crazy, but I think I'll let him try. He really wants to try. If he can't handle it, they can always call us to pick him up. I was just mainly against it because I thought Tyler didn't want to.
How long of a camp is this one?
Holly(now do you want to come over and do my house?
