Well... I just got some sad news about a friend of mine... Actually I had a crush on Bob when we were in 4th grade... but I'm also friends with his wife and she's wonderful!!! Anyway... I just found out that he needs to have his 2nd kidney transplant. The last transplant he got a kidney from an old man, so they told him long ago that he would need another. He got the test results last night. We are all in shock. Bobby is my age. I'm waiting to hear because I think he has a rare blood type. Not that I could be a donor with my medical history... but I just wish there was something I could do...

I cant post this on FB for obvious reason... so Prayers and Pixie Dust are appreciated... Thanks!!
Sorry Michelle. I hope a kidney becomes available for him soon.:hug::hug:

OMG I can't believe that Victoria is turning two soon. WOW!!! I remember you telling us that Sheilah is preggers. But I'm thrilled that Tyler loves his baby sis. That is just too sweet. :cloud9:

I know, time has flown by! She's potty training already, going on her own since about 2 months ago, but not consistently of course. She adores Tyler too, and misses him when he's not there. Poor kid had to deal with everybody saying how much they miss him. I often wonder if that's hard on him, because he has such a big heart, cares to much about others' feelings, but he can't do anything about it.

Dennis and Angie are on the road, driving Granny to Montana so she can be closer to them.

I'm not on Michelle's list, but I have been lurking. I can read the thread on my i-phone but it is hard to post. I am also TIRED of winter and cold. Tom and I are looking forward to a cruise on the DREAM in May, Alaska in August on the WONDER and the DREAM over Halloween with our kids. PJ will be on that one too. We have never had three cruises in one year but I told Tom we are making up for 2003 and 2004 when we had no vacations at all.

 to Donna and Harry

:grouphug: to all

Wow, 3 cruises in one year! You're turning into Deb! ;) That's so cool! If I ever win the lotto, that's what I'll do!

Hey everyone! Just getting ready to turn back the clocks.

I'm looking forward to reading all of your Alaska trip reports since we won't be on the Wonder until the end of June.

Otherwise, more of the usual from me- kids getting bigger, hair getting greyer, etc ;)

I hope everyone is doing well!!

I love seeing all your pictures on FaceBook, your kids are adorable! :goodvibes

I haven't been on this thread in a long time. We are getting ready to book out next cruises and since some of you will be on there I thought I would pop back in.

We were supposed to go to Tokyo on April 1st but cancelled due to the current conditions in Japan. DH has to check with his boss but we are moving our vacation back and going on the back-to-back repo and alaska cruises. I am disappointed and excited at the same time but we are going to make the best of it and are thankful we were not in Japan when the quake hit. I guess we will be seeing some thieves again! I have no clue whats going on or what to do and not much time to plan!
JILL! I'm so excited we get to see you and Matt again!!!!!! :yay::woohoo::yay::woohoo::yay:

Sorry about your Tokyo trip though. :(

Anything to oblige -

The rain stopped long enough for hoods to come down.

Aw, how cool! :goodvibes

oooo - I'm pretty good at charades :lmao:

Promenade Lounge... 11 PM.... Unless you are going to include them in the Geezer's hour... ;)

Howdy! Michelle told me to come here and tell you all something I mentioned on FaceBook, but I can't remember exactly what it was, something along the lines of how FaceBook has been the death of our thread here. :sad2: :grouphug:

YUP... that was it... cause nobody believes me when I say it..

Hi Donna! :goodvibes We haven't had new snow in longer than I can remember.

Week and a half... :rotfl2:

Sorry Michelle. I hope a kidney becomes available for him soon.:hug::hug:

Thanks Holly...

You're gonna regret saying that. I'll telling Tyler! That will make you his new best friend, LOL! It's one of his favorite games! ;)

1st words... Shakespeare tragedy.. :lmao:

Thanks Holly.. but I'm gonna get the guts up to say it myself...

and argue all you want.. you know it's true...

THIS THREAD DIES BECAUSE OF FACEBOOK!!!

& yes... I agree that FB does serve a purpose...it is nice to see pictures and everything... but ever since everyone has gone over there.. this thread has lost it's intimacy. Anyone remember when we used to go through everyday things TOGETHER??? When we celebrated holidays and accomplishments, births, weddings, everything together.

We shared stories too... when was the last time we heard about Ian's sunday Mornings? Jackies adventures to the movies? How many times Cherie's been to DL this year???

WE USED TO TALK!!!!

We talked about things you couldn't over on FB.. Yes...it's still a public forum, but not as public as FB... It was thieves stuff...

Come on... we planned and over planned trips together in the past on these threads.. I've barely heard or read anyone's plans for LA & Alaska and sure... I'm not on the cruise and I'm sure some planning is going on over on the other threads, but WE ARE THIEVES!!! Hasn't anyone even linked dining yet???

Anyway... I'll get back off my soap box now... :rolleyes1

Hey Jill, It'll be great to see you and Matt again!! Not too long now. I don't know "what's planned" either, other than Champagne Girls--get in touch with Deb about that. Hopefully we can spend time reconnecting with our fellow Thieves.:goodvibes

Just got home from meeting Monica.:banana::banana:

We went on a guided walking tour to see the Olympic Park - in the rain! It was all very interesting can't wait to see the site finished. Took the tube back into central London & left Monica at Fortnum & Masons where she was meeting the girls for tea. Albert will hopefully post a picture later.

Meeting Monica in the Uk seems to be becoming an annual event.:yay:

Great picture! Good to "see" you, Ann and Albert!

Wow, lots of chatter going on here the last couple of days!

Hi everyone, nice to see so many thieves popping in to say hi :goodvibes

Weather has been horrible here the last week, rain and rain and rain...then tons and tons of wet and heavy snow...but I'm really very thankful that's all I have to complain about. I feel so sorry for all of the people in Japan and for what they are having to deal with :sad1:

Hi Kathe, see you soon!

Harry goes for a CT scan next month so we will know more then. Hopefully he is still stable. His legs and feet are causing him terrible pain...neuropathy, plantar faciitis and horrible cramping. He has been receiving treatment that has helped just a little. He still drags himself to work so we can hang onto health insurance. He is a toolmaker and on his feet all day. Plus, he works all the overtime he can tolerate as 40 hours do not pay the bills. And believe me, I am a penny pincher and quite good at it! We don't want to dip into our retirement funds until we absolutely have to. Hard times for so many people.:sad2: As I keep saying, I don't know how he does it. :confused3

Donna

Hi Donna, Hugs to you and Harry. Kudos to him for keeping on and to you for being a good $$ manager. I hope he has good results on his next scan.

I went to see The Adjustment Bureau this afternoon. I really liked it. I thought it was very original!

Spent a good part of today going through old family photos, looking for certain ones that I want to make copies/enlargements of to put up in my living room. There are now piles of photos in both bedrooms and the living room. It really enjoyed seeing lots of them, some I hadn't looked at in 15-20 years. Now I've got to scan the ones I want to display.

My taxes are almost ready to take to the accountant. I just need to add up some figures and put numbers in boxes. I want to turn them in tomorrow--hope I actually do!:headache:

I've decided that over the summer I'm going to scan in all the pics from my grandmother and grandfather and then make discs and give them to all of the family... I hope that will stop everyone from fighting over who gets the family pics... everyone gets at least copies of them ..:thumbsup2

Jumping back in. The last month has been very busy for me. I essentially dropped off here and facebook. Finished another course, and am starting the next one this week. I'm really enjoying work although its been very busy and I hardly ever leave on time. Atmosphere is great there, and I'm getting lots of opportunity to learn.
The girls are busy with Sparks & dance lessons for Kaleigh, and Guides for Shaelyn. In May they'll both start playing outdoor soccer again.

Shaelyn did her first science fair! Two weeks ago it was the school fair, and she was recommended to go to the regional fair. Yesterday I spent the entire day (8am to 9:30pm) with Shaelyn and her partner at the science fair. They ended up getting an honourable mention certificate, which is fantastic!

Time to get back into the dis :goodvibes

Hi to everybody!
