Sharing a Sydney story that my sister told me tonight....

David was stunned to have his first encounter with a suitor of Sydney’s asking him for her hand in marriage. The four-year-old boy approached David this afternoon at preschool and said “Sydney’s Dad, may I marry Sydney?” David wasn’t quite ready for this. But, are dads every really ready?

She said that this little boy asked HER this earlier this week....he went up to her and said "Sydney's Mom, may I marry Sydney?" to which she replied "if you wait a long time, and you love each other, yes you can"

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: That's so cute!!!!!

Yesterday I didn't get to do my in-house exercises. I was running around with the boys doing lots of errands. By the time I came home I was exhausted so I took a nap. But I was very active while I was out so that counts.

Today should be another rest day and tomorrow I'll do some stairs.

Still waiting to hear from Kaylee. I know she's super busy and will get back to me when she can. I sent her a detailed FB message as to my current level of activity and how I need to pace not race because of my autoimmune diseases. The more I do, the sicker I get. I need to keep that in check so that I don't get sick so that I can keep doing the activities. As Jan says, PACE NOT RACE!!!

It's so hard because I was so used to being a busy and active person who never rested while I was younger and before getting sick. I loved it. The busier the better for me. I never stopped. Maybe I used it all up....hahaha. Now I have no energy ever. I miss it. (Oh, except when I'm on steroids for vacations....then I'm the energizer bunny....haha.)

Can't get much done today. Pink eye started coming on yesterday, late morning. By the time I left at 6pm, I was miserable. Had I not been flying solo yesterday, I would have left around 3pm, it was that bad, but I had no choice but to finish the day. Started my eye drops, had to go to bed fairly early (for me, at least) just because I couldn't keep that eye open. The only reason I got out of bed this morning is because somebody was coming to pick up more outgrown items of Tyler's (7 bags of clothes, toys, games and books he packed up last week) for a family with 2 younger boys who we regularly pass his things on to. We'd planned on 10am, but she's ALWAYS early, so I got up at 9 just to be ready and waiting.

I need to clean the guinea pig cage TODAY, it can't wait another day, but that will have to wait until late in the day after lots more rounds of eye drops and keeping that eye closed. The drops usually make it feel better within a day, so I will definitely be fine by tomorrow, but today is shot. I'd even planned on going to bingo this afternoon, but now I'll be laying on the couch most of the day.

HI!!

Another 330am night for me.....I WILL be doing a 1/4 of that sleeping pill tonight. That way, if I feel like crap tomorrow it's ok. I'll be running errands shortly then come home & do :laundy: & pull/treat weeds so that if nothing gets done tomorrow I won't feel :guilty:.

Deb - don't stress about the activity...you WILL get there when you can. Sorry you're having to deal w/ your leg now after a problem free summer.

Holly - is Tyler at his Dad's? I hope so.

Feel better both of you.:hug::hug:

My neighbors across the street are having a garage sale and they have a dining table and chairs I REALLY want to look at!!!! I've been needing to replace our set for a couple years because both chairs broke, so one is being used with no back, and the other has been replaced with my rolling desk chair (I just roll it to where it's needed, LOL!). BUT I don't want to freak them out with my eye because they have a baby and a 4 yr old who I wouldn't want to get it. I suppose if I don't touch anything, just look, and tell them I want to buy it but ask if we can do the exchange when I'm not contagious?

Call to 1 of the adults from the street to come meet you first - explain the situation to them. I'm sure they'll be ok w/ it.

Yes, he's at his dad's. Plenty of time to wipe down everything with antibacterial wipes before he comes home. :thumbsup2 He's old enough now where he's pretty self-sufficient anyway, so I'd still be fine even if he were here. :thumbsup2

Good... Cause we'd hate to wipe YOU down with Anti-bac wipes!!! :rotfl:

PINK EYE....YUCK!! So sorry to hear this Holly. I had it one time and the doctor told me it was so contageous that I had to use different wash cloths and towels in the bathroom. One for each eye. And he told me that one hand could transfer germs to the other and I could get it in both eyes.

Just wear dark sunglasses when you have to see people and wear gloves on your hands.....haha. Then tell people you're impersonating a rock star. Hahaha.:lmao:

You definitely need a 1/4 tablet of that sleeping pill. If you find it works well for you, then ask your doctor for a lower dosage so you don't have to keep splitting pills. Hope you get some good sleep tonight.;)

:hug::hug: Oh Deb, I hate this happening to you.:hug::hug:

Thanks Holly. It really does SUX getting older. I used to be so healthy that doctors told me to get out of their office (jokingly) because I was wasting their time....since I was so healthy.

I guess all the abuse I did to my body is cumulative and now it's payback time. Ahhh but I have great memories. hahaha.

Actually Mon, I can't wait to get to Florida and walk in my pool everday. It doesn't hurt in there. I can swim and exercise too....but I'll do a lot of walking.

And I'll be eating better.....more fruits and veggies.....coz it will be hot and that's all I feel like eating in the heat. Also, I don't drink soda when I'm hot. Then I want water. So it will be better on all levels when we get to Florida. John says we only have 17 months now. We're both counting down.

The leg is the leg. It is what it is. Hopefully when I'm in that pool everyday and losing weight, it will go away for good.

Happy Saturday everybody!
The girls finished their outdoor soccer season today. No soccer for a month and then they start indoor soccer for the winter.
My job was a temp job that we moved for and I knew months ago that Aug/September would be crazy busy and it has been. I'm working half days every other weekend, and this one is my weekend off, and I'm relaxing watching football right now. Girls went out with my mom, and Ken went to a meeting.
Tomorrow I'll be helping the girls make cupcakes and cake for my birthday. Its what I want so its what I get :) Ken'll be making dinner. Yesterday he had flowers delivered to me at work, and my boss brought in a cake for lunch time.
I'm putting my name in for another temp position at the same company, and hopefully I'll just go from one position to another. My boss is hoping she can get approval to keep me permanently, but she doesn't know if it'll be approved.

Deb - sorry your leg is acting up. Keep going with the PACE not RACE.:cheer2:

Monica - hope the 1/4 pill worked better for you.:goodvibes

Jan - love your positive attitude:thumbsup2

Holly - hope your eye feels better fast.:cutie:

Michelle - No SNOW, tell it not to come yet

Shannon...

the SNOW is HOLLY'S idea... not mine!!!

& I'm waiting until it's official on this coast to wish you a happy birthday...

Tomorrow is Will's bday... :goodvibes

What ended up happening: I don't have their phone number, so I called the neighbor next to them, explained what's up, she went to talk to the neighbor with the sale, who said I should just come over because the kids were inside with grandma anyway. :thumbsup2 I just only touched what I was buying. Ended up with the table and 4 chairs for $40 and a brand new tent, never used, for $15. We're going camping next weekend, but staying in cabins, but 2 weeks after that is scout camping and we need a tent for that (I don't want to have to borrow Tyler's dad's stuff). Then I came home and slept for the rest of the day because I had a major headache from my eye hurting so long. But after lots of drops and it being closed so much today, it's halfway better.

Yes, I get it often, so am very familiar with the drill. ;) I like the sunglasses and gloves idea though, LOL! I didn't feel up to going out though, just felt better to have it closed, so sleeping was best. :thumbsup2 I used to get it often because I've always been a big eye-rubber. The reason I don't wear makeup is also because I've always just rubbed my eyes too much. Anyway, I haven't had pink eye for over a year, so it kind of surprised me, but I knew right away what it was from having it so often in the past. I have to change my bedding too, since that touches my face more than anything else. :headache:
